Out of curiosity what used to occupy the island that most of MF is on now?

I really hope they get the kinks in all of the lighting issues worked out, and soon. I think it would add such a neat extra to the ride. I dont know when I will get to go to Cedar Point (hopefully next year or the year after) so I hope they are working up to par by then.

Years ago, it probaly could have been fixed and operational, but it has sat dormant for nearly 20 years now. There is no way it could be funtional again, and even if it were it would cost a LOT of money, more than it is worth. I mentioned in a post a few pages back, it even has weeds and trees growing up through it now. The ride is now a total loss. A new flat really is a better option. Also, I thought of this recently, Boomerang would have fit perfectly into the area, and brought some life back to that area so I dont understand why they took out an operational, and popular ride like the bumper cars instead of the Hannibarrels for Boomerang. But whats done is done.

I wonder when the official announcement will be?

I think it's safe to say that we won't be seeing another Intamin ride at a Cedar Fair park anytime soon. Why do you say that?

Well, at least SFStL got noticed. That could mean positive things.........

I feel the two best SF parks I've been to are SFGAm and SFStL. Yes, SFStL needs more, but its a great park for what it does have. SFGAm just has an enviornment and atmosphere unlike anywhere else. I'd love to go back some day.

Anybody hear any 2014 rumors yet?

I understand Condor has been having frequent breakdowns. Do you think this may ultimately be its last season?

I went to this park for the first time last year. It was by far one of my most favorite parks I've been to... I also got my #100 on Diamondback. Shortly after that, I went to one of my most hated parks for the first time: SF Magic Mountain. What a nightmare. I'm surprised you didnt like SFMM better than SFStL

I wouldnt be surprised if our Batman runs backwards next season. They tested ours backwards during the past off season, so I'd expect our park to get the chasis next season. Of course I'm just speculating, but wouldnt be surprised.

So thier property goes all the way out to that river, and then over to "Kings Stadium"? If so, that is a lot of property. Maybe even more than SFGAd has!

Does anyone know how much property Kings Island has, meaning undeveloped land/future expansion? I'm just curious, and pictures would be helpful if possible.

^^ no that is just a store. It was also called River King Mine Train, then when stand up trains were put on it it was called Rail Blazer. The intrance for it was to the right of the intrance for the the one that still exists. Its station and loading platform are still there. They are used for Haunts during Fright Fest.

When I was there in late May, it had weeds and trees growing up through it, and some of the electrical was rusted. Its a shame. It is a prime location for something new though. Its just a matter of getting it done. We can complain all we want, its not going to happen for a long time. Just frustrating.

It would be nice if they could refurbish the Hannibarrels and give them a grand re-opening, but I know that will never happen.

And have been sitting dormant and overgrown ever since. Its time to take them out and add something to the area. Its been time for a long time.
