  1. ^^ I would definitely say get the Platinum Pass!
  2. Hi friends! I went to SFStL on Tuesday. I really had a great time. It was the best time I've ever had at the park. Crowds were very light and the longest wait was about 20 minutes. All rides were running one train except Screamin Eagle, which was running two but went down to one later in the day. Pandamonium was down for about four hours but later opened. The landscaping was way better than I remember in the past, so kudos to SF for that. A few things I noticed, Excalibur and Pandamonium were both in need of new paint. Excalibur you could see the original blue from when it was at SFGAd in several spots, plus alot of the theming (the ropes) had been removed. Parking was a rediculous $20 and the food was extremely overpriced for the quality. The pathway between Batmans exit and The Joker has been blocked off, I think for the paintball attraction. Ripcord, and the go karts were both down all day. Now for the rides: Batman- One ride. Fantastic! I kept my arms up the whole ride, for the first time! The Joker- One ride. Didnt like it, as always, just rode for my friends. Screamin Eagle- Two rides. Seriously the best ride I've ever had on it! Was not rough and was just tons of fun. First ride I had tons of air time. Second time still great, but not as much air time. Mine Train- Two rides. Was really fun, but a lot rougher than it used to be. I mean significantly. Ninja- One ride. Rode for nostalgia purposes (my first real coaster). It was fun, but very very rough. I honestly dont expect it to be around a lot longer. American Thunder- Two rides. This was the longest wait. About 20 minutes. Really enjoyable, and had a lot of air time, but it seemed a little more intense when I rode it for the first time two years ago. The Boss- One ride. Was really rough, but I always enjoy that about The Boss. I guess I'm the black sheep lol! Mr. Freeze Reverse Blast- One ride. This was my first time riding it sense its been reversed. I dont think I will ever ride it again. Its always been the one coaster to make me a little nervous, but with the change it litterally terrified me. Yes, it was an excellent adrenaline rush, but I dont like being so scared I feel like I could cry lol! Seriously it was that bad. Pandamonium- One ride. This was my first time riding it. I've had other oppurtunities but spinning rides make me sick (except the Scrambler) so I've always been too leary to try it. Well my friends suggested the best way for our group (four of us) to distribute the weight. It worked perfectly. Little spins that were not too intense and it turned out to be very fun and I really enjoyed it. We managed to do the dips after the second break run sideways which was a blast. I'm glad I finally got to do it and I will do it again providing the weight can be distributed well. Boomerang- Does not open until June 8th, but I did get to see it testing. I'm still not excited about having a used 24 year old Boomerang, but I have to say it looks very nice. I had such a great time. I left out details about the other flat rides because I did not ride them because I get sick spinning so I left those to my friends. We also did Scooby Doo Ghost Blasters and I got the high score with over 26,000 points,so yay! lol! Any questions about some aspects I may have left out just let me know.
  3. Seems to me that the park should focus on getting the rides running correctly *forwards* before they start with more backwards nonsense. I was planning to go tomorrow with about 4 other people, all of whom were planning to get season passes - but with this news we've decided to go do something else instead. Really bummed to see the park in such shambles this season. At least all the in-park advertising is working! I hate to hear the park is in shambles right now, but I'm staying optimistic and going to say its still very early in the season, and by the time June rolls around everything will be up to par. Its been so long since I've been to SFGAm, but it is still my favorite one in the chain, so I hope this is just early season hick ups.
  4. Ohhhhhhhhhh!!!! Green track! Love it! Not only is it my favorite color, but it POPS on the skyline!
  5. I'm so excited about going to the park next Tuesday!
  6. It wasn't posted on their Facebook. I expect this to be true. It's been a rumor for some time that after Batman backwards is over we'll see both AE Blue and Viper run backwards, but not at the same time. One will probably be for Fright Fest. I would guess Viper will run backwards from mid July to mid September and then AE will run backwards for Fright Fest. What years has AE run backwards before? AE ran backwards for fright fest in 2002
  7. ^ Do you mean coaster track could appear in July, or the announcement could be in July?
  8. I cant wait to see what this turns out to be
  9. I cant believe it! Called 911 from the ride! Stupid B!#$h! Some people need to just stay out of the theme parks. Idiots!
  10. Why do they close for such light rain? I understand, and respect safety, but thats a little much!
  11. ^ Nice pics! I still love that color scheme!
  12. Cant even tell there was ever a go kart track there lol
  13. I too have mourned the loss of OzCat. It was my first GCI. I loved it! I'm going to miss it. Maybe one day we will get a replica of it at SDC, or another park, but I dont highly expect it. I'm just glad I got to experience it in its short life.
  14. ^ Thats what I've been wondering too
  15. ^ I agree! Steeper first drop, and insane overbanking on all of the turns, and a double barrel roll just before the double helix. That would be awesome to see while standing in line!
  16. ^I am totally feeling the Iron Beast man! I want it to be either that, or a custom B&M Invert that breaks records (longest, tallest, fastest invert)! The suspense is killing me! lol
  17. Lol hopefully not! I dont do spinning rides for that reason, and so far the only coasters that have ever made me queesy are Batman The Ride at SFGrAM, Batman The Ride at SFStL, and Raptor at CP. But like you said, you never know lol!
  18. ^Right?! They should have at least put Superman in the area!
  19. I've always thought that about Corkskrew too. I think the corkskrews should be left if it must be taken out one day. Another theme park actually did that, but I cant remember which one off the top of my head. And as far as what could be added in the space, I think a Eurofighter would do just fine there.
  20. I think we will see our hyper soon enough. Within the next one to two years.
  21. I personally feel like the new attraction ideas are not that far fetched
  22. I'm so glad I've never gotten sick on a ride! I would be so embarrassed! *Knocks on wood*
