  1. No problem! If you have any more questions feel free to ask! Hope you have a great time and maybe I'll see you when I'm working haha . I go to Knott's one to two times a month. Let me know what ride you work on. I'm guessing that a picture of you in your avatar.
  2. Our policy on the fiesta flats is yes you can wear them if you have a strap, so I would assume yes. Sunday shouldn't be too bad, you should be able to get all the mazes done relatively easy if you show up at rope drop, but it may be worth it if you want the luxury. This will my second Year and I'm more interest in both shows and mazes. Are mazes less busy later in the night? In my personal experience, when you show up at rope drop you can pretty much walk on every maze if you just go in a rotation. After that, around 9-10 P.M. the mazes start getting really busy until it gets closer to closing, around 2 or so. Your best bet would be to show up at rope drop and do the prescare dinner if you want to get the early entry. What direction should I go at rope drop. Towards ghost rider or away from ghost rider?
  3. They need to find a way to put the camel back into colossus..... that was the best damn part....they didn't need a brake run... the whole train would ride the upstops all the way down.... it was like... rumble rumble rumble..... silence........airtime the whole way...then BAM rumble rumble as it slammed into the bottom.... need to strengthen the track and take out the brake run LOL.... Your right about how must better colossus was.

  5. predictions... They close the whole colossus area. They work on colossus (One and a half years for colossus). But they also work on theming for Scream and they tear down The old Ben and Jerry's building and put a flat ride there.
  6. In previous years there has been Revolution (and Viper) ERT at night. I remember one year riding Revolution during night ERT and the employees were excited people were actually coming to ride (if I remember right, there were only six or seven people on the train and when we got back there was maybe one person waiting). Due to the trees, Revolution is actually a pretty decent ride when it's dark, but I wouldn't ride more than once since it's still the roughest coaster at the park. What surprised me is Gold rusher at night. But for me any ride with no line is fun... Yes Ninja when the shadows are casting is enjoyable. It's all about the time of the day when I ride a terrain coaster.
  7. Just force your head back against the headrest (The same rule can apply to Riddler). True we shouldn't have to do this on a roller coaster...But this is making the best of what we have to work with here. It's a nice roller coaster as it goes in and out of the terrain. So don't count it out. Especially when you have shadows in the late afternoon from the trees. As for Green lantern. In my opinion you're best bet is to tighten the restraints around your crotch. Then when you start to flip, roll your shoulders forwards like your rolling out of a car. These are just tips and I hope they help.
  8. i'm not praising MM, yes they are milking this build and the park management needs to be looked at for the lackluster job they are doing. Sorry, i'm Just upset that all of us talk and talk. The ride is built and landscapping is being done. PLease let's just sit back and wait for the finish product. Thank you, for responding. Have a Fabu day! I don't think anyone is blaming the workers. They are doing a great job. Yes Lex Luther took longer then expected so they put everything into that first. But still it was poor planning as it was already pointed out. They started this projects months after Lex Luther was already opened.
  9. I was on Apocalypse when the fire was going. It was on the side of the hill next it the ride. So they held us at the final breaks before the station as they cleared the station and closed the ride. I checked later in the day and the ride was closed all day. The park was very busy as they had 75 buses (yes I counted them as I rode Colossus). Most of the buses were from schools. Mostly high school seniors and the rest 8th graders. It was busier then a lot of summer days because of busing in so many students. So I will not be going back until schools are out.
  10. Although you'd think a longer roller coaster would be a better fit to take up the whole space. What your not seeing is all the room left on the hill for another roller coaster or a water ride. They do have plans to build more on the hill.
  11. It would have taken so long and cost so much money, that it made absolutely no sense. It needed to be a complete rebuild from both the inside and outside. They would have had to pay staff more, bring in a new management team, redo the training program, upgrade the food offerings, fix/maintain all the infrastructure in disrepair, and still add new family friendly attractions... Or... Make an investment in a new coaster every year and let the money start pouring in. I agree it's just too late to try a family park again. Maybe in 10 years but right now their survey question is what would you rate on a scale of 1 to 10. The need for thrill rides. The next question is what would you rate the need for family rides. That's the only two questions they asked. Now if you already have a mostly thrill ride crowd... What do you think the answers will be?
  12. Went to the park today. I've read all the post for the pass two days. They are all pretty much dead on. Seems most posters have a good idea of how the park is being ran and the direction it is still heading. They didn't even open X2 until 3:30 and then only one train. It wasn't windy so who knows why. Gold rusher was closed and I could see a worker working on a new support for the new roller coaster that was next to the gold rusher track. The park is what to park is. I wish they would hire more employees as the employees are not enough and I'm sure over worked.
  13. Slower loading, whereas last year if you were a the entrance of the queue of WindSeeker at Carowinds you would have to wait around 10 minutes, yesterday it was about 25 minutes. So much for Windseeker's supposed high capacity. I've heard from ride operators that many parks were short cycling the ride to have more people ride per hour.
  14. I've heard that they have a lot of electrical wires running under the parking lot there. I have heard rumors that if they plan on redoing Colossus, that they may do some theme work on scream to make the whole area look nicer.
  15. Knott's is still closed. Good to see other ones are opening.
  16. I see nothing from Knott's office facebook page.https://www.facebook.com/KnottsBerryFarm It's listed as close on their site. I'll swing by Knott's today to check it out.
  17. I posted this at the windseeker status thread and I'll post it here. I talked with a ride operator who's ride was not running and he had some time to kill. We got into a long conversation. I got some great information about windseeker from him. First off this is a ride operator...not a mechanic. But he does have mechanic friends and seems to know tons of information. So take this at face value and know it Is not a 100% reliable source. The new evacuation system was parked under windseeker at Knott's yesterday. DOSH did inspect it I believe Wednesday. They signed off on it...More about that in a moment. But they didn't like the ladder inside the windseeker and told them to fix it. It has no railing for a harness or any safety around it. This is the one inside the ride, not outside. I'm not sure why they didn't bring this up the first time but they brought it up now. Now the news on the new evacuation system at Knott's. The DOSH told them this is not plan a or b or even c to evacuate. It's like plan f. They want them to only use this one at Knott's if all others plans will not work. Seems it's in two pieces and It's behind a wall where Montezuma is. The only way to get it to windseeker is with a crane. Once the crane is at Montezuma it will take about an hour and a half to get it moved and install. Now for the bad part. The only way to get the crane to Montezuma and to windseeker is to CLOSE THE MIDWAY! So they are looking at many hours to do this.

  19. Agreed This is Cal/osha making them have something.
  20. Went to the park yesterday. I got in 10 min early with a gold pass but it was worthless. X2 was closed because of winds. It stayed close all day. So I went to Tatsu. They didn't even have a train warming up. Again they said it was because on winds. So I went to superman... It was now past 10:30 the opening time and They were still testing the ride and not open. I walked past Ninja and they were still testing. Then I got down to apocalypse and It was running..Surprise. But only one train. The park didn't seem they were ready to open. Viper was running two trains but everything else had One train. Lex Luther was not open because of winds. It didn't seem they had enough employees to run the park either. I read that they are being sued because of various employment violations. No breaks and not paying for overtime among them. So this may be why they seemed under staffed.
  21. Thanks for posting that. I noticed on the web page they chanced the reopening date of the log ride to summer.
  22. I never admit when I'm wrong either....Especially when I know I am.
