  1. Colossus will probably only run one side backwards with two trains.
  2. No, SFMM isn't into the whole tease whats new for this year game.
  3. I wouldn't expect any mention of Collossus tomorrow but you never know If Iron Collossus is for 2015 I'd expect an announcement in earlly to mid 2014
  4. It wasn't Revolution, seriously? I'm pretty sure it was Riddler and Scream that were switched, but I'm not sure which way. It was originally Scream but Riddler was running one train so they replaced Scream with Riddler.
  5. Possibly an inspection but i can see that some work has been done to that particular turn This was how the turn looked about two weeks ago prior to the closure They've done something to this particular turn maybe not re-tracking but something happened that forced the park to close the ride
  6. Mini Update from Sunday August 25, 2013 Hopefully X2 will be back up and running soon Some re-tracking work Apocalypse is currently closed as well but they finally cleaned up behind Apocalypse In case you didn't know where we are! X2 is currently closed after the lift chain broke. The Full Throttle crane Full Throttle No 2014 activity to report over by Déjà Vu's former spot Maybe one day Déjà Vu's footers will be removed, not likely though! Maybe the 2014 attraction will be for the water park
  7. Full Throttle opening day photos The worlds tallest loop The out of your seat moment Although the brakes start half way down the drop the moment you drop off the top hat your pulled right out of your seat You walk right under the launch track Exposed wires my favorite The launch is extremely smooth and quiet The coolest feeling, hang time through the loop The very last row provides the longest amount of hang time it lasts for a second or two but it feels a lot longer The loop is simply massive Sweep over the Superman plaza, the train is very quiet as it passes overhead The dive into the tunnel was probably the most intense part of the ride along with the sudden stop in the tunnel The backwards launch was a nice surprise Cresting the top hat The exit ramp is right under the brake run Drop off the top hat into the brakes The wait time was reasonable all day initally the line was long but it eventually stayed at about 60-90 minutes for most of the day The area around Full Throttle is still unfinished Some landscaping toward the entrance to the plaza LED's to light the plaza at night Some entertainment while you're waiting in line The canopy looks really cool at night Train returning to the station after a roll back LSM's start in the station Green LED's on the restraints The ride is a lot of fun and I really enjoyed my multiple rides. The hang time in the loop was probably the best part. Hopefully in the next couple weeks the rest of area receives some touch ups like a roof for the station and some effects in the tunnel.
  8. This moment is indescribable. . Probobly the best part of the ride
  9. Knott's itself is fairly small but the property as a whole is fairly large Knott's Berry Farm not including parking lot 2.304e+5 m² / 23.04 hectares / 0.2304 km² / 2.479e+6 ft² / 56.92 acres / 0.08894 mile² So the park itself is roughly 56.92 acres or about 60 acres Knott's Berry Farm - entire property including, the parking lot, Independence Hall, and Soak City 6.475e+5 m² / 64.75 hectares / 0.6475 km² / 6.970e+6 ft² / 160.0 acres / 0.2500 mile² So everything is about 160.0 acres
  10. More photos for Full Throttle and some things from around the park I know its only been a couple days since the last update but I thought I would share some more photos from yesterday and today. Not much has changed but some minor things to point out about Full Throttle The first car is now loaded with some water dummies, full testing should start very soon The back of the old Log Jammer queue building is now painted white and some scaffolding is starting to be removed I'm curious to see if the wall will stay white or if some detailing will be applied later The exit ramp is almost finished Switch backs prior to the entrance ramp, you'll enter / exit under the loop and launch track From the Sky Tower you can see some trees planted on the hillside More landscaping The trains look very nice I especially like the silver, blue, and red wheels top hat / drop off the loop Brakes Almost vertical Moving on from Full Throttle this is how the fountain looked a day ago now.. All the fountains are back up and running The waterfall in the background was also back up and running Daffy Duck Advertisement overload Still running one train No comment This is the result of 10 years in the Sun If only it could look this good! (at least the parking spots faded too) The events been running for the past few weeks and continues through the middle of June Stage in front of DC Universe Lighting equitment New flowers for Batman Maybe one day Batman could run as Namtab The left side seems to consistently go higher than the right side At least they have signs to tell you if the ride closes early (the sign was not supposed to be there but no one had removed last night) Superman Continuing the Superman trend, Superman and Lex Luther bus Other ad warped buses include X-2 Goliath Tatsu And Yolo bus - the 6th bus to complete the fleet is Viper but I haven't seen that one run yet x-2's second train in for refurbishment (this photo was one I took about a week or 2 ago but the train is still in refurbishment its just sitting on a different section of track now) Train 3 and 1 are currently running and after ridding both, train 3 has a lot less violent shaking in the final raven turn. Hopefully when train 2 returns the ride will be slightly less violent. Apocalypse is back to 2 trains but for some reason train 1 is extremely bumpy and has a lot of vibration the ride was pretty painful. Couldn't tell you if train 2 was the same didn't get a chance to ride in that train. In all honesty my ride on Colossus was smother than Apocalypse. Maybe it was the day or the heat but the ride was definitely rougher than usual results may very. I'm curious to know if any one else has noticed the ride becoming progressively rougher. Fire Speaking of fire one happened to be put out right behind Apocalypse Thanks for reading!
  11. Full Throttle update May 31,2013 Loop and construction stuff New retail / food location freshly painted sort of... Dirt lot of nothing New trees More magical boxes of electrical stuff I see a train on the track Full train Full Throttle Both trains are on the track although ones sort of split apart and the old Log Jammer station/queue line building is fully sealed and will probobly be painted in some way, well hopefully I hope this train enjoys this section of track because i expect it to sit there for 4 months out of the year Odd color choices but as long as the pink wallls are painted i can live with it New concrete for the entrance to the new Full Throttle area One moment its here the next its gone sort of The train it magicly disappeared it was no 70 mph launch more like 5 mph (possibly slower) but hey you have to start somewhere right. The train went up about 10-20 feet into the loop and rolled back to the station. Final shot from above Looks better now that the chain link fence was painted black New framing being installed into the tunnel New framing Now that some minor testing is starting we can only hope that a full test will happen very soon also i heard an employee mention to another guest that the ride should open sometime in July but no specific date was mentioned apparently they're behind schedule, doesn't surprise me.
  12. Full Throttle update May 11, 2013 Full throttle update time! 160 foot loop and a lot of empty space The only other building in this somewhat empty space From above you can see the entrance/exit ramps are being installed The station floor is also installed Nothing to see here... Electrical work continues on the LSM's Electrical work on the station and other electrical components More electrical boxes and such also the station has a railing surrounding the perimeter Scaffolding attached to the old Log Jammer station Something looks different here Oh chain linked fencing surrounding the tunnel that's it Full Throttle supports over the hill of death Trip prevention I presume, although the railing isn't really effective in serving such a purpose A twist and a dive Tunnel Forward dive into the tunnel backward launch out of the tunnel Temporary barriers surrounding the supports The other supports no longer have temporary barriers surrounding the supports but rather a nice new fence Tatsu wanted to be in the picture Full Throttle at sunset
  13. Here's a tour around Six Flags Magic Mountain and an update on Full Throttle enjoy! Photos from 4-20-13 Lets take a little tour around Six Flags Magic Mountain Waterfalls my favorite! Tatsu Hey, where is everybody? Superman! Paint Fresh paint on the newly installed fence Nothing new here but hey its a tunnel Goldrusher Noted Riddler's Revenge plaza with nice new plants The plant in the center is questioning its existance New flowers Riddler's Revenge Loop over the lift They're still planting some things around Batman Bat signal Batman the Ride looking good Batmobile More new flowers and such The center piece has been removed probably for some stage to be added over top You should drop by this ride some time its a really good drop ride with a great view of the surrounding area Falling to your doom I see Drop ride awesomeness Moving on this building is closed I though the ride was running rather well today Parking Lot Coaster Green Lantern On to the front of the park, hey look a giant fake tree More new flowers in Bugs Bunny World Road Runner Express Monorail still goes through Bugs Bunny World for some odd reason Lets go check out Full Throttle shall we Electrical work continues Moving on to X-2 which got some new flowers recently Tatsu's pretzel loop Full Throttle loop in the background compared to Revolutions loop and Tatsu Continuing around the park, this very spot is where both Tatsu trains double the ride time! However to Magic Mountains credit they were using both stations for the majority of the day. Superman also used both sides from opening to close. Sky Tower Full Throttle Nothing really new to report Behind Apocalypse is where trams go to die Ahhh you wont be missed Flying on a coaster Twisty So with that lets end this tour with a shot of X-2...
  14. Full Throttle photos from 4-14-2013 Mr. Crane... Loops done but you already knew that! Full Throttle track is complete Brake run Transfer Nothing new here LSM's and wires Lots of electrical to be done Magnetic brakes I see you Mr. loop And with that the end...

Full Throttle update 4-2-2013 Today seems like a good day to go to Six Flags Magic Mountain Mr. Crane The loop/airtime hill Double spine track Close up Cool supports This turn should pull some nice g's Close up on double spine track Connection point between two segments of track This ride looks so good from so many angles Artistry Oh ahhhh The tunnel has some new concrete and some evacuation stairs Mandatory shot Around front you can see the station has started to go vertical The station and some trenches for electrical stuff The second tower for the loop/top hat has gone vertical To the Sky Tower Overview The forces into the loop should be quite forceful Station going vertical The pull out of the loop A few track pieces remain Some pieces loaded and ready to be transported and installed A look at the loop/top hat track And with that this update has reached it's conclusion...
  16. ^The minimum height requirement will probably be around 54'' which is the minimum height requirement for Superman Ultimate Flight as for the maximum height requirement somewhere around 78'', could be higher or lower though.
  17. Also after looking through some more photos I noticed the tunnel was repainted Before (2 weeks ago) After
  18. As I said in the Full Throttle update the new 2013 maps are out and they give a real good indication of what's in this new 5 acre Full Throttle area. Front of the 2013 map and guide Overview of the new area which includes new entertainment, new shops, two new food locations, FullThrottle games, and the entrance to Full Throttle but sadly no other rides New entertainment in Full Throttle's area Number 43 is the new entertainment and number 24 is the entrance to Full Throttle Full Throttle New game New place to shop Two new food locations in the Full Throttle area as well as some freestyle Coke machines Number 36 FullThrottle games Number 75 new shopping location Number 64 new food location High Octane Wings Number 65 new food location Loaded Dogs
  19. Update on Full Throttle Quite a busy day (Physics Day) at the Mountain here are a few notes and pictures 2 trains - Batman, Colossus, Goliath, Ninja, Revolution, Riddler, Tatsu, Viper, X-2 1-train Apocalypse, Gold rusher, Scream, SEFK one train one side For the first time in a long time at least from what I've seen Tatsu actually ran with two stations for the majority of the day, but ran one station in the morning and ran one station for the last few hours prior to closing you knew two stations wouldn't last long on Tatsu The 2013 maps are out nothing really to see other than a new coaster Both trains on x-2 actually had audio working!! Photos from March 16, 2013 Nice day for an update on Full Throttle Hello Mr. Crane Dive down into the tunnel Sweep over the Superman Plaza Sweep into the snake dive About 10 to 12 feet or so More supports are up I hope they repaint the Superman logo TAKE THE TUNNEL (twice) both forwards and backwards after the cool dive of course Twisty Look at those curves An overview of the progress Look at that line shame they were only running one side, oh and there's some track too Lots of supports, the only supports left are the two towers for the loop and a few other odds and ends More track Transfer track From the ground Supports for the loop and launch I wonder what this attaches too Height perspective compared to Tatsu So with that I leave you with these final two shots
  20. Photos from March 2, 2013 floating crane double crane action track head chopping and possible hand loss approved, it adds to the thril twisty track
