I rode the Boss Saturday, first time in about 4 years. It is much tamer than it used to be for sure. The First Drop is still very good. The Mid-Course Trim Brakes brings the train to a severe halt (probably due to the shortened track) and it just barely creeps over the 3rd hill. The 2nd half of the ride is not very interesting at all, especially without the Helix. The ride may not cause the headaches and bruises like it used to but at a cost. It's just not fun anymore.

I would think they did this to lessen the chance of someone getting injured and avoiding potential lawsuits. ie. Lessons learned with Son Of Beast.

Like how? Can't imagine what else you could use it for. Moon Cars. The current track is too wide and considering most of it or at least half of it (current track) will be removed, I can't see that happening.

Any idea how they will landscape the area once all the Concrete from the track is removed?

Comparing SFSTL to Knotts!??? just can't be done.

it's a simple re-theming of Xcalibur to Cat Woman or Lasso of Truth, ...or something. That's my guess.

What would frustrate me is if any proceeds, money earned from SFSTL, would go to another park. ie. keeping Magic Mountain up to par with 'The Jones' in LA. I would hope that doesn't happen. I often wonder if our Park would be better off owned Locally.

Reopen Excalibur and Tidal Wave and advertise them as new rides

So any activity, markers, survey equipment , etc. at our park? any indicators at all for 2020 ???

Why spend the cash in Advertising around STL? Everyone knows SF is here and there is nothing to really advertise about. I would hope they advertise elsewhere though, like Memphis or other smaller cities around the Midwest. ...and Holiday World does just that. I am sure they don't advertise locally, no point.

Mr Freeze covers our Launched Coaster category... can't see another one headed to our Park. Maybe will be lucky in 2020 with some new steel but like always I never hold my breath.

Since this the worst possible scenario that could happen to Tidal Wave's Site, it probably will happen.

So Tidal Wave is SBNO with no plans to reopen?

If the Hotel included a Hyper Coaster to shuttle you back and forth from the Park, I say Go For it!
