  1. Here's my biggest question: Is the addition the largest by financial investment or overall size? A single $20million coaster would blow the $13million spent on the Voyage/Thanksgiving additions out of the water, but a size addition would be even more exciting. The fact that they would spend the time and money to create two microsites for this project, definitely says something.
  2. When I hover my cursor over the "66 Days" words, it says, "The Diary of my Journey." I'm interested to see who the specific person it may be referring to is.
  3. ^I've tried pressing every day's button hoping for an error in the web design, but looks like everything is ship shape.
  4. Has anyone noticed the site? It almost looks like things will be announced day by day, slowly over the course of 66 days. http://www.holidayworld.com/66days/
  5. Has anyone else thought that a B&M using Pilgrim's Plunge's splash pool like Diamondback uses it might fit? They would just have to reverse the direction the PP used the station for the new coaster.
  6. I think that the park has one of the coolest skylines as seen from I-44. Make sure that while driving away at night after the park closes to check out the ferris wheel that turns into a giant clock. Have a great time!
  7. Also, there seems to have been a few complaints and compliments posted here about things in the park thus far in the season. While you are typing all of your feedback up online here, if you want it to be taken into account by park management and didn't stop by guest relations, go ahead and submit it online with as much detail (especially names, dates, or times) as you can remember. Guest feedback is the best way for us to improve the park. A lot of employees deeply care about the park and our guests, so your comments are not just thrown away or sitting on a hard drive. Even if it seems trivial, we love hearing from you....the good and the bad. https://www.sixflags.com/stlouis/plan-your-visit/contact-us
  8. I'm glad you had a good experience. We love getting people back out into the park ASAP! Speaking of season passes, the buy 4 passes and get a parking pass free discount has been extended until June 15th if anyone is still interested.
  9. To all of you, "They'll just make more water rides because that's all Holiday World does now" type of people, in the Mayflower's announcement video, they hinted at basically starting in 2014, we're turning our focus back to Thanksgiving. They were very blatant about it. I'm not gonna speculate, but that's all I'm going to say.
  10. In terms of guest satisfaction, we lead the chain.
  11. I'm really sorry to hear about your experience today. As someone who absolutely loves his job at the park, I do take things like this extremely personally. I know that there is nothing we can do to fix what happened today, but if you go online and contact Guest Relations through an online comment, we would really appreciate it. Thank you for your past patronage, and I hope you can come back in the future, giving us another chance. I sent you a private message if you could care to answer it. -Josh
  12. Hello everyone! With any questions that have to do with tickets, passes, memberships, etc please call our Guest Information Service to be sure to receive completely accurate information. Everything is case by case, and I do not want employees trying to have to answer questions especially about ticketing here anymore to ensure right information. Of course, you can always call with other questions as well. Thanks! 636-938-5300
  13. From what I have been told about the membership program you should be able to use it without a problem at any Six Flags park As long as you have a card that is valid for the 2014 Season, you should be good, but even though I am in Guest Relations, I cannot be 100% sure without more information.
  14. You will not get a new pass. You will use your existing pass like before where a team member will check the picture and scan you in.
  15. Also, I would highly suggest following @SplashinDan on Twitter. He's already posted some great pictures and info about the park and Rampage. Robb, because you're the TPR twitter guy, I don't know if you could maybe retweet him for visibility. (I don't want to tell you how to do your job, but in case you didn't know, I figured it couldn't hurt suggesting.) His goofy selfies are quite entertaining.
  16. They have said multiple times that that is not the case. They know how to grow their parks slow but steady, making them successful. Dan was quoted in an interview a couple years ago saying that when they bought a steel coaster, it would be in at least the $20 million range, which is why they were taking their time to get there.
  17. Visionland, as originally built, had lofty attendance goals and no practical way to meet them. It was probably a money grab for politicians in the area, a thought backed up by the head of the project now being in prison. Following management groups are, by and large, no longer in the industry, showing their skill. There's a million people in the immediate metro area and a lot of underserved communities within reasonable distance. For the Koch's, there's usable infrastructure there and exponentially more people within a 50 mile radius. They have a pretty good formula to make it work. When you put it like that, you would think that a reputable park operator would have snatched it up long before the Koch's came in. So I'm still not totally sold. Especially when you consider the fact they essentially had to settle for this park after Kentucky Kingdom didn't work out... Who said that they had to settle for this park after KK didn't work out? Dan has always wanted to buy multiple parks.
  18. It's his personal Facebook account, so I don't know if he'd like that, and I don't know how to do it on my phone. "We gotta fix Rampage! Where is my tool belt? I've been walking the track." Is what the comment included.
  19. Dan always wanted to buy more parks and attractions to make a Herschend like company. The current HW management want to stay with HW only.
  20. ^Dan posted on Facebook about getting Rampage reopened.
  21. ^It is accurate. It's been in the works for a while, but was just publicly announced. Lori and Matt will keep up the great work with bettering HW, and now Dan will take the great HW hospitality to a separate venture. It's as close to a win-win ending possible. I'm excited! (Dan is also planning on reopening Rampage.) This is something to be happy about.
  22. Welcome! I really enjoy talking to people who have experience at the park in its early years, and definitely feel free to share any kind of pictures you might have. I got to know a man last year who was a foreman for the construction of Thunder River and the Skyway-type attraction. He had so many cool stories.
  23. After seeing the computer generated images from the manufacturer (Mack), I would definitely suggest bringing your surf board when the ride opens.
  24. I saw that tweet, but it just linked me to Google Maps, which still had the old image. I wonder why Maps and Earth have different pictures. One interesting thing to note is that you can clearly see the Bamboo Chute and AmaZOOM where they have been relocated next door at Lake Rudolph.
  25. Personally, one of the things that I'm most excited about is how the new ride and the surrounding area's theme will look. I think that the "warf" theme of the ride/area will look great! It's sure to brighten up that section of the park.
