  1. Somehow, Hades 360 ranks #14 in the Golden Ticket Awards. The results this year are strange.
  2. Outlaw Run deserved to be much higher on the wood coaster rankings. I haven't been on any of the top 3 coasters, but Outlaw Run totally beats out Voyage. Either way, congrats to SDC for that award. The ride is really amazing.
  3. That dragon was developed by WDI as a stand alone project, with no show or attraction intent. They used it at the New Fantasyland opening because it fit (kinda) with the theme (barely). The main problem is the weather in Florida is crazy sometimes and it would ground the aircraft. If the dragon was in a show, It'd probably be a pretty large focus considering how cool it is. Now take the weather into account and the dragon would be grounded A LOT, meaning an altered show or no show. Its also very loud, which is why it flew so high above New Fantasyland. And finally, it is an aircraft that requires a runway. There is just so much against it, we'll probably only see it for special events. Back to actual stuff happening in Animal Kingdom: The new theater being built for the relocated Festival of the Lion King looks pretty substantial compared to the old one. This is only coming for the pics I've seen from different sites around the net, but it seems like its getting a better theater then the one its leaving! Plus I'm pretty sure they will only fly it for the public during nighttime events. The large kite above the dragon would be very visible in the daytime.
  4. Yes I know that, I was stating that I in particular dont care for them lol, but yes SFStL water park is a laughing joke compared to what else is around the area. But they are money makers as they draw in local crowds and spend money just to splash in some water. Hurricane Harbor is nowhere near a "laughing joke". It is by far the best water park in St. Louis and anywhere around the area. Sure, Splashin' Safari is better, but if someone in St. Louis wanted to go to a waterpark, Hurricane Harbor is very nice. It has a nice selection of rides and nice themeing, the only thing I think the waterpark should get is a water coaster.
  5. Thunderation at Silver Dollar City, the best Arrow mine train
  6. Already been to Holiday World and am hopefully going there for Holliwood Nights in May. Kings Island may be a separate trip as well. SFGAD looks good.
  7. My family is possibly flying out to NYC, staying for 3-4 days, then renting a car to drive back to STL. What are some good amusement parks on the way back? I see Kings Island, Hersheypark, and SFGAD. Are there better parks than those three that aren't too far out of the way? We only have 2-3 days to visit parks.
  8. Definitely plan on taking a TPR tour in the near future, but not in 2014. My family already has plans to fly out to New York then rent a car and stop at theme parks on they way back. Plus, I'm the only one in my family who is an "enthusiast". My sister and dad will ride coasters and enjoy them, but wouldn't travel the world to ride them like I would. Hopefully I can convince my dad to take me on one of the tours soon though.
  9. This weekend was my first uncomfortable ride on Outlaw Run. My thighs kept being slammed into the restraints, and I can't tell if th restraint was too tight or too loose. My previous rides were before these "changes". I think I just had one bad ride, and I'll make up my mind after I ride again.
  10. Since his total coaster count is now at 106, I'm guessing he has already been to CP. What was your 100th credit?
  11. There is no doubt that Tsunami Soaker will be in Hannibarrels spot. On Facebook they posted a pic of the barrels and said they had to do with the 2014 attraction. And they are in the Gateway to the West area.
  12. Bonzai Pipeline slides scare the crap out of me. I really dislike them. I'm not claustrophobic, but I felt I was trapped and there was too much water rushing straight into my face the entire ride. They are the most extreme water park rides you can get. I believe "eXtreme" is a good term to describe the ride.
  13. One will go straight down, one will coil. It is like they cut SFGAm's 2011 slide complex in half.
  14. OMG Boss with an inversion right before the drop would be freaking awesome. That HAS to happen if it ever gets the Iron Horse treatment.
  15. I would love to see St. Patrick's Day or Mardi Gras areas added soon. But I'd rather see another ride in the Thanksgiving area before another new area. That area has way less rides than Halloween and 4th of July and needs another family thrill ride. Maybe a water ride. But then eventually they would add it to the water park and make the area even smaller. Maybe a Disk'O. I love those rides. And it would be easy to theme to the Mayflower.
  16. There is no way in heck that would happen. It costs a lot to refurbish a ride, and about twice that when you have to relocate. You could build the ride up from scratch for probably way less. No way that ride is going to ever operate again. I would love a boardwalk/carnival area with lots of string lights and such. It could stretch from Colossus, underneath the train station, and up to Soundstage #2. Flying Eagles, Aqua Twist, a junior coaster, and a tilt a whirl would be nice additions for this area. I'm not saying all four will be added in one year, but maybe over the course of two years? Colossus would look awesome lit up along with this area. It could have a nighttime spectacular like Ignite on the Palace Porch. It would really open up that dead area.
  17. There is a sign near the backlot arcade that says "Zombie Paintball Apocalypse". I do not think this is a hayride. It seems to be a Halloween-themed paintball course. I don't think a hayride is coming this year. Maybe the area will be used for a future construction project?
  18. You could go wrong with Gravity Group. They have nice designs and made my second favorite coaster (The Voyage), but a lot of their rides are very rough. Not saying that they couldn't make a smooth coaster, but I don't think Six Flags would want to have to refurbish this ride every off-season just to keep it somewhat smooth. I have no problem with Intamin coming in, but I bet Rocky Mountain is doing it.
  19. My family is considering buying an ACE trial membership just to get in to Daredevil Daze. How big are the crowds at the event? Is it worth the money?
  20. I noticed both Dragon Challenge coasters are ranked very high in coaster polls. When I was at IoA in late July I got to ride both sides for the very first time. While the ride was nowhere near bad, I was let down. I feel that Batman is a better ride by far. That being said, both sides are better than Wildfire or Kraken. Is it ranked highly because most voters rode it when the sides were dueling?
  21. This is our third trip this year. Trailblazer sounds useful. Is there a season pass discount?
  22. How long are the waits Labor Day weekend?
  23. Outlaw Run is an amazing coaster. It beats every coaster I've ridden by a long shot. It is intense, insane, airtime-filled, and smooth. Everything I want in a wooden coaster. The inversions are also amazing. If RMC is doing this coaster, I have no doubt this ride will be just as good, maybe even better. RMC just keeps increasing the level of awesomeness in their coasters. If they keep it up, I have no doubt they will be the best manufacturer in the industry.
