I rode the third row on the 1st car and regardless rather it was a wheel seat or not, me and the other riders felt it was painful. -

Just returned from a trip to the park. The lines where super long in all rides except Judge Roy. Which now is the new Flashback in ride worthy status. It was completely unbearable, from the first drop on I couldn't wait for it to be over. I know it is the last real woodie left but I its gotten to a point where its ruffness makes its no longer a good starter coaster for kids or anyone for that matter. Mr Freeze was closed which really sucked because of Shockwave and NTAG already being closed. Which pretty much left Titan and Batman as the only big coasters to ride. Other than those let downs, the park was clean and staff was cool. -

SFOT is definetly in need of a new coaster. With two coasters down the park is kind if a snooze fest. I think Titan is fun and BTR and Skyscreamer are all fun but going back in forth between those rides, really makes you miss NTAG and Shockwave. -

Slow? Not calling you out or anything, But when I arrived around 4 I almost couldn't find a parking spot because it was SO BUSY. Even the news reported last night that "due to the fatal accident Friday it didn't stop THOUSANDS of people from visiting today." To give you and idea of how busy it was, I had to park in the very back right by Rangers Ballpark. I wnt for a late trip to the park I walked through the entry at 8:40 at that time the rangers game was still going on but there was not as many cars in the lot. -

^NO Went to the park yesterday. As expected the attendance was extremely slow even more so for a Saturday. All lines were especially short considering the park has two of its best coasters closed. -

We were actually just discussing how similar this seems to the Perilous Plunge accident. If you remember, they had to re-design the restraints on that ride, and unfortunately, what the end resulted ended up being very uncomfortable and greatly impacted the capacity of the ride. Hopefully the same doesn't happen for Texas Giant. Also, I have now heard conflicting reports of Iron Rattler being open. Can anyone confirm if the ride is open or closed? I'm hearing that all Fiesta Texas rides are open. If Iron Rattler is indeed operating, that could mean no modification or uncomfortable restrains will be added. If the restraints are changed, (I hope not), hopefully they would op for the same traditional lap bars as Titans. If the victims size or shape is determined to be a factor in the incident. As uncomfortable as it may make riders. I think some form of measuring body portions may be the only answer. Unfortuntely that could leave riders who are top heavy feeling descriminated against. Does anyone know if Outlaw is operating? -

Wow, and I was just about to leave for a late night trip to the park. Terribly sad. I see changes coming to NTAG -
JRS just lacks speed, forces, and doesn't offer any airtime. Its too controlled, for my taste, I think that's what rules it out for me. I personally would love to see it replaced with another out and back woodie, that has a little more height and speed to it. I can only dream.

Sad to here you found Batman a bit rough. I ride Batman every week and have yet to find a rough spot on the coaster. I usually ride in the back the most of the time but it, Titan and of coarse NTAG are all smooth as glass. Mr Freeze can be a bit rough in the middle and I definetly agree that the Judge has run its coarse. It looks great cause of its location and it has old charm to it, but the ride isn't any good no matter how much track is replaced and is always a walk on. I can't see it being around for another decade. But I don't see it being removed until the park adds an attraction or two in the area behind batman and fill Flashbacks spot first.

Matches this piece of B&M track...thoughts? Is that supposed to be the green track spotted by itself? -

Totally agree with you Robb. Some enthusiast have to accept that every park is just not gonna be Cedar Point or whatever park that's considered top notch and that's okay. Besides things could always be worse. Ive seen way worse. -

^ That boycott plan of yours could possibly just make things worse. No attendance means no currency for the park. If the park is not making the numbers, therefore the park can't afford the a$10,000000 attraction (at least in SF corporate eyes). But it might work for your idea for Six Flags to potentially list the park. -

Went to the park yesterday, attendance was nice a little busy for a Tuesday. It seems like SFOT is going to have a good year with attendance. Lines averaged 45 mins yesterday. NTAG was operating with blue and red train yesterday. -

I hope the park will keep Shockwave around for as long as possible. Its a superb ride, super smooth, and still holds the record for the most positive G's on a coaster. My fear is the park revomiving Shockwave in the near future because of the cost and it seems evey year Shockwave is down for some major issue. Thankfully SFOT values theres older coasters. -

^Went to the park today was packed. Batman was backed nearly to the start of the queue One thing that SFoT has more than any Six Flags park, real customer service. Just had to give recognition for that. Mr Freeze A/C is fixed. -

I have no words for that. Did not think it was possible for a 25 year old Boomerang to get so much shine. I thought the St Louis arch thing was just too much. I don't think even back in 87 when it originally opened, it never received so much press. Roller coasters are officially dead. -

Nice! Do you coaster addicts normally head to the park alone? Feels strange, but oh so fun!! LOL Funny you asked cause usually I don't head to the park alone however, I have no problem going to an amusement park alone. I work in office that is less than a mile away from SFoT and well my apt when you look out my bedroom window you see Titan, Shockwave, and Superman which is too much temptation for a enthusiast. It was never premeditated for me to live and work so close to the park but It just happen to be where I ended up. Living so close to the park in a tourist spot feels like the park really is your backyard, so its super convienant when you have a season pass to just walk or drive to the park. So going along isn't an issue. But on busy days its not cool, especially waiting in line. So the best way to answer that is yes on weekdays and slow days. No on Saturdays on busy days. In fact thinking right now since Im off so I want to go hop on a ride. -

Went to the park today and finally got to ride Sky Screamers. Those winds are terrifying! The thoughts that ran through my head while you up there. Once you get past the fear of the winds its actually rather relaxing. The park had a nice crowd for a Monday, but eh lines where fair. NTAG line was approx 20-30 mins at most. Titan was practiacally walk on. SkyScreamer was approx 40 mins. The weather was nice and the park looked great as usual and the staff was did great all around. -

The GP don't look at Apocalypse or Boomerang as old mediocre coasters, because in there eyes there new. if anything those rides are good return investments because it the ride are essentially paid for. -

Same reason they didn't buy new trains when they moved Iron Wolf to Six Flags America... Maybe they next year new trains will comes as SFNE did with Goliath. Maybe they The park is seeing how Goliath trains work out first. SFNE didn't plan on waiting until the 2nd year for the new train...Goliath was intended to open with the new train but it got delayed so they ran the old train for the 1st season...What does the new trains on Goliath have to do with Boomerang's train anyways? One's inverted and the other one isn't...not the same thing. What does goliath being invented have to do with anything. I'm simply talking about older coasters getting a new trains from other manufacturers and since SF seems to have a good relationship with Pr emier lately maybe it could be option, or maybe not.
