Just got mine as well. Going to listen to it soon!

Thanks for all the replies! I think we may just do a quick credit whore run through the park (Amy has never been there) at 11am for two hours, and just hit the 3 coasters and maybe one or two other rides. Thanks for the seating suggestions, I will definitely try to get those seats. I think we will just do the 50 tickets for $42.95 as there are four of us, and the 3 coasters will only require us to buy a few more tickets. Then we will head to Gilroy Gardens to hit those two credits and anything else we can get by 5pm when it closes. Luckily, we have cedar fair platinum passes so we don't have to pay to enter. I really hope to do a full trip to Santa Cruz again later on though. It's been a while since I've really been there.

I'm heading to SCBB for just a few hours on Wednesday. I looked back through the thread and saw that we should call the morning of to see what rides are open and at what times. My questions for the locals are, during the week are all credits generally open with the park (the calendar says the rides open at 11am), and is it possible to get all the credits done in about 2 hours? Thanks in advance!

Incredible update! I really really miss that place and hope I can get out there soon. Also, the photo captions were awesome! The captions are comedy gold Glad you all had an incredible time! -
That's too bad. Well, the ride ops may not be to blame. He may have had two prosthetics. The ride ops may have not been aware that they were fake if he was wearing pants. He may have had a limp, but you can't really guess if they are fake or not. But until more details are released we really have no clue if they knew and let him on. Best to wait and see.

Theme Park Review in JAPAN! 2011

What an incredible update! Blue Fall is definitely my favorite drop tower. It really is amazing. That is really cool that Cosmoworld had that sign and stuff for you guys. Says a lot about the park. I will definitely be taking a trip out there the next time i'm in Japan. I also couldn't stop laughing at the wild mouse with Derek. That was amazing! Amy would have loved that ride! Great update! Thanks for all of your hard work! -
Legoland Florida Discussion Thread

Interesting article. It will be very interesting to see how everything works out. However, I don't think Professor Bonn using Chik-fil-A is a good comparison at all. There are way too many differences to be able to compare them. -

I absolutely love, and absolutely hate this thread! The food looks amazing, especially when I'm stuck at work eating a protein bar -
I was like, Woah, that freaky dude looks familiar....Hey it is Antonio! Awesome job! I'm slowly trying to learn the piano since I inherited a baby grand piano from my mom.

Theme Park Review in JAPAN! 2011

Absolutely amazing stuff! I'm glad they have all that padding on White Canyon, it needed it! I really wish the Japanese style Sega Joypolis' came to the US. Our versions are nothing close to what they have! Can't wait for more! -
Six Flags raises parking fees.
jray21 replied to thrillrider's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
It is an industry thing. If SFMM was to lower their parking fees, their ticket prices would go up, and then everyone would be complaining about how high their ticket price is compared to the other places in town. SFMM is still an incredible deal for what you get. Here in Reno, to go skiing at a decent place is anywhere from $68-88, and that is only for about 7-7.5 hours! If I go to SFMM tomorrow, I can get 10 1/2 hours for only $55 ($35 online ticket price, $20 parking) For 4 adults, skiing would cost around $280 (low end $70 ticket), while for $20 more I could get parking for one day and Season Passes for all the adults! I could understand if no other amusement park charges for parking, but a vast majority do, especially in the Southern California area. -

I would love to have a Disney themed backyard (but not all character psycho stuff)! -

Awesome report! Loved the pictures Our local fairs are terrible, but we usually head out to the Alameda County Fair and California State Fair every year. The Alameda one is actually pretty good! -
^I love it when I can't read the menus. It's like playing Food Keno! Just start pointing at things and hope a few of them are good ones!

Six Flags raises parking fees.
jray21 replied to thrillrider's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
It is all just a mental game. When I was in charge of setting front gate and parking prices for our water park it was a balancing act. Let's say we wanted to bring in $50 per person. We will make up that each car has 2 people in it. This would be the formula: Parking Tickets $0 $50 $10 $45 $20 $40 $30 $35 In the end we will get the money, it's just a balancing act for the publics 'mind.' Is the public swayed more by ticket price, or parking price? I know that almost all of my non-TPR friends would never figure in the cost of parking, and only look at the ticket price online. So Six Flags raises parking, but has a lower overall ticket price compared to the other parks in the area. If people cared more about parking costs, than you would just see the opposite. Parking would have a ton of discounts/coupons, and ticket prices would go up a lot higher and a lot quicker. Also, there are many options/alternatives. It's not like SFMM is a secluded island and is only accessible by ferry. You can walk, carpool, take a hotel shuttle, buy a parking season pass, etc. I'm heading down there in a few weeks and we have two cars so I will make two trips to drop people off and then park so I don't have to pay for two cars. My 2 cents -
Food and Fatties of Middle America!
jray21 replied to jray21's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^^^I thought you'd like this report! Unfortunately, the next day was Six Flags Great America and surprisingly there weren't too many fatties so it will be a more 'normal' report again. However, the Wisconsin Dells is after that and it was a winner! ^^The sad part was that we were watching him for at least 15 minutes! He was kind of in a hidden area, and the way he was lying did not look like a comfortable resting position. But yeah, had to take a picture first just in case Cornball and LoCoSuMo were both very fun rides. LoCoSuMo was definitely a WTF kind of ride, like one you'd find in Japan! -
That's amazing! Definitely want it in my house!

I'm hoping the same thing. It does have a lot of potential with the mix of new and old rides, and all of the food choices.
