  1. Thank you all for your help! It's greatly appreciated!
  2. Hey guys, I'll be attending SFMM for my second time (first visit in 2010) tomorrow. My home park is SFGAdv, and I know in the morning there is a mad rush to Kingda Ka and Zumanjaro. My last visit to SFMM I was only able to get on 8 coasters. This time, I will have the regular flash pass, and I was wondering if there were any tips you all had to avoid the crowd flow (what rides are mobbed in the morning/afternoon/all-day. Also, is there a specific direction the crowd moves in the park, (i.e. Left side-to-right side, front-to-back)?. Amy help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks for all your help!
  3. Aside from Toro, I have noticed that employees this year are pretty friendly...and faster. Could be just me, but the last few times I've visited the park, employees were more welcome to talk to guests as well as, for the most part, kept the rides running at a reasonable rate. Also, the Bizarro crew has also really turned itself around in a positive direction. I was so surprised when I went up there and they were rolling trains! Awesome work! Finally, I have noticed that a lot of the rides in the park are now implementing hashtags in their spiels. I think this is by far one of the coolest things ever and it is a great way to really involve the guests in the Great Adventure experience. My personal favorite hashtag is Bizarro's - #GetTwisted. Has anyone else noticed this? What are your thoughts?
  4. Popular Coasters that I've been on that DO NOT make the list: Intimidator 305, SkyRush, Shivering Timbers, The Voyage Honorable Mentions: Apollo's Chariot, Bizarro (SFNE) and Phoenix (Knoebels) 10. Phantom's Revenge at Kennywood 9. Boulder Dash at Lake Compounce 8. Maverick at Cedar Point 7. Millenium Force at Cedar Point 6. Intimidator at Carowinds 5. California Screamin' at Disney's California Adventure 4. Space Mountain at Disneyland California 3. Space Mountain at WDW - The Magic Kingdom 2. El Toro at Six Flags Great Adventure 1. Nitro at Six Flags Great Adventure
  5. Leap-The-Dips at Lakemont Park
  6. They are temporarily removing sections of the Saw Mill Log Flume to help move construction vehicles around for the construction of Safari: Off Road Adventures. The Log Flume will return next season.
  7. Yes, that is the Employee Parking Lot and that is how you enter it.
  8. Six Flags Great Adventure usually allows re-rides.
  9. What about restraints like Pilgrim's Plunge at Holiday World? (This picture doesn't really do them justice)
  10. Shuttle: Superman: The Escape (Before SEFK) Steel: Kingda Ka Wood: El Toro
  11. I always thought that this picture of Batman: The Ride at SFGAdv was sexy: Or this photo of Nitro:
  12. A gold would be more than fine. Heck, even a regular flash pass will do the job!
  13. Definitely go for the Flash Pass, because the crowds for FF will be there, and they will be heavy. The past weekend, there were heavy crowds due to the fact that they thought FF started this past weekend (Stupid GP). As for a plan, usually the lines in the morning are for Green Lantern and Kingda Ka. On occasion, if you head to El Toro first, you can ride it around four times before the crowds show up. El Toro's line has been moving relatively quickly nowadays, so if you are stuck waiting, it shouldn't be too bad (trust me, it's worth the wait! ). Nitro always has a fast moving line. If three trains are running and the line is to the entrance sign, the wait is just spilled into the switchbacks, the line is about 30 minutes (Disregard the signs saying how long the line is). Superman, Green Lantern, and SkyScreamer are killer though, because both rack up quite the line, and load really slow. That's where your flash pass comes in! As for rides, I would definitely check out the Log Flume because it is one of the better ones out there. Houdini's Great Escape is a fun little ride as well, and it's one of two in the US. Also, a little trivia, our carousel is the only one in the US that rotates clockwise! Hopefully you enjoy your day!
  14. Does anyone know why SFGAdv is the only park in the chain not offering the "Gold Pass"?
  15. I've recently hit my 200th coaster...I'm sitting at 204 currently. 1st - Grover's Vapor Trail at Sesame Place 100th - Great White at Morey's Piers 150th - Pandemonium at Six Flags New England 200th - The Voyage at Holiday World & Splashin' Safari
  16. Yesterday I took a trip to the park for a few hours in the evening, and was happily surprised by the progress of Fender Benders. I snapped a few shots so check 'em out! Concrete Base. It's just a tad elevated from the existing concrete. CARS ARE ON SITE! Plastic protection from the elements. Bertazzon cleverly labeled their cars. The cars fit the retro theme of the area. Framework for the shelter. There is also a large crane on the site. That is all of my pictures. Thanks for reading!
