  1. ^ I've heard the new one in China is way more reliable then the 4 prototypes that Six Flags purchased, so a GIB isn't out of the question.
  2. ^^ It can't be a GIB because Six Flags sold 3 of the 4 they owned (Deja vu SFOG to Brazil, Deja vu SFGA to Silverwood, and Stunt Fall at Parque Warner Madrid was sold with the park) and Deja vu SFMM as you mentioned already got moved and I don't think they are going to remove that anytime soon.
  3. ^ I think as long as you have a child that isn't tall enough to ride certain rides they will let you use parent swap.
  4. ^^ Well, they don't buy terrible coasters per say, but they do buy maintenance nightmares. ^ I also don't care about the color but I would love to see it brown so Six Flags can very easily trick the jeep into thinking it is a wooden coaster.
  5. ^ Who knows, now with Matt's demolition fever.
  6. ^ I think they are but they are going to remodel them.
  7. I don't think theses things swing at all judging by videos of Steel Lasso at Frontier City and Kvasten at Gröna Lund or they swing a little bit but it is not enough to notice. And Vampire at Chessington is not a Vekoma, it's an Arrow that uses trains built by Vekoma. However, Vekoma did make a similar design in the 1980s http://www.rcdb.com/r.htm?ot=2&mo=8260.
  8. ^^ They can relocate wooden coasters (The Phoenix at Knoebels that was The Rocket at Playland Park in Texas is a good example) but it is more expensive to do so then relocating a steel coaster. The reason it wouldn't be praticle with the Rattler is the fact that it was built to use the terrain at SFFT and no other park that I know of has cliffs that are as high as SFFTs and the fact that is one of the worlds worst coasters. Could a park buy the Rattler, sure, but it would require a lot, if not all the supports to be reworked to make it fit in another location. The point is that it wouldn't be praticle to buy the Rattler because it sucks and the amount of money it would take to make it work in another location is too much for one park to spend without bankrupting themselves.
  9. ^ Yeah, I don't even know how that conversation started.
  10. No it isn't, that is all just employee rumors. The track is being carefully removed so that the park can reuse the footers for the redo of the Rattler. Anyways I hope to see that helix become home to several of those high banked turns on NTAG one after another.
  11. ^ That and last year all the parks announced their new attractions on the same date with the exception of the international parks (La Ronde and SFM).
  12. Yup. Here's a link to pictures showing the track at Beto Carrero World in Brazil: http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=62982&start=10
  13. ^ It could still be, we are just speculating.
  14. 2012 park vist list: Been too: Six Flags Great Adventure Six Flags New England La Ronde The Great Escape Knoebels Going too: Knoebels (again) Hershey Park (Skyrush baby! ) The Great Escape (again) Six Flags Great Adventure (again) Six Flags New England (again)
  15. No! And you can't make me! LOL Yes it'll be a Boomerang with a new Vekoma train. Just my thoughts. I don't think it is going to get new Vekoma trains because Six Flags doesnt like doing bussiness with them after the GIB fiasco. If it does get new trains (it most likely will) Six Flags will get them from Premier or KumbaK.
  16. ^ Rocky Mountain said in a press release that they have one steel track make over project (Rattler) for Six Flags Festia Texas and oringinal Topper Track woodie (Outlaw Run at SDC).
  17. ^ That's what I mean by getting another company to make the parts. The problem with that is that there isn't as big of a demand for them so Vekoma or S&S dosent keep spare parts lying around the factory.
  18. ^ aww it almost looks like Seaworld in that comercial but, it's not.
  19. Nope that is already in China: http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=62098&hilit=Mysterious+green+B%26amp%3BM+wing+rider&start=220
  20. ^^ Sadly will most likely never happen due to the NIMY neighbors that live around the lake.
  21. I think a good dive coaster for Knotts Berry Farm would be something along the lines of Krake at Heide Park.
  22. There is already another thread: http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=490
  23. ^^ Copy right? What is copy right? In all seriousness, there is no such thing as copy right laws in China. But dear god that SLC looks PAINFUL!
  24. Because Arrow went out of bussiness, parts are harder to come by, so the park has to get them customly made by another company which is expensive or use parts from a train that is never used or from a defunct ride that was the same ride type. So once the two Shockwave trains were no longer useable as donators, the park didnt want to pay another company to make the parts and just cut their losses and removed the unpopular ride.
