The last 2 major Intamin rides have had square supports. Although Skyrush has a cylinder footer, I-305 has square ones i believe. So dont throw Intamin out just yet even though its looking like B&M -

...Big fan of Fahrenheit too. I think the trio of Intamins at Hershey definitely rival the big three at Cedar Point. I'd say Skyrush beats Millennium, Maverick beats Fahrenheit, and Dragster beats or is almost equal to Storm Runner(Dragster launch and views/height is incredible but then SR has the inversions). Having just been to CP and being at HP every week or two Hershey is getting there with their coasters! Now we need a Giga! Or just a better wooden one than Wildcat. -

I love these reports and reporters saying "These rides can be fun, but dangerous" or "Just how safe are these rides?" Honestly, everyday a couple hundred people get hurt or die in car accidents, 1, ONE death this year on a coaster and everyone goes nuts. -

That's simply not true. The lap bars have to be down to a certain position before the train can be dispatched. I saw a woman not be able to ride because she couldn't get her lap bar down far enough, if it could be locked at any position like you claim, then that wouldn't have happened. There are also the lights on the train that only light up when the restraints are down far enough. They can not just run the ride with lap bars in any position. Well yes i know that if its not at a certain level it usually doesnt go, and for the ride the bars wont be up in the air obviously, i was just stating the bars can lock at any position. Once they get locked with the hydraulic systems you can push them down further but not upwards. So if the bar was low enough for dispatch the only way out was to slip out -

Its a hydraulic restraint, it locks at any position once the operator does the "lap bars locked" So if it was at 90,10,50 degrees, the bar would lock for the ride. I thibk its a case of her just slipping out after watching the Superman video. -

I think Storm Runner is a fantastic ride. Good acceleration and unique elements. Sure it could be longer but i think it is fine with what we got! Looper still closed -

Oh yeah slap a seat belt on it and open it back up. I know it takes a bit longer to load and check but i think adding seatbelts to nearly every coaster that would need one or a connector to the harness/bar would be a fine modification to help this NEVER happen again And still i cant see how this would have happened, still. I cant see how it would open, or slip but... Investigators will investigate -

Okay, i notice it having a lot of down time this year. Lets see if it opens today! And yeah give Skyrush time. You can already see how quickly its grown into the creek already so it shouldnt be long untill the trees in the queue get some what larger -

Do you guys think SDL was closed today because of NTAG accident? Or because of a mechanical problem? With the concert tonight (i think) you would figure Hershey would have all the rides up and running for largest crowds -

Hey i just realized something, SooperDooperLooper was closed all day today and i remember it being closed yesterday too by looking at the app. Could possibly be because of the accident? But it has had some problems this year anyways so its tough to call. -

ASTM standards dictate there has to be some sort of redundant mechanism, so there had to have been something. It uses two independent hydraulic cylinders. Yes thats it, the cylinders! So it will be interesting to see the investigation results cause for some odd reason its not adding up to me, but then again im not an investigator.
