Six Flags St. Louis (SFStL) Discussion Thread

We have the old train, and it will most likely stay that way. Especially with all of the junk/parts trains we have laying around for that particular train design. Also, as much as a lot of us would love for the boss to get the iron horse makeover next year, I don't think it's safe to assume it's going to happen, for sure. It's still just a rumor and speculation based on minimal information, at this point. -

Yeah, I remember reading that article. Only time will tell. The Boss almost always goes through some retracking, in the off season. It's interesting to me that this usual TLC didn't take place last winter. It really wouldn't surprise me if next year is the year for the transformation. I'm starting to think it's only a matter of time. If so, I hope they throw in some kind of a new trick, aside from a barrel roll. -

The iron horse treatment is about the best chance of getting any new major improvement, anytime soon. However, I could also realistically see a X-Flight clone at our park, within the next couple years. Possibly in place of Ninja. There were rumors that X-Flight is yet to be the new Batman clone. -

Instead of that, how about we enjoy the park with what it offers, and not complain about what it could be or what it "should" have. Yes. Trick yourself into being happy about paying too much money to ride sub par rides. I'll continue to spend my money on things that actually make me happy. hmmmmm... upgraded down pipe for my WRX... -

Consistency is the key. They just aren't used to it, yet. -

How many kiddie coasters do you need??? SFStl has a ton of rides for children, let alone an entire dedicated area of the park for them. I didn't even include the water park. The park has 2 children's coasters and two, what I consider, stepping stone roller coaster. -Mine Train (children) -Pandemonium (children) -Screaming Eagle -American Thunder Let's all wait another ten years for a decent steel roller coaster (because boomerang doesn't count) so we can get six more children's coasters. Holiday World only has one very mediocre children's coaster, and they seem to be doing just fine at packing in the families. -

No one (who matters) goes to a park to ride a ferris wheel, unless you have kids. Also, double wheels are outdated maintenance nightmares. Rides like 'sky screamer' are the parachute drops of 2013. Wasn't it SFGAdv that recently replaced their parachute drop with 'Sky Screamer' ? Our park would really benefit with the addition of a double or triple mule-go-round. -

Don't worry too much about the terrible color choice. Within a few months, six flags will put vinyl hair gell adds covering most of the color, anyway. -

Wow... there are a few ideas I've never heard... The boomerang is the most steel this park will see for a long time. -

Giant Swings are great. Most of the top spins I have seen have either been down for repair of they have had short lines. I don't think they are very popular. You might be the most consistently negative person I've seen on this board - does it not get tiring having to swing in and post the same negative crap, constantly? No. -

It's sad that a remodeling of Scooby spikes my interest more than the boomerang. -

Easier, but not cost effective. If we didn't get a new train at this point, we'll never get one in the future. There would be no reason for it. No marketability. -

You guys are right. I didn't think about the Hannibarrels area. That truely is the worst area of the park.
