  1. They don't close the park and charge you to reenter like Knott's. So you tickets for magic mountain will get you into the park the whole day. A maze pass is a wrist band that you can buy to get into mazes. They sell them at the park. When I went it was $13. $10 for season pass holders. EDIT... I misread his post.
  2. ^ On a positive note. The coaster guy has his latest up date on the park. http://www.thecoasterguy.com/index.php/2012/10/10/ride-profile-jet-stream/
  3. I'm not complaining, there are plenty of things I like about where I live that make up for the fact that I don't live next door to Cedar Point. I love that it's always a big adventure to go to a theme park, means I don't take it for granted when I do get to visit one. I just don't get the "it sucks that we're getting this new coaster" attitude. It's a new ride! Nowhere else in the world will have this! Surely that's something to be excited about, right? Agreed. Not everyone has it as good as we do in Southern California. I wouldn't move to another state just for roller coasters. There are other great things to do here that are not roller coaster related. I love the Mountains and the beaches and many other forms of entertainment that are not roller coasters.
  4. Not to plug another park in this thread but if people are going to travel out here. They can also visit Knott's berry farm for coasters and flat rides.
  5. Do I wish we had all this great rides everyone is talking about at other parks..Yes. Do I complain about what we have..No.
  6. Be careful what you say on this. Screamscape may report this as a valid rumor.
  7. I'm not complaining. I'm happy with what we have. If people say the grass is greener at ALL OTHER PARKS IN THE WORLD... Oh well.
  8. Doubt it's either plausible or possible, but here's a crazy idea: what if SFMM used Scream's trains on Riddler's and removed Scream? I love scream. it's a great ride even thought it's themed after a parking lot. When the sun is setting you get a great view of the sunset on the mountains.
  9. I have to agree that riddler suffers from being a stand up. It's a ride I wouldn't wait in line too long for.
  10. I believe they want to put a new theme type area in that space also.
  11. Yes Robb. When I took the time to look closely at it a realized I was mistaken.
  12. Very true. As long as it doesn't pull the long G-forces to gray people out they wouldn't.
  13. Although projeckt helix looks incredible. It seems to have a major helix. Goliath already has a major helix that a lot of people gray out on and some people black out. Magic Mountain likes to open rides that break records. True it's a gimmick to break a record but this is magic Mountain. Who knows maybe someday they'll build the worlds tallest mouse coaster, just to break a record.
  14. ^ Too be honest I think people seriously over reacted to an innocent post. You'll think people with a high post count would be nicer and more forgiven.
  15. Great report. I live near L.A. California but I may visit up there someday.
  16. I'm planning on going to Knott's Thursday or Friday. I have a season pass. Does anyone know what the price is for a season pass holder. Their web site is not very good at showing a season pass holder price at the gate.
  17. I talked with a crossing guard about it last Friday and he said he didn't know. I've never heard anything more about it. If it's not in the daily news it falls out of sight. If Anyone finds out anything please post about it.
  18. That's the benefit I see also. I'm not looking forward to leaving the park at Knott's just to have to pay to reenter.
  19. I am not a moderator or anything, but me thinks this would be a bad idea, not to mention is not allowed according to the Terms of Service contract that you agreed to. You read that before you signed it, right? Not trying to be a Dick or anything. But without rereading the whole agreement...can you just quote what it says for the benefit of everyone. Thanks. EDIT.... Never mind I found the terms "15. Obey Park Rules - If you're going to make a post bragging about breaking park rules, which includes but it not limited to: sneaking cameras on rides, line jumping, standing up on coasters, going into "backstage" areas unauthorized or any other park rule, you're account will be deleted and your IP address banned. " Please disregard this post.
  20. I believe that's the troll from when the park first opened in the 70's. Save that.
  21. I went on Friday when it opened. I've never been before. They didn't give out a map to find these mazes. I had to just get lucky and find a couple. Does anyone have a map to post of these location?
  22. You know what would make good business sense, replacing PP with a duck pond.
  23. ^Death By Chocolate Funnel Cake... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TWIhtwZMVT4&feature=em-uploademail-new
  24. I don't see a coaster opening in 2013. I'm hoping for something more than just throwing in a mouse just to open a coaster in 2013. That's just not good business sense.
  25. From the skytower I seen x2 running empty at about 4:00. So they were doing maintenance checking. It was almost a walk on after 5:00. I'm sure when the fright fest people came in at night it got busier. But Basically Magic Mountain was empty on a Friday with everyone in school. Ninja seemed to have a line...So I'm guessing they only had one train. But the park was a roller coaster riders dream in the day to the evening. With Fright fest at night it was just a wonderful day. I even met some people fro TPR who rode Lex Luther for the first time. They loved it.
