  1. Oh man! I've thought about this for years! I've tried to explain my idea to my mom, and she always just tells me I'm crazy. I didn't think many other people had ever though about it.
  2. ^^Oh, really? Well I guess now we know who, all I wonder now is how much it cost. Must be really expensive to rent the park for an entire day, especially on a Saturday.
  3. That's pretty crazy renting out the entire park for a whole saturday. I'd be interested to know what company did this, and how much they had to fork over. Most private events at the park are just from like 6pm-1am or something like that usually aren't they?
  4. Just got back from a day at MM. I had a really good day, finally got around to riding X2 since the redesign, very happy with it. I noticed that the bridge by Cyber Cafe has been torn out. Does anyone know if they are removing it all together, or just rebuilding it?
  5. ^ That's kind of the idea I'm going with right now too. Everyone knows SF has made mistakes, but recently they seem to have learned a thing or two from those mistakes, and have taken good measures to avoid them happening again. Jay and Tim are not idiots, they know what they're doing. I believe it'll be just fine. Innocent until proven guilty, imo.
  6. ^That would be pretty awesome, too bad it won't happen. I'm not sure it'd be possible anyway, there's a lot more involved with Tatsu's trains compared to a lot of other coasters.
  7. ^ Yeah, hopefully the conversation moves to something more constructive So who here DOES think that the theming will work? As I said, I personally am going to wait to see it before I judge it, but I think it may work fine. We'll see. At least this gives me a reason to stop lurking the boards and actually start posting again It's been a while.
  8. Stop disagreeing with me! Okay, in all seriousness, I do agree with Ryan that way too many people are WAY too quick to judge. It hasn't even been built. I'm withholding judgment until I actually see it built and have a chance to ride it. With that said, I'm looking forward to it. I enjoy GCI's and I'm really happy SFMM is getting a new woodie, we're long overdue. And I have NO problem with it not being a "West coast El Toro". That's not what MM needs right now, this looks to be a solid addition that everyone can enjoy. Step in the right direction IMHO.
  9. ^ Oh damn, I was so set on Rick Roll-ercoaster, but Chris Hansen may have to get my vote.
  10. ^ Exactly. I couldn't have said it better myself. Hit the nail on the head regarding the themed areas.
  11. ^^ Same here. Oh how I want to see it done! I may just have to bring headphones with me when I ride it
  12. Oh god! Rick Roll-ercoaster wins my vote. Contest is over as far as I'm concerned. Can't believe I didn't think of that. lol Pure genius!
  13. Thanks for the update Robb. I'm so happy construction has started I now have something to look forward to. Can't wait for more updates!
  14. ^No, I doubt it. They had their chance for a huge bonfire with Psyclone, and they didn't take it. I was quite disappointed.
  15. Kinda hard to tell from that picture, but I'd say that's a fair guess. It very well may be. Either way, I'm really excited to see things start to progress.
  16. Oh man, thanks for the pics B&M. I'm really excited now that there is finally some hard evidence. Never have I been so happy to see so many TPR members proven wrong by a single post. haha
  17. ^ I would assume they'll do that on Tatsu and X as well...but obviously I don't know for sure. ^^ Thanks for all that info! It sounds like this year will be even better than previous years. Now I really can't wait!
  18. ^ Yeah I heard about that. I'm getting sick of guests' blatant disregard of rules and just plain common sense. It almost always seems to end up with something like this happening. Then when the news story gets published, people see the headline and immediately adopt an "OH NO, THEME PARKS ARE DANGEROUS" stance on the matter without usually even reading into what happened. I'm sorry, but I cannot bring myself to feel bad for someone who is harmed because of their own stupidity and lack of respect for rules put in place to protect them from exactly this kind of thing.
  19. Alright then, anyone who doesn't like it can yell at him^ He told me to do it. If you have a weak stomach, I'd suggest you scroll past this post and not look at the picture. You've been warned. I found this on CollegeHumor and couldn't stop laughing. So disgusting.
  20. I just came across a hilarious Goliath onride photo. I couldn't stop laughing. Should I post it, or will you guys all yell at me?
  21. ^ I couldn't agree more. Everything about my visit tonight would have been great. It's just that certain guests ruined it. There seemed to be more inconsiderate people there tonight than usual. There was one particular person I noticed who decided he was going to push every trash can he passed really hard. Not only is it annoying and loud, but he knocked one into a lady walking on the other side of the trash can, and he knocked a trash can all the way over when he was at the park exit. This kind of behavior is ridiculous and uncalled for. Unfortunately security wasn't around when he did this. If they were I didn't notice. He's not the real reason my visit was bad though. Just using him as an example of the kind of guests that Magic Mountain should really try to eliminate, or at least reduce.
