Screamscape is reporting that SWSD is scrapping plans on their own Antarctica themed area mainly because of the negative response on the Orlando version, here's hoping to a launched version of Indy jones ( water style) at the popular SD park. Lets be honest the Q2 results have been lackluster from Seaworld Parks, but the SD one is flourishing this season!! I think it's about the time they really start investing in this park... Any thoughts??

They also said a little bit ago that the fresh water aquarium next door to the theater was getting torn down for a new restaurant/ eatery. Nice to see that area of the park getting a makeover, although honestly I'm not at all excited for the new show. I'd rather have seen a new 4d movie in there, oh well. On a side not would an Antarctica ride even work in San Diego considering the 30 foot height limit. The one in Orlando seems a lot taller than that???

Did a quick run through the park the other day and snapped a few pictures to share of the happenings around the park, mainly of the construction beginning for the new themed entrance. On a side note there's rumors going around that when JTA opens from its rehab, it will be an altered ride experience. If I had to guess, I'd say they're improving the story-line of the ride, which is damn near incomprehensible. Anyone know more??? These are the walls up in front of the park for the temporary entrance they're building This is where the new entrance will have the guests enter once done. It's between the Hospitality center and the current entrance Up above gives you a nice overview of whats going on not sure if this is construction for the new entrance or just landscape work In other news it looks as though they're adding a little river in Manta's queue And final pic of Manta starting to grow up a little

Honestly I don't know why everyone raves about xcelerator, but is hating on what Full throttle is going to bring. I really feel the best part of xcelerator is the first launch and then after that its ok. The drop doesn't really do much for me and the high banks are boring. I'm counting on full throttle being a good ride, considering the launch is only 12 mph less than xcelerator.

Wow this came absolutely out of nowhere!! Super pumped, but kinda bummed this isn't going to be right next door to the main park. Its nice to see that the company recognizes that SD is a huge market and has been investing a lot into the area ( manta, explorer's reef, now aquatica!!) It will be interesting to see how they transform/ exapnd the park!!!
