  1. back from a very full day. 5 rides on DC SuperVillian Swings (SO happy to have this ride back in operation. .and tho the pics I've seen of the white lighting left me a little underwhelmed? they turn blue while riding. . gives off an ominous glow. 9 rides on Joker (which, while it doesn't have any real forces from "spinning" gives some amazing pops of airtime. . and the velocity of that swing, holy hell! utterly fantastic). . . . but the star of the show? the funhouse queue. They built a freaking mini-haunt, with sliding doors opening into other rooms, and gimmicks all over the place! You go thru in groups of 5 or 6, controlled by an operator at the front of the funhouse. Bravo to SFFT. . . an incredible addition. Spent a good 4 hours after the filming wrapped enjoying the park - which ended up with walk ons for almost everything, as Joker, once opened to the general public at 3, drew the crowds & the lines). great day! (and yes, they gave us two tickets for any day to bring folks to the park, as well as a meal voucher for dinner (which I didn't end up using, as we finished early enough was able to use my dining plan ). . they provided light snacks thruout. .but nothing "meaty" - as was explained, we're going to be riding spinning things, so they wanted to cut down on any issues. Hysterically, Joker has hoses at every corner of the ride pad! LOL.. . (tho during the filming, only had ONE shut down for cleanup from a protein spill)
  2. and I just got invited to participate in the Joker: Carnival of Chaos commercial shoot happening tomorrow at SFFT. How exciting i get to be part of the commercial (and miss a Friday at work to do it) not excited about the rush hour traffic going to San Antonio. . but worth it to participate!
  3. ^ don't forget "CRAZY" I take "Suspense" as a play on "Suspended" so actually, I think of Gerstlauer Sky Roller, since there isn't one in USA. (what's in Nickelodeon Universe is a Sky Fly. . different model). but we will see. https://www.gerstlauer-rides.de/assets/Uploads/SkyRoller2.pdf
  4. ^ I would guess that's close to accurate, as Skyscreamer is 200', and Scream is 205' and they are the tallest things in the park. but there are always waiver options. . or options to do tunnels into the ground to go "taller", right?
  5. surprised it doesn't seem to have any inversions (or at least not any they are trumpeting). . but the fastest multi launch in N. America? sounds fun. edit - now that the track layout is showing above too? it certainly looks like it has multiple inversions. Weird they aren't hyping that, but wow, that looks so great.
  6. ^ it's a back seat coaster, to get the extreme ejector air. front seat has nice floater air. but you'll discover a lot of folks don't want the back. . without asking, I almost always end up in the back seat, and I LOVE it. hope it's up, and you get to ride it.
  7. they'll let you request a particular seat, but it's really up to the grouper who's working, so just ask nicely. . . but be warned, it hasnt' been operating the past 2 days. (it was down Sun & today).
  8. but we just got a giant flat, in Joker. if Jeffrey Siebert is playing "fair" (and he usually does), and they take out the theater next to Boomerang, as well as boomerang? that's a nice plot of land to put in a coaster of some sort. tho honestly? wouldn't surprise me, if they end up using that area for a new Kids section, and then the 2021 addition is something in the current kidzopolis spot.. which, could easily be made into something new for the DCU area. so really who knows? the park really does need a classic woodie, so still hoping someday to get an out & back woodie off of the boardwalk, going along the canyon wall into the parking lot. I've been wishing for a while for a new flat over where the radio station is in CrackAxle - they really need another attraction in this area, and either an outwards facing trabant, or the next gen Enterprises, would easily fit in this area, with a "wagon wheel" theme. but that's not what this area is that Jeffrey is teasing.
  9. glad you had such a great time, and looks like you had incredible weather for it. nice pics. only one ride on Cedar Downs tho? . . my favorite flat in the park. (and it's best if you're a bit buzzed. . shhhhhh)
  10. Jeffery Siebert has been all over FB Texas Thrill Seekers group this morning, teasing the SFFT 2020 addition. he's implying heavily that Boomerang, and the adjacent theater (not Lone Star Lil's, but the one that sits across from Roadrunner, and backs up to Bommerang's spires), are not long for this world. So might be an actual ride, rather than simply a re-theme of Kidzopolis to a DC hero themed area! he also said whatever is coming, there is not one currently in Texas. let the excitement begin
  11. SFFT Park President Jeffrey Siebert has announced on FB that "Joker: Carnival of Chaos" and "DC Supervillain Swings" will be opening TOMORROW (Sunday, 7/28) for previews! yay!
  12. aww. .thanks Alice! that I do a 4 mile walk every day (as part of my exercise program) probably made the Cliff Walk easier for me, tho to be honest I didn't see anyone struggling (or at the very least, no one was complaining)
  13. I go to parks all the time alone, and have no issue doing it. however, I DO try to watch myself when chatting with others in line around me (as I often get into conversations with folks around me in lines). But I don't want to be *that* guy, so while I might recommend a ride in the park as fun, I don't go into details about which seat to ride in, or why a B&M is best in the back, or any of that stuff. I've been stuck next to *that* guy before, and it's not fun. . so I try to not be that guy!
  14. I'd also say don't miss Cheese on a Stick from Totem Treats, or Ice Cream from the Old Mill
  15. thank you so much for sharing your pics! I love seeing reports from Tokyo Disney parks.
  16. two sh*ts ?? that's it!. .they shoulda called it the Hershey Highway.
  17. ^ thanks guys appreciate the kind words, and glad you enjoyed the pics!
  18. Looks like y'all had a great time, Michael! so glad I didn't miss your report! LOVE that Carousel. Never seen one that unique, where you can control the "gallop"
  19. agreed! thanks DerekRx for the coverage.
  20. they really did treat us all fantastic, and Jeffrey really does know how to run a park! Ron did a fantastic job leading our Cliff Walk tour too! was so happy I got to raise $$ for such a great cause, and have a fantastic time while doing it. (and since the links stay active, maybe all the participants will get a few more donations in the future, and SFFT can beat SFOT's total . . LOL) as to the endurance. . WW really takes it out of you since it's so intense in the back! I needed a quick standing break after 4 rides, then after 2 more, then again after 2. . LOL. But it was so incredible that we pretty much had it to ourselves for an hour! With all 3 trains on the track, it's about 3 minutes total to get one ride complete and to the lift hill again without leaving the train - so we did pretty good getting that many rides in the 50 minutes or so ERT (since we had to leave to walk over to IR). we certainly got enough rides in that once the park opened to all, I didn't feel any urge to get back on WW this visit
  21. Rollo is Nestle.... nope - in the USA, it's Hershey Even looked it up on Wiki just now to make sure I'm not crazy: Rolo (pronounced /ˈrəʊləʊ/), referring to the roll-styled candy, is a brand of truncated-cone-shaped or frustum-shaped chocolates with a caramel middle. First manufactured in the United Kingdom by Mackintosh's in 1937 (followed by Rowntree's after the takeover in 1969), they are made by Nestlé, except in the United States where production has been licensed to The Hershey Company.
  22. part of the reason we booked our trip to St Louis was SFStL (the other reasons were City Museum and the Gateway Arch). we didn't go to any other parks, we went to Six Flags.
  23. I love the layout, I like the color a lot (the brown track grew on me). . the name is throwing me a bit. Six Flags has kind of made Pandemonium synonymous with a family spinning coaster in my head, so "CandyMonium" is throwing me a little bit. It's a GREAT name for a HersheyPark ride, but not 100% sure it "fits" I would have called this something like "the Full Bar" or, hell: "Hershey's Rollo Coaster" but they didn't ask ME. . LOL. Regardless, it's gonna be great, and a hit for the park.
  24. ^ yeah.. that it had been really good every other time I'd gone there, compounded the feelings of disgust
