A bit gutted to have missed out on Outlaw Run when I visited last week, will have to try and make a return trip in a few years. -

Got to love Cedar Point. Park shut at 11pm tonight but the queue for Raptor was still open at ten past. The Valravn queue still looked about 30/40 mins long at closing too, kudos to the park for keeping the lines open right up till closing time. -

Visited the park today for the first time and had a great time. Was suprised to find that I liked Lightning Run a lot more than Storm Chaser. Both really good rides though. The less said about the other two coasters the better haha. Was suprised the park was so quiet, all the coasters were a two train wait at most with one train ops. -

Wow, great news about Dragster. I will be visiting tomorrow and Wednesday and was thinking it would be shut all trip when I read that the cable snapped. In a way I hope the park isn't as quiet as all the other parks we've visited the lasted couple of weeks given I've splashed out on fast passes for both days in advance.. -

Something like one of those S&S swing rides would be perfect in the Thunderbird area imo. As good as Thunderbird was, it felt a bit separated from the rest of the park back there. -

Went to the park today for the first time, what a great park! The free drinks are a really nice touch. All the rides were great except Voyage, that coaster was awful. Just so rough and I couldn't wait for it to end. I imagine it was great when it first opened though, imagine that layout with RMC topper track.. What a strange location the park was in, driving from St Louis to the park and on to Louisville after we saw pretty much nothing the whole way, I wonder where the park draws all it's crowds from.. -

Visited the park this afternoon for the first time after driving up from Branson and had a great time. After reading lots of negative things about the park i wasnt expecting much but actually ended up enjoying it more than Fiesta Texas which I visited last Sunday. All the coasters were walk ons which probably helped tbf. Loved The Boss and Mr Freeze, not quite sure I understand the hype for Justice League though, thought it was pretty average myself. -

At the park today and Outlaw Run has been shut all day. As we have made such a long journey to get to the park guest relations have given us tickets to return tomorrow if it doesn't open today. Great service! -

Do any of the locals on here know when schools stop for Autumn break in Germany? Planning a trip to Phantasialand and Holiday Park in October but would rather not go when the kids are off school. Thanks! -
Thanks for the advice, we did another coaster trip last year with similar amounts of driving so we should be OK on that front. We aren't stopping at King's Island as we went there last year and apart from The Beast and Banshee weren't really worried about a visiting there again. The City museum in St Louis does look really cool, we'll probably go there then.

Wow, thanks for the tips, very helpful. We are definately buying flash pass at Fiesta Texas on the first day as we'll be pretty exhausted by mid afternoon with jetlag (12 hours flying the day before) so not too worried about queues there, ZDTs sounds like a good shout, I'd totally forgotten about that park. I've already bought fast pass+ for Cedar Point both days there. Pretty expensive but I don't want to be flying halfway round the world to stand in queues all day ha. Thanks to everyone elsewho has commented, much appreciated.

Hello all, I'm doing a roadtrip in a couple of weeks and have a couple of questions. I thought it'd be easier to start a new thread than spam individual pages with loads of questions. The parks we will be visiting are: Sun 31st: SF Fiesta Texas Mon/Tues 1st/2nd: SF Over Texas Thurs 4th: SDC Fri 5th: SF St Louis Sun 7th: Holiday World Mon 8th: Kentucky Kingdom Tues/Wed 9th/10th: Cedar Point Thurs/Sat 11th/13th: SF Great America 1. The first day we visit SF Over Texas we are staying in Austin and travelling up to Dallas and plan doing the JFK Sixth floor museum before hitting the park in the afternoon. Has anyone here ever done that and have any idea how long it takes? Do Six Flags stop selling flash passes after a certain time if we don't get there till late afternoon? 2. SF St Louis are there any don't miss rides/attractions at the park apart from the obvious coasters? Only added this park to the trip as an afterthought due to having passes for it. 3. What to do in St Louis? The Gateway Arch we've got planned but anything else not to miss? 4. SF Great America we will be driving to from Sandusky and visiting Thursday 11th after we drive and then again on Saturday 13th before we fly home. Am I right to assume the park will be totally swamped these days? i am hesitant to drop big money on flash passes there the first day we go considering we won't be arriving till fairly late and the park shuts at 9.00. Thanks for taking the time to read, can't wait to finally try out some of these amazing looking RMC's!

I will be at the park on August 10th and 11th and have ordered FL+ for both days. Expensive yes but no way do I want to spend all my time for a one off trip stuck in queues. -

Looking for some help please.. Will be visiting SDC for the first time this summer and can't wait. Is the parks website the best place to buy tickets and do they do the same deal that Dollywood does where you can enter the day before after 3pm for free with your ticket. Also, is the park likely to be pretty manic on a Thursday in August? (4th) I have been to Dollywood the last couple years at this time of year and it has been quiet so I am hoping for the same here. Thanks! -

I have gone the last two summers in the first week of August and didn't queue more than 10 minutes for a coaster either visit. Don't know if we just struck lucky on our visits but think the fast pass they sell is fairly cheap anyway if it is busy. -

Nice! I'm planning to be there in May. I'm pretty sure the UK will count as "out-of-state". What type of proof of residency should I bring? I am going to be there from the UK on August 8th, just in time! I would have thought a passport or driving licence will do the trick. Just your accent will probably be enough though haha. -
