  1. Cedar Fair. Two reasons: 1) Live 30 minutes from Kings Island 2) Cedar Point
  2. Just got my new Club TPR freebie. It's like Christmas!
  3. Good times for a good cause! Always glad to support that. And thanks for the sweet Bag O Crap!
  4. $20 donation made. Thanks for all that you do to support Give Kids The World!
  5. No problem with weekday events as long as they are within relatively easy driving distance. Any day is a good day for a TPR Bash!
  6. That is awesome news, Robb! I wouldn't miss it.
  7. Thanks, Robb and Elissa, for the great new Club TPR swag that came in today's mail. Love it!
  8. Ready to ride for the second year in a row at Kings Island. Had a blast last year; this year my son will be joining me. Here's my page: http://www.firstgiving.com/fundraiser/doughubbuch/KingsIsland2013. Ride on!
  9. Thanks so much for everything you and Elissa do for us, Robb! I wish I would have gotten in on the fun sooner, but it's been great being a Club TPR member the last couple of years. My son and I had a fantastic time at the East Coast Bash last year, and while we can't afford one of the tours right now, we are really looking forward to going to another event or two this year. Thanks again!
  10. I'm in again this year; had a great time on the Racer at KI last year. Maybe Cedar Point this year depending on the coaster(s). Did I hear correctly that Coastermania is the same weekend at CP?
  11. Never rode either of these coasters, but I fully understand the "good riddance" sentiment. As a Cincinnati resident, I know I have been crying big-ass tears for weeks now that KI is finally taking down Son of Beast.
  12. The copies of Roller Coasters in the Raw I currently have are DVD, but I would love to try the Blu-Rays. Either way, if you make it, I will buy!
  13. Chinese awesomeness! Looking forward to the whole TR, Chuck!
  14. Absolutely awesome view. Maybe some day I can check it out for myself.
  15. Robb and Elissa - now that I've been back in the "real world" for a week, just wanted to say thanks for a truly great time at the East Coast Bash. My son and I have taken coaster trips every year since he was 10 or 11, and now that he is heading off to college, I'm kicking myself for waiting so long to attend a TPR event. But I have to say, our first TPR coaster experience was unforgettable. Both days were a blast, and the ERT was incredible, especially at night on I305 and Griffon. Can't wait to join you at an event in 2013!
  16. Agree on SFA. Looks like a great trip, but I would find a way to fit Waldameer into your schedule. Well worth the trip to ride Ravine Flyer II.
  17. Last coaster was Griffon during ERT to finish a great East Coast Bash at BGW.
  18. East Coast Bash at Kings Dominion on Saturday and Busch Gardens Williamsburg on Sunday!
  19. It was a great day and great event at Kings Island riding the Racer with Team TPR. I managed 87 circuits on the coaster, although my internal organs are just now settling back into position. Everyone at KI was fantastic, especially the Racer crew, who encouraged us throughout the day, and PR manager Don Helbig, who made it a day to remember for all of us. The walk-back tour of the Beast was awesome. Special thanks to the two families who came out to support and thank us, and shared their stories of how Give Kids the World impacted them during an incredibly difficult time. It was a great reminder of why we were all there. Here are a few photos from the Beast walk-back tour. Behind the scenes on the Beast. The Beast heads down the first hill. Heading for the second lift hill. The group heads further back into the woods. The Beast exits the tunnel near the back of the ride. Hugging the ground at the furthest point from the Beast station. Coasting For Kids participants set up for some Beast photos.
  20. Way to go, Daron! $760, that is awesome. Looking forward to riding with you on the Racer!
  21. Absolutely blows me away to see the support Team TPR is generating for Coasting For Kids. Be sure and encourage potential donors to watch the great Give Kids The World video. My daughter was convicted to donate $50 to my cause after watching it. Looking forward to spending time with the other Kings Island participants.
  22. There are very few things as cool as the Beast at night. Long-time KI season pass holder, and I always end my visits on the Beast before closing. You will love it!
  23. Thanks for the signature banner, Robb! Mike, I'm looking forward to my first Coasting For Kids event. The Racer is one of my favorites too; been riding it since Kings Island's opening weekend in 1972. Looks like you are in Louisville, my hometown. My first coaster was the Comet at the old Fontaine Ferry Park in Louisville. Now my son (cinciDAWGS12) and I love to roam the country riding coasters. Here is a picture of us during our first ride on Diamondback at media preview day in 2009 - in the red shirts about six rows from the back. Great coaster!
  24. I'm on board and looking forward to riding the Racer at Kings Island for Team TPR and Coasting for Kids!
  25. My son and I are planning to attend both days. First TPR trip!
