  1. I also thought it was weird. I'm guessing they went for the curb appeal of having the slide visible from the entrance. I was also wondering if RipCurl Racers would be the colors of teal, blue, yellow, and green or rainbow colored as pictured on the map?
  2. Might I ask about the rides in Beaver Brothers Bay, why is there is max height limit for the submarine ride and the balloons ride (unless you got a kid)? I can understand with all of the other rides in there being mainly "kids only".
  3. What's the point of Darien Lake keeping Galaxy Theater if it's never going to be used again? I wouldn't be surprised if that old thing is gone by the summer. Darien Lake has bad history in recent years for keeping stuff SBNO and/or empty for a few years.
  4. To make it worse, all of the Vekoma SLCs run extra rough! Darien Lake really needs a new coaster!
  5. To make it worse, you're out of pasta! I want to go to Six Flags!
  6. I can't believe that it's going to be twenty years since the Beaver Brothers Bay kiddie land opened at Darien Lake and also Hook's Lagoon in the water park. As well as the now-defunct Nightmare at Phantom Cave indoor roller coaster. The current kiddie land at Darien Lake was originally themed around the Popeye cartoons as "Popeye's Seaport", hence the rather limited nautical theme for the area with the submarine ride, the barrel themed kiddie Ferris Wheel, the monster trucks ride, the kiddie Wave Swinger, the raft ride, and the "spinach can" themed teacups ride. The "seaport" kiddie land replaced the old kiddie which was located by the main gate where the current water park is now. Hook's Lagoon was part of a water park expansion which included the bridge to a certain water slide complex whose initials are C.F. and lastly, Nightmare at Phantom Cave was Darien Lake first relocated ride that they got and Nightmare at Phantom Cave was moved to The Great Escape in 1999.
  7. On the bright side, yo can go to Six flags and buy a new one! Six Flags is way to "commercial"!
  8. To make it worse, Alton Towers sends Smiler to Darien Lake! I'm going to Disney World!
  9. On the bright side, you can now read your Jell-O! Looks like i'm not going to Darien lake this year!
  10. To make it worse, Kings Dominion closes forever! I'm going to eat at Wendy's!
  11. Speaking of Darien Lake's kiddie rides, other than the submarine ride, the "teacups" ride is kind of the worst looking, but when Darien Lake first opened the kiddie land as "Popeye's Seaport" the spinach can theme teacups made sense, but when Six Flags bought Darien Lake the teacups were rethemed to "Bugs Bunny's Carrot Cans", but when Six Flags sold Darien Lake in 2007 the ride is nothing more than a shell of its former self, no more vegetables in these cans.
  12. ^If only Darien Lake had gotten the rights to use The Beatles or at least paint a mural of a Beaver Dam (with cartoon beavers) on it since the kiddie land is now called "Beavers Brothers Bay"!
  13. To make it worse, Six Flags looses the rights to use Batman and renames them all to "Mind Eraser"! I need to go to more theme parks!
  14. The submarine kiddie ride at Darien Lake (I think it's no longer yellow, but I took this picture in 2011) looks kind of bland with just a plan blue background and an empty circle where Daffy Duck's head was.
  15. To make it worse, Ninja is already a bad coaster! I never got a chance to go to Geauga Lake!
