^^Oh, okay, I got you. Sorry I misunderstood. I agree with that assessment. I am very excited about tomorrow's announcement! It's awesome X-Flight, which I thought might be our only major coaster installation for several years, was just the prelude to what might be one of the world's best coasters. ^I agree. X-Flight has never had 4 hour lines that I have heard of.

Kings Island or Michigan's Adventure

Late September, MA is closed, so KI would be the only option. MA only has a week or two left. They have some weird park hours at KI on some weekend dates late in Sept., so check their calendar carefully before you go. I think one Saturday it is only open in the evening, while the next Saturday it is open all day. KI is a great park, and your daughter would enjoy it. We can't wait to go back next summer. First went in 2010. -

If you go to MA, plan on spending at least half the day in the waterpark, which is a good one. There are really only enough dry side rides to fill about half a day, but it is still a nice little park with a couple good coasters, and there are a few milder coasters if your daughter likes them but does not want the huge thrill rides. Shivering Timbers is a very good coaster for big thrills. Your daughter, if she is at 48", still has 7, I think, coasters she can ride at KI, so it's not so bad. The kids ride area at KI is top notch, though, with a junior invert included. It will be quite crowded at KI Saturday if you're going this week, I assume. MA has smaller crowds due to location and size. KI obviously has more big thrills in their ride collection. Having been to both parks with my family, the decision really boils down to if you want the major park experience with a lot of good rides, but longer lines, or a more relaxing day at a small park with fewer rides but a nice waterpark as part of your admission. Your daughter will have fun at both. -
Does not sound like it or look like it from the diagram. Look at the valleys for every other part of the ride, then look at the bottom of the first drop. I think it certainly looks lower. Yeah, I did notice that, but the bottom of the other hills could just start higher. We know there is no "tunnel" according to the livestream, but "below grade" was never addressed directly I guess. That looks like one steep first drop, and plenty of airtime hills, and possibly at least one inversion! I am getting excited!

Were they planning on a tunnel or something? That part was hard to understand? No plans for a tunnel. A board member suggested dropping the height of the lift 40 ft. by having it go 40 ft. underground, so the lift was 125 ft. above ground, thus, no need for the height variance (which is for anything above 125 ft). Silly idea that's not practical. Doesn't matter now, as the motion for the height variance passed. Now, to wait for the 29th!

Should go to a planning meeting for Six Flags America... they need to get approval for almost ANYTHING they do and there is ALWAYS a few complainers. I am not surprised by it. It's pretty entertaining. I know exactly where all these people live, and it is literally adjacent to the park. What do they expect? The lady at the mic is clueless about the park. Earlier and earlier noises? The park opens a half hour later this year!
