  1. ^^Really enjoyed the DA pictures...thanks for posting! It definitely seems to fit in well and appears to be a great addition. I'm not into dinosaurs and never really was, but I think it would be more than worthwhile to check out! I'm sure it will be a hit with families.
  2. Opening weekend we saw far too much creamsicle orange. It was horrible! We even saw a guy in full head to toe orange wearing a shirt that said "I can't hear you Rocky Top is playing". That did make me laugh and became a bit of a joke the rest of the weekend.
  3. This looks like a blast. I'd love to try it out!
  4. With a disabled rider it's far different than with someone who "pays" to cut the line since the disabled rider has a valid reason for being permitted to use an alternate entrance to board an attraction....besides with a disabled rider there aren't streams of them all attempting to board at the same time so that analogy doesn't hold water. It was tongue in cheek. I realize there aren't streams of disabled riders taking your seat. I'll just never understand the anger and disdain for those who purchase these type of passes. Moral of the story, save your quarters and use the system yourself. You'll be a believer!
  5. ^I have a feeling the system will be tweaked as the season progresses. Give it a bit of time, it's "new" to these parks and there needs to be some time to make adjustments and make sure all staff are operating on the same page with how the park wants the system to be implemented. From your post in the Carowinds thread about the FP, it almost seems like it was implemented differently for each ride. I would hope this would become more consistent as the season progresses and would just be a sign of ride ops not fully understanding what they need to be doing.
  6. I just really hope all these people that are against quick queues, Q-bots, Fast Lanes, etc do quit going to parks that utilize them as a protest....then my wait times will be less with or without my "line cutting" pass! And personally, I think these systems are outstanding. Any time I don't have to stand in line for long periods of time with annoying teenagers and GP makes my day that much better. And if there is a time I visit a park and don't purchase one of these passes (which is fairly often), I definitely don't get upset or even pay attention to those that do. It's a personal choice whether or not to purchase one. I don't quite understand why people waste their thoughts and energy on getting upset over these things. Do people that get upset having someone with a fast pass receive priority boarding also get upset if a handicapped rider boards before you? I've been asked to wait a train or 2 for these riders and it's never once bothered me.
  7. Great TR. And yes, Miss Lillian is awesome and so glad we were told to check her out on this visit. And I was about to say I'm sorry we didn't hit up the car ride or that area but then I saw this.... And I'm happy we didn't. I saw enough support of the Vols that weekend, didn't need the extra signage.
  8. ^I love the way they've handled this! And that really may be one of the worst written "news" articles I've read.
  9. You are awesome! Thank you Jennifer! Please let me know which rider (link) you'd like $5.00 to go to. Since John just got started and he's participating at Canada's Wonderland, we'll go with him! http://www.firstgiving.com/fundraiser/johnleclair/CanadasWonderland
  10. The best rides on Thunderhead for me were the front row. Definite sustained airtime and it was awesome! Not that the back row was bad, I just had better rides in the front last weekend. I was beyond annoyed with people at this park. I was ready to quit after the first track we raced on. Told Steve I was ready to quit after track 2, was glad we went home after track 3. Those people were obnoxious and freaking awful! It doesn't help that I'm ultra competitive but damn, they were awful to be on a track with. I went straight back to the cabin and poured a big glass of wine.
  11. Like the Harry Potter twats we encountered recently. It really is obnoxious but they were just oblivious to the fact that they were bogging down the line. It would be great to see some monitoring of the single rider line, I just will never expect it.
  12. ^Missing Rampage would be a bummer as it really was a fun ride. The rest of the park, meh.
  13. I think of you every time I hear or see honey badger. No hot tub sex pictures, only pool table sex pictures...on top of Caesar's clothes.
  14. ^^ & ^ And Shawn will have to verify but I think I remember hearing that Miss Lillian thought Caesar had a nice face.
  15. I'm very happy I was able to get some rides on Rampage a few summers ago, even though it was early in my coaster-loving existence. It was a great ride!
  16. No problem Shawn. It was going to happen anyway once I saw your page, just happened to come during this little promo. Very happy to help you...good luck!
  17. ^Donation sent to SuperShawn for organizing an awesome weekend! You rock Shawn!
  18. ^ You're insane, but in a good way.
  19. Definitely going to try to make this work. Should be a blast!
  20. Don't even get me started on the line for that place. It blows my mind. And I asked Steve today, I wonder how much they actually make on selling Butter Beer each day. Everyone is walking around or leaving that area with a cup. But like I said, I know nothing about the whole thing so I can't really say. I just can't imagine standing in a line like that for the chance to purchase a twig or even standing in a long line to purchase Butter Beer. But that's just me. More power to everyone else willing to do it. More time for me to ride Dueling Drag....I mean Dragon Challenge.
