AJ Adventure Land [RCT2]
braztaz replied to Millenniumfan94's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
I'm liking the park so far, but ma I recommend some more trees around "Monster"? It seems like it'd look and feel better with more foliage surrounding it. -

I'm loving this storyline! Nice job, can't wait for more! Huh, the track looks like a mini-coaster? -
JULY 29, 2010 UPDATE: For those of you new to this thread, this is the home of the "Holiday Thrills Expansion Corporation". It is like Cedar Fair or Six Flags, it looks for space open in thriving vacation spots and turns them into large theme parks. Currently, it only has one addition park: "Myrtle Magic", which can be seen later in the thread. It's updates or each season will include both the park's additions. Thanks for reading, feedback is welcome, and have fun! pg. 3: Myrtle Magic first revealed to public! pg. 11: Topsail Island is revealed. pg. 12: 200ft wood coaster added at Myrtle Magic...self acclaimed "Wood Coaster Capital of the World!" ----- In the 1980s, a local business man wanted to open a small theme park to attract the local beach goers in Virginia Beach, to increase money so he could put more food on his family's table. He bought some undeveloped land next to some hotels on the beach and began his project... With only a few flats, the man and his family were making money like crazy during the "park"'s first season. The park's name: "Holiday Thrills". The park began to grow and grow. New sections added, it's first roller coaster added in the late 80s. What started as a local thing has turned into one of the most thriving park's in the country- tourists from all over would visit just to see the beautiful scenery and magnificent rides. Local hotels were packed all throughout the summer...water parks were added, even a B&M Hypercoaster. I took my family on a visit to this "Holiday Thrills", not expecting much. But...well, you'll see for yourself! (P.S: This is a topic for the entire Holiday Thrills Expansion Corp., which will soon buy many more parks as it continues to grow as a company. More pictures of the coasters are to be added of their main park, "Holiday Thrills".) SCR384.BMP We exited the interstate and drove down a long rode of shops on our way to the beach, hotels, and park. We know we're getting close as we pass by this massive sign... SCR385.BMP We're getting even closer! SCR386.BMP We arrive at our hotel, the park directly next to us! We were debating which entrance to use to get in the park- the one off the interstate or the one directly from the beach. SCR394.BMP We assumed most people used the beach entrance, so we headed our way back the road and found ourself with this very small entrance building. SCR412.BMP Very nice entrance plaza, with a restaurant and of course, some bathrooms. The season pass processing center is located at the other side of the park. SCR413.BMP Here's the beach entrance, overlooked by a wonderful B&M Floorless. SCR395.BMP Overview of most of the park. (Note from braztaz: Keep in mind, I took this a while ago, so not a lot of it is up to date.) You can see the water park to the upper left.

I thought it was the unbearable heat&humidity that's been having an effect on the rides. But, who knows. -

Something weird with the screenshots on vista, some of them actually started showing up without pressing Complatibility files. I don't remember doing anything different, but for 100 screenshots or so I didn't have to go to compatibility files. Now I'm back to the same-old, same-old. Weird. -

We rode Grizzly in the back row. I almost hit my hand on the tunnel, and I know headchoppers are supposed to give you that feeling, but I actually had the sense of danger, and I've heard of a few people who have whacked their hands on it. Oh, and I just realized that the back row is much better than the front row in many roller coasters. Intimidator definitely, Rebel Yell, Dominator...just to name a few.It gives really nice airtime. -

Just got back from ma great day at Kings Dominion. I'm proud to say that REBEL YELL RAN BOTH SIDES today, i dunno if that's happened in a while or what, but in mid-day it was running both sides, then later it only ran the red side. Dominator was rougher than usual, as well. Also, Grizzly was a death-machine for me...just never liked that ride. Too rough. -

The thing is, the only custom scenery I have are the ones that came with some of the park's I've downloaded... I'll try it again today and see if I still have the same problem. -

No. Nope, just the wooden coaster. Only thing I used trainer in this park was for the extra cash. Yes, but they're not being used in the park right now and they've worked perfectly fine before as I haven't downloaded any new ones. -

Okay guys, I really need some help here. I dunno what I did, or why it's doing this, but I'm getting an Error Trapper whenever I do the following- Test a new roller coaster Try to build a new roller coaster Which happens a lot...and this is with any game I try! Is it some custom scenery I put in? Or what's happening? If you need me to, I'll tell you all the custom scenery I have downloaded. I just hope I haven't ruined my game... -

Thanks! And I tried that, and yes it looked much better, but whenever I test the "red" side I keep getting Error Trappers. And the only hacking i've done to this park is adding cash... huh. Maybe it's some of the custom scenery i've downloaded? -

I usually always go when it's forecasted for rain, because the parks empty and the rides are only closed for an hour or so, if closed at all. But I have a season pass and I'm not too far away. For a 5 hour drive, I'd wait until, say Wednesday, when it's sunny and forecasted in the mid 80s. Yeah...the thing with me is that I went to SFGAdv 2 years ago and they predicted rain and T-Storms, and not only did it not do either, but it was perfect out. I also figure that there is at least Flight of Fear to ride if it does rain or storm. TWC has it down for a 30% chance of precipitation, but I wasn't sure if any of the local weather stations had anything different. Flight of Fear is still closed during thunderstorms. Who knows, but I might go tomorrow, rain or shine. Plus, I also made the mistake that the park would be empty when it's 104 degrees outside. Not only did I get heat exhaustion again, (almost lol) I only got a few rides in. -
