I am going to try to find out if I can do this. It is shortly after my graduation, so it would be a good way to celebrate! I am going to ask my parents if they will let me drive myself up, seeings as it is such a good cause. I would have such a blast doing this. Thanks Robb and Elissa for doing such a great job sparking people's donations. If I do not end up doing this, I will be donating, no doubt! Thanks again, hope to see you Cedar Point riders!

TPR Facebook Page Cover Photo Contest
Taylor Finn replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Personally, the less busy the better. The initial few with the new ferris wheel are nice in my opinion. That fills up some empty space without making anything too busy. I do this design a lot. -
TPR Front Page RE-Design Contest!
Taylor Finn replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Two quick things. These are suggestions; some of them have been brought up. These are things that most interest me. 1. I also don’t want many links on the main page. For frequent users, it can get a bit boring to see the same updates day after day and watch them “work their way down” the page. And for new users, it can be a bit overbearing. I like the scrolling feature. You can keep exploring if you want to, sort of. 2. I think it would be sorta cool to have a spot for the most replied to forum of the day, like the most busy one, either somewhere separate on the page or as part of the drop down option for the forum with the forum topics. Just so you could see more of what is going on in the forum from the main page. It could attract more viewers. Note- I kinda see after writing the second one that usually the most popular forum topic is a link for the updates…. So I don’t know if it would be practical or not. -
Well, I was on the edge about going on New Hotness, but now that Busch Gardens Wiliamsburg has coke, I have made up my mind. Hahaha, kidding. But either way, in terms of Coke Products as a whole, I have no preference, aside from Mountain Dew over Vault. But Coke vs. Pepsi... Coke is the winner. I tolerate Coke, I hate Pepsi. Cherry Coke and Vanilla Coke are awesome though!

2011.. What was your highlight?
Taylor Finn replied to Chroniq's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Major highlight was finding out I was going to be going on the New Hotness Trip next summer. Supplementally, I also enjoyed going to Knoebel's and Hershey and riding all the coasters in spite of the fear that I would damage my then just recently recovered back. -
Theme Park Review's BLACK FRIDAY SALE!!!
Taylor Finn replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I truly appreciate this. But I tried again like four or five times typing in manually and copying the code and pasting it. However, to not avail, it says incorrect code. I really don't know. I know I used the digital download one a bit ago, but I have definitely never used the 10$ off coupon prior to today. I am so sorry. -

I aologize if it was something I did. Is there any way you could cancel that transaction and I can go through another one (hopefully not being an idiot)? -
Theme Park Review's BLACK FRIDAY SALE!!!
Taylor Finn replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Orderd two DVDS!! I was hoping to use my 10 dollar CLUB TPR coupon, but it didn't really cooperate at all with me for some reason. I sent you an email Robb in hopes of sorting out. But either way, I'm stoked to have them. I like the Coaster Expedition ones the most, so I got two of those. Hopefully I'm still one of the first 100. -
The Bag-Of-Crap Giveaway Thread!
Taylor Finn replied to ernierocker's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I apologize for not paying attention to the directions on this one, that is absolutely my bad. After I won my round, I was sure I had earned a prize. An earlier winner was talking about giving his/her's away. That is the only reason I figured I had won. Sorry Robb that this contest didn't go over as planned due greatly in part to myself. -

I hope I get a 'Great Coasters Inc' T-shirt in my BOC. I am honestly stoked for it. Beyond stoked. I don't know why, exactly. But I can't wait. A good 15 BOC contests entered (various types) and I finally win something! And aweseome loot it seems. Thank you! -

Is the ride/attraction water-based? -
I have little to add that has not already been said many times already. It is just a shame that these coasters won't operate the way they were designed. People need to just follow instructions. Roller Coasters are designed with safety in mind. They would not put these notices up if they didn't NEED to be adhered to. Hypocritically enough, I know most of us have probably been on a coaster or two with loose articles. I like what Rock 'n Roller Coaster did with the little bags for your stuff. You don't have to be afraid that your stuff will be stolen, etc, etc.

I don't live terribly far from this park and have just wanted to check it out. But I recently saw a commercial for their haunt event, "Ghost Lake." I am infatuated with the idea of the 'abandoned' park concept. Like others have said, this event could rock with more funds. I have heard it really does rock, already. Anyone go to the event this year? And do they do anything different to the Blue Steak for the event (it's called the Ghoster Coaster). Finally, is the Blue Streak included? I have been getting the vibe that it is not, although the website sort of makes it seem that way. Thanks!

Knoebels Discussion Thread
Taylor Finn replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I went to Knoebel's last year and was disappointed to find they were working on two coasters. I felt ripped off haahah. But I am extremely excited to go here on The New Hotness trip next summer and ride this. I am glad to hear it is a lengthy experience. The idea of the ride being 'terrained' per-say, excites me. And I always like multiple lifts. Not a dull moment. -

You know, I've never been to this park before. I've wanted to for a while. With all the licenses lost, and such... I'm tempted to just wait back for two years and see what happens. What Six Flags needs to realize (quick) is the amount of customers they lose when people like you post these disappointing reviews, or just through heresay. Even if they have a bunch of rides and sections of the park closed down, they could at least make an effort to give people a good time. How hard is it to run two trains on coasters, clean up a little bit, and train your employees so they aren't so confused? I'm only hoping that at this time next year, they'll get their stuff togetehr.
