Nürburgring launched coaster
liftsifter replied to thomas2's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Intamin > S&S At least Intamin can get the coaster (Kingda Ka) up and running without any problems. Is there a reason these coasters don't use LIM motors? or do LIMs not power enough? -

Why is IOA's attendance so low?
liftsifter replied to ansley's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Six Flags Great America, Magic Mountain, and Great Adventure combined don't even equal the amount of attendance they receive. All of these parks are in extremely populated areas, or the outskirts of. -

B&M is known not to release anything unless they have it down to a science. That is exactly why B&M's are much more reliable, smooth, and expensive than other coasters. I'm sure this 'prototype' isn't one at all. I think this is more-a-less a 1st public test. And it will be a success. I think Hank Salemi put it great when he said, "A B&M Coaster is like the Mercedes or Cadillac of cars. They have a reputation for reliability." B&M is actually one of the youngest coaster manufacturers around. est.1990 (Iron Wolf <3) -

So excited for my first ever TPR trip! This will definitely be exciting! -
^ I'll keep that in mind. I had this update ready before hand. River Pine: Spring, Year 1 Park Owner: David Rayahin and Family Park Manager: Sam Herring Park Opening Date: April 12th, Year 1 Park Hours (Spring): Sun:10am-7pm Mon: Closed Tues:Closed Wed:Closed Thurs:Closed Fri:3pm-10pm Sat:9am-11pm Ticket Prices: Adult General Admission: $15.00 Child General Admission:$9.00 Under 3: Free Season Pass: $40.00 Attractions: Miner's Mayhem The American Eagle Scrambler Americana Carousel Zipper Bumper Cars Whirling Dervish Double Wheel ------------------------------------------------------------- The park entrance is very plain, and get's the job done well. Something that many guests asked us about were these new metal beams. The list hill and a few other areas of The American Eagle feature new 'i-Beam' sections. Miner's Mayhem is truly a unique and exciting experience! This area is fenced off. It looks like there may be some future expansion! Another common question was why The Eagle has such a large station. The station is meant to house three trains in the event that a three train operation is required. The park had a one/two train operation today. See Ya' Soon!

Welcome to River Pine[/center] Hello there! I've had the distinct pleasure to be working with some amazing people in the construction of this phenomenal park. We've turned this abandoned area into an amusement park in the matter of weeks. Please, take a look for yourself. This is a nice picture of the main part of the park. Our in-house building designer was extremely pleased with the outcome of the Bumper Car house. Miner's Mayhem is an all new design from Intamin. It is a Wooden Wild Mouse. This is The American Eagle. An Intamin out-and-back classic wooden coaster. Once the coaster is running, it is expected to have 30 seconds of airtime! Thanks for taking a look! - Sam Herring

Oak Island Park (RCT3)

Hey Everyone! I've got a very nice announcement! Triple Drop is a Shoot-the-Chute ride with a triple tier drop. We've also applied for a height variance for next year. We are asking to build higher than the 125ft. height limit for a future addition. A very cool abstract beam has been added above the entrance plaza. If you have any concerns about next year's addition, we encourage you to attend the June 15 meeting. Here's Triple Drop! It's testing as of right now. One of the areas that were originally supposed to have a restaurant. A Quarter Dollar will get you unlimited access for a minute to squirt people on Triple Drop! Feedback Please! Thanks! -

Thanks! In the future, I'll consider that for a paint job. I actually thought it was a really horrible clone, as you can see the corkscrews aren't really in the right spot. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello Everyone! My name is David Rayahin, Park Operator, and, Park Manager! I've been at the park a lot lately, and I've been working hard with our ride development team. I think this one is going to be a real winner for our first season. It's an in-house custom built Texas Tubs attraction! The ride is made out of shaped wood, and aluminum rails. I also grabbed a few pictures of our flat rides, and some food stations. Here's Butter Tubs! Looks like fun! Each car has room for four people! If you want to spin more, spin more! We're proud to be serving Dr. Pepper around the park! Sky Wheel is looking nice! Your classic Tea Cups. See Ya' Soon! -

PARK UNVEILS NEW NAME. FIRST COASTER UNVEILED. Hello! Welcome to Oak Island Park! We've finally come out of our shell, and introduced ourselves to this fine community! We hope to have your support in our future endeavors! Today, on behalf of everyone at the park, I'd like to introduce you to our first coaster! A B&M Inverted Coaster! The coaster was originally situated at a park in the U.S. but that park has since been liquidated. The coaster is painted Red, White and Blue and is named PATRIOT. The coaster features a twister layout with five inversions! Guests that walk into the park can see the beautiful sight that is Patriot. Guests have the opportunity to purchase an on-ride photo. Ferry is a swinging ferry themed boat that is the first flat ride in the park. - David Rayahin -

Six Flags Great America 6-26-2010

June 26, 2010 - A Walk in the Park! This Saturday was 'A Walk In The Park', although I was unable to participate, I bought park food all day so that I can help with the horrid 2% the park is giving to cancer research. Anyways, I got quite a few pictures. Giant Drop had a hellofa bad time, It broke down twice, and the final time a car was stuck at top for quite a while. Then soon after it was slowly brought down, and the maintenance people we're working on it for about two hours after that. Bull crew SUCKED! 45 seconds off the timer, and on our ride, 205 seconds! STACKING! :/ (I shouted 'CAPACITY!!!' and they started moving faster. haha) Sky Trek Tower is looking as good as ever! Sadly, it wasn't running today. Condor. Such fabulous memories. <3 The cloud covered sky made for a nice backdrop to some pictures. American Eagle, Raging Bull, Giant Drop, Dare Devil Dive. The Puke Train (#2) Demon want's his train back! GIVE IT BACK! muaaahahaah! We we're chosen to hold this! Yay! It was a 45 minute wait. Viper was having a good day. I heard some kids (7-9) saying that Raging Bull should 'go away' and they should put a big coaster there. What's a big coaster? With the age of whizzer, I was quite surprised with the minimal amount of rust. Compared to Batman, i say their equal. I really like the Six Flags logo color on this. It was very nice. before after Batcave Whizzer, a family coaster is advertising GROWN UPS. And I mean, who the hell puts the same exact ad twice on one wall. Ended the day with on Whizzer with a friend.

I haven't tried it, but my Mighty Mouse works great, and you can get a used one for about $10 now.
