  1. Fun report, So what was Big Mike using to entice the native girls?
  2. Fun post, Any more details on the visitor held hostage until he deleted the photos?
  3. I cast my vote with Scully, The loss of Capt. Nemo's submarines is criminal.
  4. You are correct, sir. And now for the bonus question: Jupiter actually appears very briefly in one of the later Godzilla movies. Can you name that movie? (Seriously, I can't remember which one; I know it's not "GMK: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack," because I just rewatched that one not too long ago.) Love the new videos; that pre-lift sequence on Jupiter looks pretty sweet! Err, currently my Gojira movies are at the bottom of a leaning tower of DVD's and Blu Rays........ I *think* it was Godzilla vs Megaguirus And thanks again to Rob for going without much needed rest to torment er, tantalize us with the awesomeness that is Nippon!
  5. I could cry..... I couldn't go because my coworker is having knee surgery and I'm the only other locksmith here, so no go....... I hope I don't get banned for this but that's not a LEGO Godzilla, it's a LEGO Gamera. Yakatori.... meat onna stick , Mr."cut me own throat" Dibbler on Discworld would approve. Scott " I know my japanese movie monsters"45
  6. Tower of Terror! my vote for scariest ride...... It's a small World.
  7. Damn, As a Charleston native, I truly wish this had been a real park. Thank you, and good luck!
  8. So how accommodating is the restraint system for big riders? I'm 6'3" and 300 lbs
  9. I understand what they're doing to Fantasyland, just peeved that they find the money to redo a whole section of the park when they wouldn't fix up 2 of the best rides in DW. You're in Orlando, wanna fly to Ca just to ride the better version of Pirates of the Caribbean? Granted, I need to go to Paris to ride the best version of Space Mountain even if it is a Jules Verne steampunk version. Anyway I'll shut up about it now.
  10. It's not a bad idea per se, it's the fact that WDW was always shortchanged on ride refurbishments compared to DisneyLand. As an eastcoaster it's hard to watch what DL gets via on-line pics here as well as other Disney sites then find out that DW is getting the "lite" version.
  11. These are fun! Time to visit Carolwinds again, I think the last time I went was '83!
  12. The most annoying thing here to me is the fact that the Florida suits downgraded the Pirates and Space Mountain upgrades due to the fact that it would "cause people to cancel their plans to visit WDWif the E ticket rides were closed" and then turn around and do this.
  13. I'd like to know where you heard SFoG was removing their log flume. It certainly was still there at the tail end of last year... The thread is about Park City, Utah, not Six Flags Over Georgia. Please stay on topic. Looks like I need to kick my nephew in the butt then as I asked him last Summer and he said they got rid of it, then again this is the same dummy that rolled his eyes when I asked him if he rode the old okeefenokee ride.
  14. Log rides/Fumes Haven't quite a few parks removed theirs? Carolwinds and Six Flags over Georgia did unless I misread a few reports.
  15. Considering how many parks are getting rid of 'em, count 'em while you can.
  16. Rob, Love the updates on the "side" stuff of food and shows so I'll have an idea on what I need to hit next time I go. I'm trying to eat at a different place every time I go to EPCOT while the rest of the family only wants to go to one certain place every time!
  17. Man, I only went twice, once in '76 and the last time was '82 while visiting relatives there. I always thought it was cooler than SFOG or Carolwinds, our "local" amusment parks for Charleston SC. The junk in Myrtle Beach never counted. I do remember thinking Greezed Lighting felt different from the Carolwinds version but that the Texas Cyclone didn't quite beat out SFOG's Great American Scream Machine.
  18. You saw that pizza didn't you?
  19. Extra credit to Rob for the DEVO t-shirt!
  20. Congrats! Tell us the whole story when you can.
  21. Oh, and is there any official "rules" to claiming credits?, other than "I rode that sonofagun the day it opened!" BS I've heard over theyears?
  22. Thanks all, I'll try not to make any more newbie mistakes like leaving a "b" off Robb's name!
  23. So as someone new to the board who's been riding 'coasters from the Carolinas to Texas for the past 30 something years, where's the best place to brush up on the backstory of Coaster History? I don't know an Intamin from a Handsaw....
  24. Ok, downloaded the Gift and ordered 2 DVD's! Thanks Robb! (see, found that missing "b")
