If I were to guess at a timeline, I'd guess that the park will keep Colossus open through the end of Fright Fest and promote "last time ever" for backwards Colossus like crazy. They would then either close the ride right after, or run it through winter break before closing it. Given the size of the attraction, I'm thinking it will take 12-16 months to rebuild, so I wouldn't expect the refurbishment to be complete until Spring/Summer 2015. With YOLOcoaster opening this year, I wouldn't be surprised if the park gets little to nothing for 2014. Perhaps Hurricane Harbor could finally get a major new attraction next year instead. YES... SFHH seems LONG overdue for a non "play area" attraction, Like a new body slide...

today was the last day to buy a season pass and WAS the last day to upgrade to gold for free, They extended the "process" date I think, So IMO it was most likely everyone who delayed it to the last day, and they where overwhelmed. I think they used both the new processing center and FB (old) processing center, and they were still overwhelmed. You're defending this??? Some people have reported this has been going on for longer than just today. It's simply not acceptable. NO, im not defending it. Sorry if it came out that way

RT @TheCoasterGuy: Superman plaza @SFMagicMountain closed for FT const. Security guard said it will remain closed until ride opens. http://t.co/0Y5ua1LV Second tweet They've already excavated the back of the hill by Gold Rusher for FT footers. Construction walls are going up now, so the path will reopen.

It doesn't take a psychic to know what SFMM crowds + a bus can create. Have you ever tried to catch the tram back to the parking lot after a busy day? It's a war zone! Then, when you are on this enclosed bus with 159 of your closest teenage park buddies that smell fantastic (your actual friends weren't able to shove their way through the two doorways on this one, maybe they'll catch the next one), you can shake your head and go 'those TPR guys were right.' I am actually wondering if this is going to be a chain wide thing. (like slowly incorperating these "trams" into all of their parks)

The only time I would really use the tram was when it was 100 degrees outside. Most of the time, its a nice walk, and its not like we are walking as far, as when we go to a baseball game like from LAD/LAA stadium to the parking lot. Right? And that issue hapened with the old tram to. Its one of the reasons why I avoid it
