  1. Wait, wait, wait. Is that Dick Kinzel spending money in his own park?!?!?!?! How much you wanna bet he had someone open those change boxes up after they were done so he could get his money back?
  2. It was, but it's been replaced with banned members of TPR.
  3. And I was proud of the fact that I had ridden 40 of the 50 operating B&Ms in the US. That's awesome! Well done!
  4. I rode it last August, and I would have jumped off the ride and taken my chances with death over finishing that ride. It was that bad.
  5. Now if only people could also take that same exact argument and apply it to Cedar Point.
  6. ^So I guess I have to channel my inner CoasterReece?
  7. ^I think Paramount created the disaster that is the Congo "themed" area, especially considering Avalanche, Italian Job, and Flight of Fear were also already there. They also created a themed area for the actual coaster, which I think nullifies the whole Congo thing at least for I305. And just for the record, I was defending Cedar Fair last year when I had no affiliation with them whatsoever.
  8. Do they give you an extra dime on your paycheck for each post you make defending them? No, but a small midget in Africa dies every time some moron on here blames them for something they had nothing to do with. I'm just doing it for the midgets.
  9. I still think its hilarious they put a NASCAR ride in the jungle-themed area. Cedar Fail! That area of the park was Congo themed well before Cedar Fair took over. Cedar Fair bashing fail, as usual.
  10. I'm sure a few people are bashing CP and Intamin for THIS right now, at least in their heads. Well with the pending news of CP's possible new coaster next year, and with a growing rumor that the coaster my be an Intamin ZacSpin, SFMM is delaying the building of Mr. Six until they know for sure what CP is doing and they can adjust their plans accordingly in the now-defunct coaster wars. Sounds plausible.
  11. And to think, people were bashing CP and Intamin for a two-week delay on a log flume. Haven't seen much bashing of SFMM for having a year-long delay on a relocated kiddie coaster.
  12. That's why I'm thinking it's a monetary issue. I mean what else could it be if it's not a permit issue?
  13. Wouldn't that have been done before the track even arrived at the park? Steel that met code in Louisiana might not have met code in California. I really have no idea, just thinking out loud really. However, after putting some more thought into it, my best guess has got to be financial reasons. If there was some unexpected expense that they had to reallocate Mr. Six money into, then I could see how a delay would make sense.
  14. And that's precisely why I'm REALLY excited to get there next Tuesday when I'm sure that place is going to be absolutely dead.
  15. That and I wonder if some of the structure isn't up to code because of the lasting effects of the Hurricane. Perhaps they have to get Vekoma to fabricate new steel for the ride? Or another thought, perhaps an unexpected amount of their budget was put towards the reprogramming of Ninja or some other unforeseen issue with rides, enough to make them put off building it?
  16. This thread is about as ugly as Nancy Pelosi in see through lingerie.
  17. ^I'm pretty sure the collective minds of CP and Intamin could come up with a higher capacity ZacSpin. Just because previous models don't get the greatest capacity doesn't mean newer ones won't.
  18. I think we can officially call this GCI's answer to Voyage, although it won't get anywhere near the amount of attention given its location.
  19. So because I got really bored today, I started editing some pictures I've taken this year. And I really like how they've turned out so far. Plus this thread needed a little bump. Intimidator's first drop. Knott's entrance and Silver Bullet. Mindbender subterranean loop. My avatar thrown for a color loop! Night shot of Intimidator!
  20. I'm laying down and I still almost fainted looking at these pics. Unreal.
  21. Oh wow, I totally didn't realize the cloth restraints had that same metal bar under them. Makes sense now that I think about it, but it just had never crossed my mind. I had envisioned something like the straps used on the 5-point restraints on Gravity Works' Skyscraper rides.
