  1. Now if you wanna spend that much on one coaster then I suggest going for gold with GCI or The Gravity Group.

What I mean is $15 million can get you a World Record wooden coaster!

It cost 8.5 to build The Voyage, and the new Timberliners wont eat up the track like a PTC will. So 10 to 15 million could get you a record breaking coaster, whether it be speed, height or length! and the GP will eat it up, just because it will hold a record!

"but it has to have an app! Apps make everything more offical!"

    ----Steve Jobs fanboy

EDIT:Six Flags App is a piece of crap, IMO. Doesn't work well and it crashes on me alot.

SMS is so much easier, cheaper too. I applaud BGT decision for doing this!

It seems like this Blackstone thing might just turn out to be better than anyone could have hoped for!I am thoroughly surprised on how the parks have been maintained and are expanding in a recession like this!

  3. ^ That sounds a bit more accurate...

Great TR, I cant wit to get back down there and experiance the park again!

That was my biggest peeve was the tree situation, glad to see HFC combat it!

Also I recommend that they have more Canadian bands as well as Blue Oyster Cult for the next concert season.

    Right there with you Erik!

Rush time Machine Tour 2011????? I could only hope!!

Rush+ Coasters= Insane awesomeness that cannot be described!!!!!

  4. Another quick Coastermania question:

The website for Coastermania does NOT list Club TPR as an approved club...

Yet Club TPR's site does list Coastermania as a ClubTPR benefit?

Just trying to get some info...

  5. I'm curious as to how they came about following Herschend and not another company. Why not Merlin, Parc or even Six Flags since its well known. I wonder if most of these companies were approached by CBS of if there was any time where a company could have went to them. More than likely all the companies were asked by CBS but I would still like to know if they had other theme park companies on their mind first.

I would suppose other operators in addition declined because:

Merlin is not an American Corporation (along with Parque Reunidos)

PARC is not "popular" enough (Would you have ever heard of Magic Springs/Darien Lake/Elitch Gardens if you were not an Enthusiast; Everyone has heard of Dollywood and Branson MS.)

As for Six Flags... I really don't know why they wouldn't say yes or be contacted. It would have been a great promo for the parks while pulling in a larger audience due to the fact everyone has heard of Six Flags. Maybe there are still some Warner ties at Six Flags. And no one knows ehat shapiro looks like.

Cedar Fair- Dick Kinzel is too old to have a reality show

Busch Parks- A subsidiary of Blackstone, dont know if this would have anything to do with that.

CBS probably did not approach Disney due to conflicts of Intrests.

Herschend kind of surprises me, but I would not have been suprised if it was Six Flags...

  6. I found this one. Kind of old now

You: I have one sock on

Stranger: i have no socks on

    You: why?

    Stranger: im in my bed

You: oh, that makes sense. I don't wear socks in bed either

    Stranger: where do you live

    You: Canada (woot woot!!)

Stranger: we kicked ur a$$ in hockey b*tch

Stranger: and we hate hockey here

You: I don't watch Hockey, so it's ok

Stranger: we are officially better than you at everything

    Stranger: FACT

You: I'M SORRY I COULDN'T HEAR YOU OVER MY HEALTH CARE PLAN.

    Your conversational partner has disconnected.

    Ohh. SALT!!!
