Even the one where the giant clown tried to eat you? That was the best part!! And that Ibis was HANDS DOWN the worst hotel i have ever stayed in. The stench of feces in my room was terrible! Honestly that 6 hours we spent there was the worst! When we go back to get this credit, in and out in one day!

I really liked these 2 parks. Both well themed, and staff was very helpful. I totally think the ride op would of let us on if his boss had not walked by....... i didnt even realize i was offering him a months salary until later (which was only about $30 if i remember correctly). The one think i liked about all these parks were they actually had shirts! until i got home and the one from Batu actually melted in the Dryer.......

How to make a mega trip cheaper?
technfxrick replied to Tanks4me05's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
When i have done mega trips (though i have never done anything this long by myself) i find that if you plan too much it takes the fun out of it. Now i give myself a "rough" itinerary, and then if i hit bad traffic and dont get in until 4AM, i am not driving myself crazy keeping to some crazy schedule. I also dont book hotels more than a day or 2 out. Most times (unless i am getting a great discount) i book day of. Then if i am getting tired i can adjust as needed. I have all the major hotel apps on my phone, and so after finding a good deal i just check trip advisor to make sure its not sketchy. In the grand scheme of things this is not going to cost HUGE amounts more, but will save your sanity. Good luck! looks like a killer of a trip. -

That to me is the single most annoying thing about this hobby (And the reason i dont get on the boards much anymore). My top 10 is my top 10. I dont care if your top 10 has 4 Wacky Worms, 3 Dragon Wagons, and Goudirix in it. i voiced my opinions about the ride. Those opinions were shared by others that i was with today, and other people who were there today thought differently. Number 1 thing is GET DOWN THERE AND RIDE IT!!! the park built it so people will spend money on admission, food, merchandise. Sadly, most enthusiasts dont do this. We buy season passes, eat food outside the park, and may buy a T-Shirt. WE ARE NOT THE PARKS TARGET AUDIENCE. Just because i didnt like it, i dont think anyone in Carowinds PR is crying over it. I am sure they will see a sizable bump in attendance over this, and thats what a BUSINESS wants. I hate all this well i watched the POV and i thought __________________. Quit your bitching, get in a car/plane and go ride it. I try to ride every new ride in the US every year, only after i ride it do i voice my opinion. -

I'm not trying to start a back and forth but how can you say there is no airtime in the first line but then go on to say riding in the back produces more airtime? Your opinion is just that and I wouldnt try to sway it but that's kinda a contradiction in itself. Maybe i should of said, for the size coaster there is very little airtime. I counted 3 pops of floater airtime over the ~6600' of track, to me that is not a-lot. Back row though you did have some nice floater air coming down the drop, which i didnt feel in the front. It just felt like it could of been so much more, and that was what was disappointing. -

I'm not sure I've seen a new coaster receive so many totally contrasting reviews. I do find it interesting that the more positive reviews are coming from far less seasoned riders. Kind of justifies two things: 1. This ride really IS meant more for the "general public" (which is not a negative thing) and 2. Seasoned riders are harder to impress. (In a way, kind of a bad thing, but I can relate.) Been interesting reading through all the vastly different reviews of the ride. I think Raging Bull is a better Hyper/Giga from B&M, but the best Hyper/Giga is still i305, and i thought Thunder Dolphin was a better ride than this! And before anyone calls me an Intamin Fan Boy, Nemesis is in my top 10 steel... But the rest are pretty much Intamin, RMC, and Mack... -

I was there today, and was the one that posted about it being a speed machine, but No airtime. I re-rode the ride 4 more times after that, including front row, back row, and in the middle. I stand by what i said. The front row is great, you can really feel the wind in your face and can totally tell it is a speed monster. The back, yes you get a lot more airtime, but it is still nothing compared to its 20' shorter cousin 5 hours to the north, and the rattling back there was BAD. The middle, well i might as well of been riding a mine train. With that said, is it a HUGE marketing piece for the park. Yes. Does the park look great with the refresh. Yes. I really like how they redid the entire area, the last time i was at Carowinds was for the opening on Intimidator, but it seemed like in addition to new bathrooms with the coaster, they had also redone all the walkways leading up to the coaster, and painted all the rides around Fury (this may have been done before, but it still made it look really nice). The food was also phenomenal, and if this is the new standard that CF is going to be putting out in Theme park food that is a HUGE plus. Overall, the speed doesnt do it for me as much as air-time. I would rather ride a 100' tall Mega-Lite than this thing. I guess being the "jaded enthusiast type, who has ridden every B&M in the US" yes, i did expect more for 25 million. We rode Intimidator after this, and i thought it was a more thrilling ride. I didnt watch the POV before this, so i tried to go in with a relatively open mind (and even just a few hours beforehand had posted on FB i hoped this was more the surprise like Banshee). I guess i would rather see more Outlaw Run's, Mega-Lites, and the type in the world. Pretty sure you could buy a Mega-Lite and have RMC redo the train wreck that sits right next to Fury for 25 Milllion. -

Great Report guy's! I used to go to Blackgang Chine as a kid every year (which is probably why my memory is skewed as to how big the island is). Feel like i need to go back and see how it is now. I remember they used to have a life sized chutes and ladders game on the cliff that i loved playing. Sadly i think it fell into the ocean -
