Gerstlauer or Maurer?
PaulMartz37 replied to PaulMartz37's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I'm thinking "no," as we've closed similar threads in the past. How about I just move it to "Random, random, random"? Would that be appropriate? -
Gerstlauer or Maurer?

^ LMAO you got that bro Thanks for the responses everyone. You've got a point but just look at Maurer's website. http://www.maurer-rides.de/ It really seems like they are trying to do more. You know, with the LEDs and the option to choose your own music. They are also trying to improve their rider capacity. The rides Ive been seeing from Gerstlauer have in fact better theming than any of Maurer's, but their rides seem very similar. Saw - awesome idea. Falcon - they even put detail into the supports. But both aren't much different from the original Eurofighters. BUT, who am I to criticize a company's style? -

Graduating in a week! Staying close to home and going to FIU which is practically a community college down here. Majoring in mechanical engineering but considering architecture even though my mom thinks it's a horrible idea. >.< Hoping to take a graduation trip to Sea World to hit up Manta but I might just wait for Rockit to open up as well ;] Anyone else planing trips? -
Gerstlauer or Maurer?

Mmm, if no one really responds between today and tomorrow, Ill trash it. My apologizes. -
They both have thier own interesting designs. Maurer - so incredibly creative even though they have their fair share of fails. Gerstlauer - creative with with way less fails. IMO, Maurer ftw. Their designs are extremely interesting (i.e. Rockit's loop) Gerstlauers are super cute though. I have yet to ride any major coaster from either company so I would really like to hear feedback from anyone and everyone else!

My guess: the station will have a unloading area very near to the entrance (exit) of the ride and a loading are right after to give the riders time to close the harness and choose their songs. As for the speed of the 'people mover,' the speed we've been seeing on the lift seems to be appropriate for loading guests on and off. OH YEAH There is still a MONTH of testing to go. Enough time to train the operators. Actually, going back to a picture post from Grad Bash, they may already be training.

Indeed it is! I just found this pic, along with a whole mess of others, at Orlando Rocks. The top is flat so it definitely has the selection buttons, or screen, what ever it is. And those MUST be the LEDs! Here's the link to Orlando Rocks: http://www.orlandounited.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10&page=61

The "Preview" Thread

^ Super cool looking supports in the first pic. It seems as though it could be a little less than sturdy but muchos kudos bro. Be sure to upload the track when you're done! -

I think the pic got a lil warped. This, though, IS a funky corkscrew from a coaster that's been on hold for a LONG time. -

Here's a B&M floorless that started off as my first Elementary track. After completely failing at the tool I decided to hand make it. It's also the first coaster I'll be uploading with all custom supports along with a custom station that was NOT made using catwalks. I call it Fireball, but wouldn't mind a better name. Any suggestions? First half of the ride Second half of the ride (Notice the queue) -
When I was at Universal during Grad Bash there were workers welding at 12 AM so they're literally working around the clock to get this thing completed in time. I am spectacle as to how they are going to finish Hogwarts as it seems much more massive than the already massive concrete box they've put up. It would be a bummer if all of the details on top were just for show

This pictures are about 2 weeks old now. I took them during Grad Bash. It looked amazing right above the walkway. The supports needed some painting Shone's track: very interesting They still had the car clearance The stage looked even better at night Notice how the MCBS isnt anywhere near the stairs! o.0

Six Flags Magic Mountain Terminator Salvation: The Ride
PaulMartz37 replied to robbalvey's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Er, the trains look like they belong on an indoor spinning coaster, like The Dark Knight rides. But they're probably look better once all the props are up and especially after walking through the queue and preshow. Any thoughts on if they've add lights for effect when riding at night? That would be pretty interesting. This may not be relevant but I know that this is the first Terminator of a new trilogy. Is it possible that the ride will tie not only into Salvation but possibly the other movies? -
