  1. alright, I see. Well this is better and bigger then the only other out-door water park near it (Roseland Waterpark) so that is cool. They're not including the old slide complex into the water park? Also this gives the a means to bumb ticket and season pass prices up $4, but for what they're putting in it's worth it. This would have been the year though to put up the stand-up. New attractions for the waterpark and rides section? HUGE crowd drawer. Also I think it weird they are just talking about this now.
  2. so this is a separate park now? Also why would they close flood gate falls? It was a great attraction. Why take it out if it's working and gets riders? I can't see the park working with separate parks. $10 for ride entry? I might go to the water park the first time, but after that all rides for me!
  3. are they keeping the old slide complex? also I think this may mean they will never put up the stand-up. if it were going to happen, woulda happened
  4. It's interesting to see the new restraints and 4-across seating. Step way up from a slc.
  5. I love that style of spinning mouse, I just rode my first one last year a a family park that I've over looked forever. Those rides are almost as fun as any hyper coaster
  6. I how it happens. I do wish as far as the water-park they'd bring back the down-hill lazy river. They didn't run it all last year and before then it was only off and on it ran. It has to be my favorite water ride.
  7. If you need a good laugh check our godarienlake.com. I love how on some of the pages the have the outline of The incredible hulk coaster on the top(like the homepage) also how long do you think the name OCC moto coaster will last befor it become generic motor cycle coaster. The shows done so does the name really help the ride too much anymore? Well besides the nice bike they built for the park imao there would be no reason to re-new or extend any current contracts.
  8. I have to agree, things looked better for Darien Lake after it was sold. They added a new ride (first one since shipwreck falls I'm pretty sure) and they made the park nicer. Even did track work on Predator. Even when RoS was having problems and only had one train even on the tracks last year they ran the ride very well and kept the lines moving. After six flags left, the wait time for RoS went WAY down. I think we could see simular stories if we saw a new operator fo KK. Maybe PARC is one of those operators?
  9. According to Wiki( of coarse not always right ) This whale was in shows, but not when trainers were in the water. He did the splashing in the belive shows.
  10. I think that while it looks bad, I think Six Flags really would have added the expansion to the waterpark if they didn't close the park
  11. My favorite park! Viper has to be my 2nd best steel coaster (sorry, but noth'n beats the combination of air-time and water the RoS has) and is most likely the coaster I've ridden the most due to the usual walk-on wait time. I hope that they get a new ride soon though. Also on a side note is the yellow train still usable? I was wondering cus I believe it's been in the under-ground storage shed under the station for a WHILE or is it a parts donor? Also I do agree with I'd rather ride predator the mind eraser. I remember way back (like 8 years ago?) when the ride was pretty good. I think it is pretty bad right now. It could use a nice "accidental" fire so it can be replaced by a GCI.
  12. To all those wondering about unknown coaster at darienlake, as of last year is is still there, hopefully it will bust people's nuts once again in the near future and won't just be scraped
  13. They had to destroy a park to get the floor-less I saw this as a positve when six flags sold to Parc, my homepark got it's first coaster in 8 years and it's been better overall with more deals and a cleaner park. They did take out my favorite water slide though Down hill lazy river RIP They really milked it for the rides and wanted a waterpark only attraction, but then that back-fired with a crap season
  14. Well yesterday I went to Darein Lake in Darein Center NY. The park hasn't been up to everyone standards for a while and this year was no differnt. Most of the coasters were running 1 train and some bushes needed a trim. Also some of the staff was very slow. I have to say the crew on Superma... I mean Ride of Steel was very fast though. 15. you're right, it's not the best park ever, and predator is bad, but is getting smoother. Viper does show it's age, last visit it was closed half the day. Ride of steel does rule, and yes the slc and boomerang are just that. A slc and a boomerang, but they both are awesome because of the water effects. It really as far as coasters go not that great, but the park has a nice old-time feel to the park. I really like it and think it is getting better every year[now that six flags isn't wrecking the park anymore]
  16. Yeah, those are the parks I was thinking of. I really want to get to six flags great adventure. I'm just in the planing stages now. This would be a summer trip. I REALLY want to ride Kinda Ka and the rest of the coasters there.
  17. This park is a great park! Viper is a classic ride! It also has a nice short line. I ride it at least 10 times when I vist. The tunnel is epic on it.
