I have passes for Six Flags, Universal & Busch Gardens. I work for CF so thats basically a free pass and have tons of friends at Disney so thats always free as well.

It's amazing what a new train can do to a ride built in 1996. It feels like a brand new coaster.I too find it amazing the the GP is really talking about this coaster but to them it is new not a coaster built in 1996. Just wait till next year. Then the GP and enthusiast will really start talking.

Carolina Cobra @ Carowinds. Media Day.

I think once other parks see the sucess with this one we might start to see more coming. Just depends if the parks want to pay for the new train. I could be wrong but i thought i overheard the new Cobra train was $1 Million at media day.

Well maybe the best boomerang i have ridden. The one with just a lap bar looks awesome. I wish Carowinds would have purchased that train.

Thanks. I was shocked at how smooth this ride was. It really rode like a brand new steel coaster. Major kudos to Vekoma. The seats are so comfy you feel so relaxed and have tons of room. No headbanging at all. It's impossible to bang you head and the only little bump you feel is heading into the cobra roll fowards. The rest of the ride is as smooth as glass. Carolina Cobra is by far the best Boomerang out now. Hopefully other parks decide to purchase the new train so everyone can feel how amazing Boomerangs can be. A BIG thanks to Dani, Bart and everyone else who put this amazing media event together. Also a huge thanks to Vekoma for putting together an amazing train. Now lets start planning that 2010 coaster media event.

Cobra looked amazing at night! Wilson from Fox News Rising Cobra all lit up Media! I like this shot! Cobra Roll. The lifts. Loop action! Hmmm. Where is everyone? The tent was almost as big as the coaster. New coaster. New palm trees. New banners! lol. Pretty palm trees! Cobra in Ice! I tried to take this home but it was just a little too heavy I'm hungry. New Cobra train I like this picture. Cobra sign again. Awwww.... Such a pretty bow! Nicktoons shaking their booty More booty shaking Welcome! They even rolled out the red carpet for me!!! Nice band.

I really have to get to HW this year but mainly for Raven & Legend but Pilgrims Plunge looks crazy. I'm almost a little scared to ride that but the fear is what makes it that much more intresting.

Afterburn or Thunder Road will be my first ride of the 2009 season.

It looks ok but all the merchendise packed in there looks horrible and was a dumb idea. Kids are going to want their parents to buy that stuff and the parents will just get fed up and stop takeing their kids there. Oh...... and the prices are extremely too high. I don't see this lasting long and just put SF that much more in debt. I'll stick with Supercuts.

A nice new coaster just might be what helps sell the park quicker. I honestly think CF was pushing the new coaster at CGA just so they could sell it a year or so later. I think CGA would sell very quickly without a new coaster cause i honestly think CGA is doomed. Cedar Fair will get as much as they can for the land and ship the rides off to other parks and i believe it will close after this season. WOF and VF may take another year or so to sell but could go just as quickly. I would really hate to see WoF & VF sold but we all should know what CGA's fate is and should have know for a long time.

Carowinds has had 5 owners in it's 37 years of operation. Hopefully CF will be the last owner. 1: Carowinds Corperation. 2: Family Leisure Centers Inc. 3: Kings Entertainment Company. 4: Paramount. 5: Cedar Fair.

I think with the sale of CGA, VF and WOF and selling a ton of land in Canada and elsewhere they could easily knock a huge chuck of that debt off. It also helps cause they can just send CGA's rides throughout the chain as new additions for the next 2-3 years knocking off more debt. I think it's a smart move and a great idea for looking into this option.

They have to pay for all these Hypers their dropping in parks somehow. Or they need cash so they can drop a few more hypers.
