I think testing starts this thursday or friday once we get out of the 30's and 40's. It's supposed to be in the high 60's to low 70's this friday, sat and sunday so i'd expect we'll see testing all day or most of it.

Good question. I didn't even think of that. It should be the same since riders will have the vest like restraint over their chest.

After working rides at Carowinds for years i can get a good idea what rides people may have problems on. Afterburn has wider seats in rows 2-6 so if you don't think you can get into a regular B&M invert seat try those and you should be ok. Every other ride at Carowinds would be ok as well but i'm just guessing cause i can't see you. I also have no idea how the new Vekoma seats are on Cobra but they look very spacious.

Nope. Just stateing facts. Keep telling yourself you have not been to Carowinds. We all know your there every day. It's very sad really but i don't judge.

Major props to Universal for fixing up that area. It looked so bad and the new stage looks amazing.

This is one mean looking woodie. My October 2010 trip to Cali is looking better and better. By then there should be another coaster up at SFMM!!!!

Well the contractor slipped up 2-3 days ago and posted the plans for the coaster online and within 20 min they were taken down but not before a few people got to see them. I'm going to keep quiet cause i have a good relationship with alot of people at the park and they all read this site. But i did say a few people got to see them so i honestly think its a matter of time now before the cat is out of the bag. I'm just not going to be the one to let it out. I hate cats

Me either. Or atleast this boomerang that i rode years ago. I'll be more than happy to bid for a seat on the Hyper next year at Carowinds.

Cobra will open March 28th with the park.

I'm just happy this park will have a second chance. It should do very well now with season pass prices cut in half as well as the ticket price drop. Now they just have to advertise the heck out of it so people will come.

I think this is funny but its going to charity so i hope they make some money. I'm not bidding cause i can ride it later for free.

That would be awesome if Carowinds could get their trains back. I wonder if the trains still say E.P.H as in Earl Patterson Hall. He founded Carowinds.
