Goliath at SFMM
Crazy4Coasters! replied to crispy's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I personally love goliath. The drop is pretty good. Its one of those drops that is you close your eyes and open them you think you're at the bottom but instead you're half way there. I also love the helix...its pretty intense. 8) -
Knott's Trip Report: 5/14/05

^ Thanks for the info and thanks for the birthday mention. Have a great day you guys! 8) -
Well I wanted to post a trip report of my trip of Knott's and here it goes... (please keep in mind this is my first trip report so please show some pity... ) My last day of being a teenager was spent at Knott's and it was great i might add... We arrived at 10:30am and went to Fiesta Village first. (By the way the T.G.I.F. is cominh along pretty good!) We got on Montezooma's Revenge and the line was about 5 mins long The ride operators very very friendly and they introduced a newbie to the publc. They anounced it over the speakers that he work in Jack in The Box and Work his way to Knott's... They way he said it was very funny at the time. Later we headed to Jaguar just to ride it and the line was also 5 mins longs. They were running two trains by the way. After that we headed for Supreme Scream and there were two towers working. The line was about 10 mins and woke me up for Xcelerator... But sadly they had it down for maintance from 12pm to around 6pm. That's the only thing that made this almost a perfect day. We then decided to go to Big Foot Rapids for a quick splash and it was the longest line (for us at least) that was about 15 mins... Just to mention something quick, the park looked really clean and tidy. Considering it was a Saturday the park was in great shape and it wasn't that full. It was great to see Knott's showing what it can bring as a great theme park... After Bigfoot we headed for Ghostrider and it was running two trains. The line was also about 15 mins long and contrary to public belief, I still think Ghostrider still has it's moments of airtime and G's... even though it's not what use to be, but it still one of the top in list. After ghostrider we headed to Silver Bullet. The ride had two trains and the dispatches were fastest I've seen on any rollercoaster in a long time. The line was 10 mins long and we sat in the very front. Silver Bullet is a very, very smooth ride but I agree that it lacks G's throughout the ride. Next time I will ride in the back and see if it has something to offer. Other than that I think Silver Bullet is a great addition to the park. And just a quick tidbite... There was a ride op the unlocked the seats after the ride and he always had a silly ritual that he did before the train stopped at the station. I don't know if anyone has seen this guy but let me know. He first cracks his knuckles, then points his fingers to the public, then he lifts himself up by the line rails and hangs for about 5 secs, later he runs in place and almost salivates when the train is aproching. When the trains stops his runs through any row he can to unlock the safety buckles and go back to his place. I saw him do this for at least 3 dispatches. I just wanted to share that with you... After bullet we headed to boomerang and the line was about 10 mins long and they were running TWO TRAINS................................................................................................Just kidding........................................................................................... After Boomerang I got on Supreme Scream again and something weird happened. Can someone please confirm with me if this has happened to you also. The first time I got on Supreme Scream I felt the airtime and the G's but the second time I rode it I was in disbelief. I rode, I think on the yellow tower facing La Palma Ave (Facing the 91 freeway) and I sat on seat 12. Like any other rider I was expecting those G's and airtime to lift me and squish me on the ride... THIS WAS NOT THE CASE. Shocking we went our usual 255 ft in the air but when we reached the top we automatically drop down! I didn't realize that we were falling in the first 1 sec of the drop. I was expecting the 5-6 sec of stillness on the top but we just drop, but thats not the bad part. When we were falling I did not feel and forces or air!!!!!!!! It felt like a very very smooth elevator going down. I was so in shocked that I asked the peron next to me if this has ever happened to them (While falling!!!) They said that they never had this happened and were as confused as me. It was weird walking off Supreme Scream and not feeling anything. Please let me know if that's normal and if anyone else has gone through that weird experience. After Supreme Scream we went to play games ate BBQ RIBS!!!! YUMMY!!! When then hit the Boardwalk for some games and lady luck was with me. I won some stuufed animals for my girlfriend and then we headed for Laser Tag. It was actually fun and the 7 1/2 they give you actually went slow for us...yeah!!!! After Laser tag we went to "Girl Power" and bought some stuff for my sister and my girlfriend. Later we ate funnel cakes and headed home. Knott's was great but the only thing that sucked was Xcelerator's down time. Other than that Knott's was really good. I have read the recent reports on Knott's and I said to myself..."That's not the Knott's that I know!" When today Knott's proved me right. The crowds were pleasant, the employess were really friendly and the entire feel of the part was excellent. It was great to spen my last day as a teenager at Knott's. I just hope anyone else that goes has a pleasant stay as me. That's all Folks!!! 8)

It will be fun to see if Mr. and Mrs. Alvey can show up too... 8)

Am not just getting it for the games but for the entertainment value it brings with it like movies, MP3, pictures, and other unmetionables that I left out. I bought mine on ebay for $230. I think of it as in an investment instead of a toy! 8) And as for the DS goes, it really can't win the PSP on a head on competition. I think Elissa gave a good point on how Nintendo usually appeals more to younger people that Sony.
