  1. "Although, since that works on a wristband and not digitally I'm not sure what a one time will look like. May just be a paper pass." (Some of?) The legacy Cedar Fair parks now have FL wristband scanners. The single shot FL is automatically added to your pass when you scan into the park. All you have to do is scan your pass at the FL merge point, and you're good to go. I've already done this a couple times at KI. TT2 is the exception; you'll need to pick up a paper ticket in the gift shop across the way.
  2. ...or their FAQs. It's important to know there will be no blockout dates in 2022.
  3. "Roadrunner is back open (finally)" ...and now has a Cedar Fair height requirement (48").
  4. ^^Nope, by power surge, I meant the park appeared to lose power briefly. All rides were down for 30+ minutes. Gully Washer was actually open, but the flume never came back up.
  5. I was just at the park on Saturday. Despite Iron Rattler being down all day and a power serge, operations were quite solid. I couldn't believe how amazing the air conditioned VIP lounge was. Free, fresh baked cookies and Coke!
  6. Meanwhile, at Kings Island, I just had grilled shrimp and brussels sprouts for dinner on Sunday.
  7. Good news from the fine print: "Knott’s Berry Farm – Gold, Texas 2 Splash, or Prestige Pass with the All Park Passport add-on is valid only for admission on any regular scheduled operating day and is not valid for entry to Scary Farm. Parking is included with the purchase of a Gold Pass and All Park Passport add-on."
  8. I would love to see Merlin take over and turn this place into Legoland, with a gondola system running all around the park.
  9. Samsung A20, Chrome All of the video thumbnails show images.
  10. The wind up at CP rarely drops below those speeds. That should not be any issue at all for Raptor. It'll probably be fine for Gatekeeper, as well, especially if it's not too cold.
  11. Even on the third day of operation (Monday), Magnum, Gemini, and Steel Vengeance had signs out saying closed all day. Maverick was down but did come up la bit later. So much for starting my afternoon visit in the back of the park, lol.
  12. ^SFoT was doing chips last year as well, even on single purchase paper cups. This allowed for free refills at self-serve fountains. I doubt that free refills was their intention... Also, if anyone is looking for the cheapest Six Flags season pass, Mexico still offers one for less than 50 USD. It gets you into "Over Texas, Fiesta Texas, Over Georgia, White Water, Frontier City, Harbor Arlington, Harbor Splash Town, Harbor OKC, Mexico, and Hurricane Harbor Oaxtepec."
  13. I will be visiting Lagoon for the first time on Sunday (4/3). Would anyone local be interested in meeting up?
  14. Park strategies: Holiday World: Avoid Halloween at rope drop. Head to Voyage then Thunderbird, instead. Ask an employee if the back entrance to the waterpark will open right at 11. If yes, use that entrance to get a jump start on the water coasters. All will get very long lines. Wildebeest's takes longer to build up, despite having lower capacity. Coaster queues will be empty mid-afternoon. Kentucky Kingdom: Unlike most parks, work front to back. Rope drop Lightning Run, as this will end up having a 30 minute queue most of the day. Thunder run only has one train, so get there early, as well. I've never had to wait more than two trains for Storm Chaser, even on weekends. Enjoy! The waterpark will be slammed. This won't be that big of a deal IF all of the slides are open. Kings Island: FL+, 'nuff said Cedar Point: Fast lanes are not available during ERT. Head to Millennium right at the start of ERT to experience the wonders of the magic gate. Food/Drink: Kentucky Kingdom has a bourbon bar with very reasonably priced flights. If you try Skyline chili (and you should), do it outside of the park (KI). Be sure to let your server know that it's your first time having it. Head to Sonder Brewing, right in Mason, for some dessert beers. Melt in Cedar Point is a chain local to Lakewood (Cleveland area). It's still not the full menu but much improved in recent years. Sit at the bar for quicker service. I highly recommend Barra tacos in downtown Sandusky!
  15. I think the fact that I was able to purchase a BGW ticket for $48.50 on a Saturday in October may have something to do with it. In September of 2019, I paid $69.50. That's quite the discount they're offering this year!
