  1. Just because the park doesn't get a lot of money invested in it doesn't mean it can't be a pleasant place to visit though. I never said that. I LOVE this park and will miss living near it now that I live in TX. I used to be friends with management at the park and they know it will more then likely never get treated like Great Adventure does with getting new one of a kind rides.
  2. Depends on which one you get. There are 3 levels - regular, gold and platinum. I always try to go for platinum if I have the money. This way even a Saturday will be a great day at the park and not a rush. Regular - "Spend less time waiting in line! Your reservation will be equal to the current wait time." Currently about $40 at Fiesta Texas Gold - "50% FASTER! Your reservation reduces wait time by 50%". Currently about $70 at Fiesta Texas Platinum - "90% FASTER! Your reservation reduces wait time by 90%. and RIDE TWICE IN A ROW without leaving your seat". Currently about $110 at Fiesta Texas (copied them descriptions from Six Flags Fiesta Texas website)

  5. The line skippers are a luxury, its really that simple. They have come in handy for me several times. I do not live near any major parks. So when I go I only get a day or two because I have to fly, get a hotel and get a rental car. It adds up so I get the line skipper because I want to ride every coaster several times plus enjoy the flats, shows, water rides, water parks, and other various attractions. You could argue I could leave the flats and water rides out. I could but why when I get enjoyment out of them. To each their own, that is how I look at it. At Cedar Fair parks I do not think the stand by lines are as impacted as say a Six Flags park. All of the CF parks I have used FL at has a separate line that takes you right into the station. Does this hinder the SB line at all? Potentially. However, I do not think its a lot. Now at SF the two lines have crossing points where an employee stands there and lets both lines go through at separate times. I think this adds to the SB line a lot more or at least adds a feeling of a longer line mentally because you see all of these people going ahead. If there were no such things as line skippers I believe the lines would still be long especially at parks like CP, SF Great Adventure, Disney, etc. These are popular parks and people love to go to them. Now this is just my opinion.
  6. Inside Out - Britney Spears
  7. My first car was a 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier. I have moved on to better from there
  8. ^ I could not agree with you more. Religion has nothing to do with politics. At least that is how I think. When you are a politician you have to leave all personal feeling out of things and decide things based on the best for the people. I recently moved to TX and I have not ran into any issues yet with being me and open with who I am. But it does not help that I work for a very gay friendly company, work in Houston, and live near College Station. I know if I go into the really rural areas I could run into issues.
  9. Nope to none. I rather spend my money on other things - like TPR trips. I do not see the point of buying a new version of an electronic as soon as it comes out.
  10. Scream, Paranormal Activity, Saw, Final Destination, Look Who's Talking
  11. THIS! This park is never going to SF Great Adventure or even SFMM and the chain knows that now. They will keep shuffling things around at their less money making parks and keep investing in their parks that makes money. Its really that simple.
  12. That entrance looks nice. I just moved to Texas and plan on getting to the park this summer a couple times.
  13. I went 4th of July weekend this past summer and did not run into them problems. I was able to ride every coaster minus the runaway train several times. The only issues we ran into were they completely shut the coasters down in the littlest bit of rain and Maverick kept breaking down. Other than that their operations were awesome and the Fast Lane lines always went fast. I'll take a 15-20 minute wait over a 3 hour one anytime. When I went both MF and Gatekeepr had 3+ hour waits. That person is knit picking the process/program. There is virtually no one to never wait in some sort of line unless you are the ONLY person that buys a Fast Lane the whole day. Their program is WAY BETTER than Six Flags program (in my opinion). If you hated this then I can imagine what you have to say about Six Flags and their Q-bot system. Not only do you have to wait in a separate line you have to come back at a specific time they specify. You waited an over an hour for a ride. How long was the stand by line? Probably a lot more, and if it was not then why didn't you just go get in the stand by line if it was going faster? I am sorry but if I wait an hour in a Fast Pass line and have that EXTRA 2 hours to ride another ride or two instead of waiting 3 hours in a stand by line. That right there makes it worth it! I ran into this same issue at Six Flags La Ronde. When I was there with TPR we had the Q-Bots and got in line for their SLC. We ended up waiting about 45 minutes to an hour and I was happy because the stand by line was 2+ hours. So right there I gained about an hour to ride another ride.
  14. The 1 - Janet Jackson
  15. I may have to hold off this year between flights, hotel, and rental car it adds up fast. Still thinking about either Valleyfair or Worlds of Fun since they are the closest to Houston that I have not been to yet.
  16. I am obsessed with horror movies and this one looks interesting in my opinion... It is called Oculus. [youtu_be] [/youtu_be]
  17. Cleanin' Out My Closet - Eminem
  18. I understand the one train operations. However, during Fright Fest the lines can get to an hour or more for the more popular coasters. This place gets extremely crowded for Fright Fest.
  19. It sucks not living near a Cedar Fair park because I love this event. I am pondering the idea of flying to either Valleyfair or Worlds of Fun.
  20. Miss Movin On - Fifth Harmony
  21. ^ I am with you there. I honestly like SFA. Is it the best? No, not even close. However, I always have lots of fun when I go. The rides are not terrible and it has a SLC - one of my favorite kind of coasters (go ahead and give me all the crap you want). In the past few seasons they have really cleaned up the park which I love. I used to live about 50 minutes away so it was easy to get there and then I would spend the evening in DC. They do have a decent water park. I think Dorney has a better one and its only 2.5 hours away. This is the kind of park you have to take with a grain of salt and accept it for what it is. You can not go in with high expectations. I used to love going with a few friends and we would just take our time and enjoy the time spent together. Sadly I moved to Texas 2 weeks ago and the closet past to me is Kemah/Pleasure Pier. I would rather live closer to SFA than them. They are small and mostly carnival style rides. The woody at Kemah is a GREAT coaster in my opinion though
  22. I agree. It was the first Horror film remake to scare me (I'm looking at you Texas Chainsaw 3D, Halloween 1/2, Friday The 13th, and Nightmare On Elm Street) I really like Texas Chainsaw 3D. It may not be scary but I really like the story line and how it ends. Leaving lots of room for another. I just watched Lovelace for the first time and I really enjoyed it. I wasn't sure how believable Amanda Seyfried was going to be as a porn star since I always see her playing these safe roles. I was surprised in a good way. She is such a good actress in my opinion and I think she pulled this role off well. I loved the cameos by James Franco and Adam Brody. I am very intrigued by Linda's story and I plan on seeing if the library has her book. If you want to see a non-safe Amanda Seyfried role, Watch Chloe. I have seen that and I thought it was bad. But that is my opinion.
  23. I think the Great White is a great coaster. I was glad I bought the unlimited bracelet when I was there because I rode it about 10 times. Also the SLC there is probably my favorite one. The restraints are comfortable and sitting in the front was fun because it feels like you are going to run right into all of the supports.

  25. ^ I agree David. I hate how pathetic we are as a society. In 20-30 years the next 2 generations are going to look back and laugh at us. Society is focusing on the wrong things simply because they do not understand and do not want to take the time to understand.
