Sorry TheBannedKid, your kinda 1/2 wrong about the Premiere for PC, FCP for Mac. Originally Premiere was developed for both Mac and PC, and up until OSX came out ran on both systems. Then FCP came out and blew the Mac Premiere users away and not so many people purchased it for mac anymore. Premiere has since only been in production for the PC format and while it is a very reasonable product (I learnt to edit on Premiere 6.5) it has nowhere near the scope of Avid or FCP anymore. There are quite a number of differences between Premiere and FCP, one of the main differences being they way that each program handles effects and the actual rendering of files. Another major difference is the way files are handled and the way they are imported. The editing interface is also very different and FCP comes with multiple "external" programs that allow you to create titles, music tracks, manage 8, 16 and 35mm film that you are using in a project and a "control" centre for the export of video and film projects from FCP. I would in no way say that Premiere and FCP are almost exact copies of each other.

I have a Sony DCR-VX2100...has been great but is now getting a bit too "consumerish" for me. Next one I get will probably be the Canon HL1 (http://www.canon.com.au/products/visual/cameras/cameras_video/xlh1.html). If only it didnt have the $13,999 price tag I would have it now! It is miniDV that is compredd to about 25mb/sec, not sure about dvc-pro, but HDV is compressed to about the same as miniDV, but (usually) gets decompressed to some degree as soon as you import it into you computer. I have about 50 iPods, varying from the ACTUAL original 5GB model (not the "original" 15GB models, those are 3rd gen ones guys) to iPod 2nd gens (the 10GB ones, that also functiond with windows as well as mac) to 3rd gen iPods (they are the 15GB ones) to the iPod clickwheels (the ones that look the same as the photos, but only have a colour screen) to iPod photos to iPod vidoes to iPod mini 1st gens to iPod mini 2nd gens to iPod nanos to iPod shuffles. I dislike working in the service department of an ASP, iPods like breaking too much, even down here in aus (PS, I actually own an iPod photo 30GB, been running strong for just over a year now, no proplems with it whatsoever)

Umm, no considering its like a 17,000 first car! I was looking at a Mazda6, but the insurance is a bit too high. Shouldnt be too high for a 4cyl 4door car with a body kit. Not like the kit makes it GO any faster. Nor does it make me drive faster. Oh well. Ill just keep holding onto my ever depriciating 99 Alero GL. Last time I checked, Im going to lose about 1500 on a trade-in. Probably be more in a year. Its actually $28,000 (I am an aussie......damn exchange rate!) All I can say is thanks to my parents

I am on a Powermac G5 atm, had it for just over 12 months, loving it. Parents just got a Powerbook G4, they are loving it, and are getting another one soon for mum, cause she likes dads too much and wont stop using it, lol! My only problem with a mac is the higher price than a PC, but it makes up for that in the time that I save while doing work, cause I dont have to worry about crashes and viruses (you dont need any anti-virus software for mac, cause viruses MUST be manually installed on mac, no program can autorun unless the user tells it to, unlike PC). If your in for alot of work, and a little bit of play, go for mac. If you just wanna play games, and only do a little bit of work, go PC. This is just my oppinion, so dont be afraid to deviate from it, or challenge me! Have fun laptop hunting!

Hey Elissa, have a look at the stats now...there are 3 lesbians!!! Guy who likes guys, and pretty proud of it (I am even going on a calander for the local youth drop in center next year, cant wait to see it!!!) I am thinking that will be a hard one to explain to the parents if they see that one though...I aint out to them cause I never get to see them being at a boarding school and all. (but it is all guys, so I can have some fun with my school life!)
