Carowinds is my home park and I love it to death (really like everyone else in the Charlotte area). I wouldn't mind a boomerang at Carowinds because head-banging dosent annoy me all that much to be honest. I think that it won't annoy the GP, and these things are VERY easy to advertise, so more the GP likes it, the more people will come, the more $$ Dicky makes and MAYBE they'll believe in us and give us a REAL coaster.

I guess what I mean is it's 'Cedar Fair' identity...I know Carowinds isnt in the shitter QUITE yet, but I know it would be 10x better if Paramount would've given them to anyone else, even Independent investors.

Carowinds being my home park, let me stick up for it a little bit. -You won't find to many B&M Stand Ups that don't stack or have long dispatch times. -Nighthawk has vehicle malfunctions on a daily basis, so when it "broke down" it was a malfunction on the loading dock, and you can't use a broken train, can you? -The blandness? Blame it on Paramount. It created a movie style park and it wasn't too shabby during it's tenure, but Cedar Fair was forced to take it all away, making it themeless (Other than Nick Central, the boardwalk and sort of the County Fair). But Carowinds used to be themed to important history of the Carolinas, bringing North and South Carolina closer together. It used to have a cool main street (Was torn out for that crappy looking stage at the front PARAMOUNT). BORG used to be home to the Carolina Queen, a cool ship really secluding it from being bland, and it once took you to "Smurf Island", a cool island themed to the Smurf TV Show, so about 10-ish years ago, Carowinds was a REALLY cool park, and 4 years ago, it was pretty cool too. Cedar Fair took Carowinds and made it a generic, worth nothing park. -The Umbrellas? Idk, always been there. And Thunder Road is being totally rebuilt. Carowinds is a Cedar Fair park in training, give it another year or so and it should get it's identity.

Well, I like to see Charlotte as the entire Metro region, since there are no major cities in the near vicinity, so technically its around 1,600,000. But, you make a good point, the Charlotte-Fort Mill area of Carowinds isn't exactly a beautiful area, but the point was that Carowinds contacted police, the police didn't roll up by themselves.

Well, major is New York and Chicago....Charlotte is easily the fastest growing city in America right now, so I would call it somewhat major. But let's not go back and forth, hah.

Since it became the top banking city in the south. Also, gimme a break...these people were most likely not white males, and to be honest it's just descrimination. More details will probably be released on this and either I or anyone else in Charlotte will release any infomation. But at this point, there really ISNT a "full" story.

Fox Charlotte reported two men were arrested for "suspicious activities" which included taking photos of Carowinds from outside the grounds. Officials confiscated their camera and also found photos of downtown Charlotte buildings. News Link: http://www.myfoxcharlotte.com/myfox/ And CMPD "obviously" has nothing better to do. If bull**** like this keeps going on with pointless arrests in my home town, serious crimes will grow in Charlotte. I would understand a group of men taking pictures..or something of that sort...but this is rediculous, now people can't take pictures of Charlotte's landmarks and it's signature amusement park without being ridiculed or arrested, I'm dissapointed in this, very dissapointed.
