  1. I'd like the Innoventions building filled with Animatronics creatures, singing, and some type of system to move the audience while still seated.
  2. That's it. SFMM needs to build a canal connecting the park to the Pacific Ocean.
  3. I envision the queue line entrance for Twisted Colossus to be rather tame. I think the line should lead to a room where riders are greeted by a giant Buddha via special effects. Then the line goes out into a maze leading to a room where bright lights flicker fast off and on giving the illusion that people are moving about like robots. After they exit the building they wait out the rest of the line being entertained by old warner brothers cartoons on CRT displays mounted above. Of course the screens will be protected by plexiglass that are scratched up and hard to see during daylight. Old chewing gum stuck to various places will be a key feature of the line. Also, for the hot days, two water drinking fountains will be in line where people can have another place to throw/stick their gum. One fountain will have water drizzling out and the other one will shoot water at people standing 10 feet away. The line will also have mist sprays that will be so weak that a 5mph wind will blow it out towards the parking lot leaving no cooling effect for those in ine. Every 10 minutes, the cartoons will be interrupted by a Boy George video of Karma Chameleon. At the end of the line, riders will get the choice to wait for the ride to be fix, a coupon to return to the front of line later, or a coupon for 10 percent off merchandise at the Twisted Colossus gift shop.
  4. On another note, I am glad that Six Flags is starting to do Dark Rides in their park. Hopefully they do it right and Magic Mountain will get one in the future.
  5. From the 3 minute video I see the same color train on different colors of the track. Maybe means nothing.
  6. How did that happen? Did the mechanic eat your car? Or was it some unnatural act? Not that there is anything wrong with that.
  7. Can the Waterpark be accessed from that point also? They would have to put in some type of "main street" for gift shops and food stands. It could be grand if they did not do it on the cheap. Also an entrance there would give better access to both sides of the park. I am sure that would save on trams and it also opens the "old entrance" to expansion opportunities. Not going to happen.
  8. This is flat terrain. Any new ride will have the majority of the track and parts pre-assembled made in factories. It won't take long to put something up, once the old coaster is removed.
  9. I'll like to see a Papa Johns and Johnny Rockets take over the Colossus spot. Do they dare to also add a Starbucks?
  10. Time for Disney to buy the park and retheme it for marvel. Put in disney style resort hotels, golf courses. Monorail from resorts to park, etc. Have a giant passenger blimp fly back and forth from Disneyland resort.
  11. Speaking of rehab, I keep walking by the Log Jammer entrance. Does anyone know when the rehab will be finished. It's strange they would have a water ride rehab during the summer. Yes, Log Jammer is supposed to re-open next week. Perhaps you mean the Rapids? Anyone have any info if that's the case? Just being silly. But I wish there was some way to put a modern flume ride in that spot again. Have the flume run right through the middle of the loop.

  13. Looks like Magic Mountain running a $6 after 6pm promotion... [youtu_be] [/youtu_be] Fireworks and a Laser Show!
  14. Looks like Wizard's Village is coming to Magic Mountain. [youtu_be] [/youtu_be] This will give Universal some competition Especially that slide.
  15. I would like a pathway from yolo plaza to the back of the park. Moving sidewalks and escalators would be better. And dreaming even bigger, I would prefer a ski lift type ride across.
  16. Thursday, got there when the park opened. Was not busy at all. The new coaster is awesome, really enjoyed it. Had about a 15 minute wait. They did not overdo the restraints on this like so many others. Goliath, no line, Little or no wait on most rides. Didn't go on X2 or Tatsu. First time on Green Hornet and that ride was painful. People who have long upper bodies like me get the wrath of the pain on these restraints. These restraints just dig into my shoulders and my head gets banged on in the padding. Superman was a surprised as I was not expecting to go backwards. Great thrill. No flash pass was necessary. I did notice some people using them, but they weren't saving too much time. I think the threat of rain may have kept some away, but after the muggy/humid morning the heat broke and it was pretty comfortable from 3pm on. I would like to see some 4-D type attractions to add variety. But know that's not going to happen. We attended the magic show. It was filled with young families, apparently many were not tall enough for the coasters. Some of the dancing was not G-Rated and more suitable for a strip joint.
  17. Going to SFMM tomorrow. 3 of us. I have never used the flash pass system. Will it be necessary tomorrow? Is it worth it? Which one should I get?. Should I get it online now or wait to get it at the park. price quoted online $269 platinum, $179 Gold and Regular: $105
  18. This is a prime spot in the park. If SFMM ever wanted to do it up right, this is the place to do it at. Whatever it is, it should be themed to the max.
  19. I wish they would make a pathway thru the log jammer area to the back of the park. But I guess that would mean moving a whole lot of dirt or a tunnel. Probably too expensive. Looks like that area could be used for an indoor coaster/dark ride. But we know Six Flags doesn't think outside the box.
