  1. Robb- I've noticed that the main forum gets tons of traffic daily (not a bad thing, don't get me wrong); It makes scrolling through to find all the new content a little bit harder. You'll notice though that much of these posting are Trip Reports, and it would really help in the organization of the site if they had their own forum. So my question is: Can we please have a trip report forum to separate news/updates/other stuff from TRs? Tracy "wants the TR's in one spot" Salas
  2. I definantly meant to vote "no" but couldn't change
  3. ^^ I interviewed for rides. Parts of Deja vu were sitting in the lot, we drove right past them and parked nearby. Couldn't get a decent shot with my cell phone as I was there for a job interview I didn't want to do anything that would look bad. Also, parts of the cobra roll were gone & they were working on it today. On a side note, mechanics were working on Iron Wolf, they were up the lift hill and were running trains midway through my interview and as I was leaving and Raging bull's paint job is looking good. looked like they were 15% done. For those wondering- I did get the job, but that's contingent on finding somewhere to stay during the season to keep it, I didn't qualify for seasonal housing because of my lack of dorm experience. So if anyone need a roommate in the Gurnee area or know someone, let me know! -Tracy
  4. I'll be at the park on the 26th (job interview!) I'll see if I can get a good look as I've never been near the HR offices so I don't know where it is relative to vu. Doubtful I'll have time to snap pics.
  5. ^Sounds very close that I'm sure it's it. Thanks for the article. The year seems close enough that it could have been only a year or two after that I saw the dilpaidated park. I vaguely remember portion of track from a roller coaster but I could be wrong.
  6. I still remember when I was really young driving from my grandma's house in Anderson, Indiana to Indianapolis when i would stay there during the summer we would pass by an amusement park that closed after someone died on a coaster there (as told by my uncle not sure if its true) but there was still a portion of a loop from a roller coaster. (I believe that is why I was afraid to ride coasters for the longest time!)
  7. Personally, I think I would much rather hit up the Wisconsin dells if given the option between the two. I live an hour away and I still never get bored there. The Disney Water parks were very uninteresting to me. (That's also assuming there were no extra costs associated with going to Disney)
  8. I'd like to see a list of the US only in addition to this.
  9. I though the ranch turned 13 and MJ lost interest in it?
  10. http://www.sixflags.com/greatAmerica/rides/Vertical_Velocity.aspx Anyone else notice anything funny about the recommended rides .
  11. We now know that they have started to dismantle Splash Water Falls. Sorry if it was common knowledge that the ride is already being torn down I assumed it would be SBNO.
  12. Hello everyone! I'm Tracy, long time reader first time poster! I just started riding roller coasters last year(I'm majorly afraid of heights) but after much pestering from friends, I rode raging bull at SFGAm - and began my love affair with roller coasters. I went back to SFGAm a couple times and scored my self a season pass this year. Other than that I am a huge aviation enthusiast and a Senior in high school.
