  1. The only way I'd like to see Flashback return to SFMM is 100 feet taller and built by Intamin
  2. I agree with all the previous posts, especially HRP/FMP. To the point of the selling/trashing of SFMM I wholeheartedly agree. Also, lets not forget the misguided focus of the park before the change of management. Sacrificing park upkeep for rides was a blunder in itself.
  3. There's so many things to be exited for in 2011, but I have to say the thing that I can't wait for the most is WCB 2011!
  4. One of the most scarring experiences of my life: So I was at Disneyland with all my friends on a school trip and I decided to go on Splash Mountain. Since the line was so long I went single-rider with a bunch of people I didn't know. The ride stopped towards the end right in the part where all the little animals sing "zippity-do-da" over, and over, and over, and over again. I was stuck in said room for 30 minutes or more with strangers listening to the most annoying song ever written. Oh and I didn't get a fast pass because "it was after the drop"
  5. My opinion: - Glad I got to ride it - Don't care if I don't get to ride it again since all the other coasters there are so much better (I'll take loch ness over bbw any day)
  6. Yeah, I failed to mention the part where my friend that was staying in the Breakers was able to get me into the early entry...it's extremely worth it.
  7. There's a cheaper hotel in the area that I stayed in. It was pretty bare minimum when it came to the actual rooms, but the thai restaurant was amazing! Since you're only staying there for a couple of nights, it might be just fine for you. By the way, do NOT go to the McDonalds on your way towards CP. It's disgusting. http://www.southshoreinn.com/
  8. To add to this, aerosmith released it's greatest hits album in 1980, the year corkscrew opened.
  9. Corkscrew at Alton towers: - located in England, where the 2012 olympics are (athens) - defunct (expired) - ever heard of the Houdini corkscrew? if not, look it up. (Houdini) - Alton towers = clock tower (time) EDIT: for those too lazy to look up the Houdini corkscrew, heres a picture
  10. Although obvious, I'm going with Time Machine at Freestyle Music Park. "time" is in the name time machine and also who wouldn't want to make a random reference to the most successful park ever created? Also, ernierocker=rock=music=freestyle music park
  11. Just to add to the comments about how forceful this beast was, my dad (who has a glass eye) had to hold it in because it was almost forced out of his eye socket. Oh and that was on the trimmed version too. I was also covered in my own spit and tears by the time I got done with that first turn. I didn't black out, but I came damn close. On a side note, it's times like these I really start loving my family in Virginia
  12. HAI THIS IS ENTRY FOR DESMOND KING FOTOSHOP CONTEST HERE IS PICTURED DESMOND KING AS TRYING TO GO TO CHINA TO SEE COASTER OF WOOD TAT IS BIGGER BUT NOT ALWAYS BETTER THAN THE BIG DIPPUR COASTER THAT I LIKE. HE MUST GO THROUGH A TUNNEL THAT HE DIG HIMSELF BECAUSE HE IS NOT ALLOWED IN THE COUNTRY OF CHINA ANYMORE. THE GHOST OF HIS BELOVD CAT MUJABUBUKINS PROTECTS HIM BY DISTRACTING THE CHINESE PEOPLE OF GUNS SINCE BULLETS CAN NOT KILL HIM (HE IS ALREADY DEAD). ALSO DRAGONS PROTECT THE SKY TO GIVE DEMOND KING BEST CHANCE OF GETTING INTO CHINA. I WOULD MAKE LAUGHY FUNNY CAPTION BUT I DID THINK OF NOTHING
  13. Awesome pics! It makes me want to trek out to Sandusky again, but I think I'll stay in sunny SoCal for the winter
  14. It kind of reminds me of when I flew across the country to go to SFGAv and KK was closed, but I still had a hell of a time doing everything else and in the end didn't really care that I didn't get to ride it. After this I'd have to say that if I ever do get to go to Dubai I won't be excited because of Ferrari World, surprisingly enough. It would just be a bonus next to all the crazy stuff there is to do there
  15. I would love nothing more than to go to Dubai. This game just strengthened it! Hey Chris, can you help me find some money for airfare?
  16. Chris already said another Magnolia Bakery location, but here they all are: NY, LA, and Dubai: http://magnoliabakery.com/find_us.php Various NY locations: http://magnoliabakery.com/find_us_new_york.php And yes, I agree with Chris that it's a cupcake (never refrigerate or freeze!) EDIT: Chris said it's on Bleeker street, but it's really on Bleecker street so he's wrong I guess
  17. Me too! Is Chroniq the only one left playing now? I have to be honest, it's a little disappointing to us that so many people seem to have given up. Part of the fun of this thread is hearing what everyone's thinks. If people stop playing, we are just going to assume that TPR isn't interested in something like this and we just won't do it again in the future. If you all are bored with it, that's fine, just tell us and we'll stop... --Robb "A little bummed..." Alvey I thought about it so hard earlier that I've gone completely brain-dead. I'll try again soon, I just have to get caught up on all the pictures and which ones have already been located first
  18. Well, I tried my best to defend Australia, but it looks as if I have been put to shame. Oh well, onto the next challenge....
  19. I think I might have cracked this picture. Is it that the color for a 7th wedding anniversary is off-white? See the blanket
  20. I wouldn't doubt it. I found a lot of clues hinting towards that. Are there any cruises going from Dubai to Australia? The picture with the girls might hint at a cruise since they are looking at an ocean. Let me answer my own question: http://www.destination360.com/middle-east/united-arab-emirates/cruises "Cruises to Dubai can be arranged from many ports around the world. Dubai cruise ships are often modern and luxurious and brimming with many lavish amenities and services. Tourists can take cruises to Dubai from Australia, Africa, London, Los Angeles, Hong Kong and Bahrain. There are also many other world wide cities offering cruises to Dubai with a host vacation packages to choose from. Options include anything from one week UAE cruises up to 30 nights and more. Dubai cruise ships offer a variety of cabins, from simple rooms to deluxe suites, to choose from. Most Dubai cruises include some or all meals as well as wide array of activities to enjoy and interesting port stops."
  21. I a I actually had that idea earlier today! haha To lfdlt2, that's a great catch. If that's what it is, you win in my book.
