Man, that sucks. I'm sorry they gave you locals false hope for like... 2 days? Maybe you'll get another chance in the spring but I highly doubt it's going to clear out of the red/orange during or shortly after the holidays. As it is, my family doesn't know if there are going to be statewide travel bans and I might not be able to come home for Christmas for the first time in a long time.

Welcome to the new TPR Forum!

I honestly don't have any complaints or suggestions, I just came here to say great job! I'm sure it was a TON of work but it looks great and it hasn't been too difficult to navigate. From what I've seen so far, there are way more features with the new forum and it's way more user friendly! I've been using the old forum since... 2007? And I usually don't like it when social media platforms change but I think this will be much, much better. The old methods made making TRs SUPERRR tedious but I think the new method will be a LOT easier! I'm excited to try it out! Edit: Actually, my one personal complaint is that my screen name is on two lines and everyone else's is on one. I guess it's just slightly too long with the new font. Is there anything we can do to make my screen name fit on one line? -
Why would they say exclusively designed for CGA on their site, even it that was the case? Plus, technically adding the 13 feet or whatever to make the drop 300 means that it was exclusively designed for KI, even if the coaster was originally intended for CGA. I still think the timing of removing Vortex and completely clearing the land is weird. I can easily believe that the land was intended to make a longer giga and for some reason plans changed. Whether or not CGA had anything to do with the change of plans, who knows?

Speaking of CGA hyper, I heard a weird rumor yesterday. Take it with a grain of salt. My coworker's second job is at KI and he said he heard Orion was supposed to be CGA's hyper, but it ended up as KI's giga. According to my coworker, KI was originally supposed to get something much taller and more extreme. Honestly, I could easily see Orion fitting perfectly at CGA but it's underwhelming because it's at KI and we all know they *could* have gone more hardcore with it.

Got my reservation for 11:30 on the 2nd! I was hoping for an earlier reservation but hey, I don't usually get up very early anyway so maybe it's for the best. I'm also hoping they end up letting passholders go more than once if all the slots don't fill up, but I'm just glad that I can go at all! -

UGH, that's bad news for me. Non-smokers don't know how annoying that is. I bet that's going to mean more people smoking as they walk around the park, which is also annoying. I hope it'll only be temporary, because there's nothing like that calm-down smoke after a good scare in one of the houses during Haunt, and there's no reentry during Haunt soo.... Does anyone else get Stranger Things vibes from that song? -

LOVED your video! Definitely way more entertaining than traditional vlog videos. I could never have the patience to watch one of those things in entirety. Never too late to coin a term for your unique style! And I made sure to like and comment on YouTube as well. Also, glad to see that the park's safety policies are being followed pretty well. I can't imagine wearing a mask on some of those water rides, though. Walking around with a damp face smelling like ride water... just another reason to bring more than one mask to the park, I guess. -

Certain coaster enthusiasts won't have any trouble keeping people six feet away from them. -

Either I'm looking at that photo wrong, or that is a CGA-level of unshaded queue. EDIT: I realize it might not be completed yet. I really have no idea how far along they are. Just selfishly hoping there are going to be more shade structures than what I'm seeing in this photo. -
I wasn't comfortable getting into it either but now that you have, I can say that I've also been noticing that, and it IS weird! Some people I know actually kind of frown on me for having a SeaWorld pass for that reason. I almost didn't post it and I'm trying really hard to keep from injecting my politics into it in hopes that nobody else will, I really just think it's weird that they're targeting the niche-iest of niches and you can't NOT talk about it because it's just so weird. "Hey, do you want to make America great again but also learn about only eating sustainable seafood, fighting climate change and saving sea turtles by purchasing re-usable straws? We have just the place!" That's a really interesting theory. I don't know if the Florida anti-mask rightists are the reason masks aren't being enforced by the park, but whatever the case, I hope the park gets it under control soon. The park is going to have a bigger problem on their hands if they become known as the park "where you go to get COVID" because they weren't enforcing distancing and people start getting sick after visiting. I highly doubt that Disney is going to have that problem.

Yikes. So basically the ride is almost done, but the park still owes 3mil on it and they can't open it until it's paid off? Idk how these things usually work... are there ways the park can make payments on it to open the ride, or does it have to be paid in full first? (bear with me... I've clearly never made a 3mil purchase before )

Thank you for the report! It sounds like they have a very good system set up for the queuing. I hope the GP get with the program quickly, because it could work out really nicely. Virtual queue the next coaster as you get off one, and by the time you leisurely walk to the next one, it would be time (or close to time) to ride. It's a shame more people aren't wearing masks and social distancing, though. They don't get that if people aren't doing it and another wave of virus hits, the parks are just going to close again. No thanks. Put on your damn mask and stand away! Some coaster enthusiasts won't have to worry about people naturally standing away from them... their odor and "winning personality" are already enough to repel people.

Social Distancing: The Ride. Do you know what other ride would be great for social distancing? -

True, I'm probably jumping the gun with asking questions the park hasn't answered yet, I was just hoping that maybe they gave more info somewhere that I might have missed. Honestly, I'm psyched about the possibility to visit the park with less crowds. I don't really want to be around a lot of people right now either, so while these reservations and stipulations are a PITA, I'm still glad the park is implementing them. -
^Who knows what's going to happen in the fall, but I'm glad it sounds they're at least entertaining the possibility of bringing the event back this year. I see where the KK event is listed for the 30th but where do you see that Holiwood kNights was rescheduled as well? The site is still listing the previous dates.

I also saw something on there about completing a health screening 24 hours prior to visiting the park, but it sounded like it was some kind of online screening, so it seems like someone could easily lie even if they were showing symptoms. I guess it's probably more for covering their a$$es so if there is someone sick who goes to the park, it's on the person for lying on the screening. Also, I haven't seen this anywhere, but is there some kind of limit to how many reservations you can make in a week? Because I'd like to go several times during the passholder week if I can, but I'm not sure if it's one reservation at a time. -
I really don't intend for this to become an argument of any sort, I'm honestly just curious as to what you all are thinking. 1) Do you intend to visit parks as soon as they open? 2) What is your reasoning for your choice? 3) Are there any stipulations that would change your mind? As for me: 1) I do plan to visit the local parks as soon as I can. 2) I just really want to go, and I'm okay with following any park guidelines involving masks and social distancing. I also don't have any kids, visit any elderly or at-risk people, and I don't have any health conditions that would put me at a higher risk. 3) The only thing that would keep me from going would be 1) me getting sick and wanting to prevent others from getting it or 2) the illness gets to a very high level, but in that case, I think the parks would close again anyway. I might hold off on Holiday World until Splashin' Safari reopens in July. There are no right or wrong answers IMO, I'd just like to gauge how the enthusiasts are feeling about visiting during this time. If a lot of enthusiasts don't want to go, that could mean that GP also aren't going to visit en masse and less wait for me.
