Why did I fail C3 so badly yesterday

Hi my new point is just a matter of administration really. In the disclaimer at the bottom of the page you mention parks concerned. None of Legoland, Tussaud's Group, Paramount Parks or Busch Entertainment exist as individual entities any more. Sorry, nitpicking I know, but it was just something I noticed.

I never went to Cypress Gardens but another Legoland couldn't hurt. Merlin are putting on a really good show at present. I wonder if this could end up as the new home for the Jungle Coaster from Legoland Windsor which I think is being taken apart either this off season or the next.

I like it! I think that it is so representative of TPR, it seems very fun without looking childish. Eventhough I only submitted a logo, not a card design, I would be happy to help with anything in the future Robb, it's just this time I'm buried doing about 10 exams. Shame the competition wasn't a couple of months ago!

Generally I like it, it feels somewhat... more responsive. It looks more modern too, however I have the same feelings about looking flat. Especially around the calender. Robb, could you post a screenshot of what it *should* look like so we know if it is different? EDIT: All photos in threads are being displayed as attachments to download.

Hey that is looking fantastic. I am part of my school's film club, Vibrant Films. You have clearly thought about the scripting well, and it looks professional style - low budget. Exactly what you want. The only suggestion I would have is when inside the building, add a sort of black and white effect. Would just make it feel a little more spooky. What editing program are you using?

I chose in no order Jds03, n7 and Calaway Park. Although many of the designs are very good I thought these three were the best. I also thought that the original design from n7 was the best. As for Jds03's card, I actually quite like it. It has a slight 'Crash Bandicoot' feel to it, it is also remarkably similar to one of the old Tussaud's annual passes. As for Calaway Park's, it just *felt* right. Congratulations to all involved, if I didn't have dammed A-Levels I would have redone my logo and presented a card, but I just didn't have time.

There is divided opinion in the UK over the issue, following the loss of companies from many different industries in previous years of Rowntree's to Nestle, Terry's to Kraft, MINI to BMW, Aston Martin to Ford as well as the slightly out of date one, Tussauds to Dubai International Capital (Tussauds is now part of Merlin Entertainments). Cadbury was a historically a Quaker company, which looked after its employees well. They even built a town called Bourneville for the employees, the name is recognisable as the name of the dark chocolate produced by Cadbury. There are fears over the future Kraft has intended for these employees. This deal has finally happened after a bidding war between Hershey's and Kraft for Cadbury. At any rate, I hope you Americans like chocolate, I think you will be getting some more soon.

The deep snow that has covered the whole of the UK has gone over the last couple of days. We're now back to characteristic UK weather, dull, grey, cold and drizzly.

Robb, are you looking at Windows or Linux servers? Do you have a preference of country? I know that in the UK, Rackspace fares fairly well with generally favourable reviews. The problem is that is a seriously powerful server you're talking about, I'm sure most companies will make one for you, but are unlikely to have any that powerful pre-configured.

N7 definitely the best. I've found this quite entertaining since all the other logos I have done have been for products and companies. Never the 'fun' element that using Gadzooks font forces you into. I will be honest, it is a hard font to work with, but epitomizes the ethos of Theme Park Review.

Great idea. Not best timing for me though because of exams, I'll try to give it a try when I have a chance I'm not quite sure which fonts I have are free from licensing.

1. What are your initial thoughts? A pretty cool idea. I can see that this is going to create direct competition for ACE, it is simply the logical step forwards and by doing this you will be able to further solidify TPRs reputation amongst the amusement industry. 2. Can you think of anything else we could be offering? Try to keep the benefits as international as possible. A preliminary list of available park events etc would be appreciated before sign up. The membership card should also look very official complete with photo, member ID etc. It should be something that could easily be presented to a park and that the park will be able to accept without question. 3. Is this something that interests you? Yes, but I wouldn't get it immediately, if at all. 4. Why would you NOT be interested in this? I simply do not think that I would use it enough. I just don't have time. Maybe in the future when I start doing more TPR trips I might want to use it but at the present it simply isn't feasible. 5. Any additional feedback you can give us based on the information you see here. I wish you the very best of luck with this project but I have my doubts as to how many people will actually sign up for it. This is largely due to the demographics of TPR. A large proportion of the community is under 18, it is very unlikely they will sign up for it. There is also a large proportion in the 18-25 bracket, many of these are at universities across the world and will most likely not have the time/money to use the membership. I hope that I am wrong since I want the very best for the site.

This looks amazing. I've always wanted to know more about Futuroscope since I have seen it so many times in my french textbooks over the years. It looks amazing, looks like a good visit. Great report.

Although I am sure many will be disappointed with today's announcement I am definitely looking forward to what Alton is producing. A new concept, if implemented properly, will be wonderful.

Hey everyone. After battling against Coastertube, I have finally managed to upload the video of my time at Walt Disney World. The reason for the lack of video at EPCOT is that our camera was a bit dodgy and decided to pack up for the whole day. Oh well! Enjoy! Problem fixed, I have successfully uploaded the whole video. I wonder if my problems the other day were related to the increased loads on the server from the free dvd. Thanks

Hey Robb, I just uploaded a 30mb file fine. It was actually uploading at 3X the speed of the one the other day. I'll try re-uploading my other video soon. Thanks

I've tried about four times now and same result each time. I'm wondering if this is actually a problem with my broadband, dropping the connection. Oh well, I'll keep trying. Trying from school might be the best move.

Hi TPR, I've been trying to upload a video to Coastertube for my WDW trip report however the uploader will restart part way through whenever I try. I have tried on a couple of computers in my house. Here is some data on the video: Web browser: Mozilla Firefox 3.5 OS: Windows XP SP3 / Windows Vista SP2 Video size: ~230mb Average upload speed: 27 kb/s Video type: WMV I am fairly tech savvy but I don't really know how to solve this. Is there anywhere I could FTP it to or anything instead. Failing that I'll just try using one of the Macs at school when I have a chance. Any ideas?

Hey everyone, thanks for all the great comments. I really wish that I had been alive when EPCOT was in its golden age, it sounded as if it was fantastic. Anyway, I have made a video and it will be on here SOON. It's made and ready to go but I am going to have to find a time to upload it since it is 234mb and when I tried earlier was only uploading at 25kb/s. So there is a video, but it's coming soon!
