  1. Great Start. Looking forward to the next installment. I always find it fascinating to see trip reports about London sights. I work in London just along the South Bank of the Thames and see some of the sights most days. Example: I walk past the London eye to get to McDonald's for lunch. Familiarity does lead to contempt. - James.
  2. I did notice that the larger user name font has caused long user names to overflow the box. Browser : Firefox 3.5.7. - James
  3. I was looking at the earlier pictures thinking 'It was a shame I missed that drop tower it looked cool.'. Then I saw the last two photos and there is me on the drop tower! Then the memories came flooding back. Strange how you forget things. Great photos as always. - James
  4. Hi Erik, Great trip report. Brings back lots of good memories. Also, thanks for the new avatar. Have Fun - James. P.S. Sorry for wasting your video tape by forgetting the name of the ride I was on. Doh!
  5. Brief introduction: Hi All, I am James. Back to the topic, I went to the pub last night after work. I went to Doggerts which is on the Thames in London. This pub always has a number of guest ales. At present they have guest ales themed to the 'Taste of spring'. One ale in particular stood out. (I apologize for the quality of the pictures as I only had my old camera phone with me) In my opinion the taste was nothing special. It tasted like any other average ale. The pint, which is surprisingly green. The label did say it would be green, but I was expecting a dark green rather than this neon color. The badge. Note the label above the badge, this introduces you to the ale with a brief description of the flavor.
  6. I am just under 6ft. I have the general problem of fitting into Arrow trains. The over the shoulder restraint is normally very tight on my shoulders. The worst coaster so far has been Viper at Six Flags Magic Mountain. The restraint was so tight that it popped one notch during an inversion. Scared the *** out of me. I also suffer pain on Colossus at Thorpe Park. It is not a problem with my shoulders but with my thighs. The new restraint goes over the shoulders easily enough but when pulling back toward the chest the restraint first makes contact with my thighs. When the ride op pushes the restraint against my torso my thighs get crushed.
