  1. BTM ERT?!?! Sweet! I think you just used a photo from DCA for that TOT picture. That is just eerie!
  2. Ha, great report. That park looks like a fine park at parts, but then ghetto at others! What is with that?
  3. cool report, thanks! I think I was at SFStL the day before you were there because it rained as we left. There was no squealing on EK. I also think I as at SFGAm at around the same time. I agree with you on the trim brakes on RB. Brutal. Dark Knight was ok. I'd rather see the movie. Much cooler. I went to navy pier, too. Were they filming a news story on the dark knight while you were there? We got to see the batpod.
  4. X2...(first time) and Batman at SFMM. Batman just happens so fast, it's awesome.
  5. we did the same thing, and we made it onto X in under about an hour and a half. Hopefully you'll do better, try to get to the gates while they do theopening ceremonies, then when they let you in you won't need to bring up the rear.
  6. Yeah, Ninja=not a good first ride. Head over to Viper or X2. (or Revolution) those are the closest to the entrance. Or maybe even Tatsu. X2 and Tatsu get some of the longest lines. How long exactly was the wait for Batman, I think it's an amazing ride...
  7. My worst coaster experience was probably Psyclone at SFMM. Good thing it's gone now, because I hated that ride. That was probably my first full SFMM experience too. Me and my friend nicknamed it "Dieclone." (Hey, I was a little kid!)
  8. I just got back from SFMM and I had a great time. X2 was amazing, and Thomas Town looked nice. The park was pretty empty though, so we hit nearly every ride except Viper. The only problem we had all day was in the Sky Tower... yes, the doors malfunctioned while we were in the museum, which was very cool. But I spotted Jahan, (I was the blond kid with the slightly long hair). All in all, it was a great day. It was the first time in my life I've seen an empty Riddler's line.
  9. wow, this is the best RCT2 park I've ever seen! Great work!
  10. I just rode X2, and I must say... It is incredible! Even though the fog was not functioning, the fire definately was! I loved the music, except Sabotage. I hate that song. Anyways, great job MM with Thomas Town and X2 and such, I got a taste of both and its a great step in the right direction.
  11. That looks awesome, So it looks like the fog is similar to Hulk as in diving into a "fog pit?"
  12. I just rode it while it was in technical rehearsal yesterday, and it was great! I loved it, and I agree with Rob. It was a nice addition and an amazing atmosphere.
  13. Since the ride is still in technical rehearsals for the weekend, there is really no definite answer to that question. So far they have been soft opening the ride every day, but that doesn't mean they will on Sunday. If you really want to ride, I would suggest hanging out by the ride and asking the crew members. Orlando's was open for a little more than a week before the real opening, so I assumed we would do that too.
  14. yes! So if we go on Sunday, we will be able to ride it as it will be in soft opening?
  15. So, just to clarify... is it open open? Like, can people just walk up and ride it? Because we're going on Sunday, and crossing our fingers. It looks great, I'm glad they managed to build it simoultaneously with Orlando, it looks exactly like it.
  16. Re: Thrill Escape « Reply #7 on Today at 10:58am » -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hey everybody, it's Shane. Sorry for a whole week without updates, I had school. Well, I went over to the construction site only to find this: That mountain looks interesting... But Further along the road, there was a small set of tents that were advertising the park, and handing out papers. Here they are: This looks like the woodie that I spotted last update. Here is an advertisment for Jinx. This looks like a cool ride! I'm not very fond of flats, but this one looks pretty cool. Sorry I couldn't bring that much to you guys, but there was a giant fence blocking the park. Until next time, -Shane
  17. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Quote: Thrill Escape will be a place where you can ride the most ultimate thrills you can find in the country. We currently have two coasters completed at the moment, and we plan to have at least three more by the opening of the park. Don't worry, we didn't forget the kids. We plan to have at least five 'kiddie' rides by the time of opening. We plan for this park to be a huge success, and hopefully everyone will love it. -Thrill Escape-Opening This Summer- Hey everybody, it's Shane here again, I just cut that out of an article in a newspaper. I finally know a little bit about this park. But I was still curious, and I'm not that patient. I decided to go back to the site to check it out. The employees were training, but they were teenagers and too busy talking to notice me sneak past them. The entrance had a nice feel to it, but I snuck a peek in the buildings and they were still furnishing the interior. This must be the coaster I saw from the street. Jinx. Nice name, I guess. The coaster is pretty photogenic. Right when I took this picture, I noticed this guy, he must be in the staff or something. Before he could notice me, I ran off, leaving the unexplored to be, well, ..unexplored. More soon. -Shane
  18. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hey, my name's Shane, and I just moved to Tampa, Florida. Right when I got here, I noticed some construction signs along the road, and then a huge open space with a bunch of trees. It looks like something big is being built here... It looks like there's a new private road that was just paved, but it's blocked. I'll just climb over, I guess. Is that what I think it is? It looks like there's some kind of building... Hmm.. Thrill Escape. Interesting. When I was walking back, I noticed some kind of green tower thing. I'm starting to get an idea of what this is. I found this on the ground near the entrance to the private road. I'll have to check this out a little more later. Until next time.. -Shane
