YES!!!, Going to Cliff's today
crispy replied to crispy's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Foly Huck, man the Rattler was KICKIN ASS today, the airtime was INTENSE, if we didn't have restraints, we would have been ejected out of the coaster, multiple times. I was reminded today why the Rattler was rated as the 24th best wooden coaster in the world, AWESOME! With cliff's there is no BEST day, but at least wait untill they are finished installing the new rides, none of them were working today, which was a bit of a bummer. Cliff's is rarely crowded, and you will find that even on the busiest of days, the waits are less than 20 minutes. I'm at work now, and will post the trip report tomarrow. We did the whole day, including a trip to Mcdonalds before we went, and eating diner at the park, for less thna $80, for a family of three, Wow -
I like the Women, considering I am Married and have my 2nd kid on the way

First of all, you have to know your cheap food here in America, its Cup o Noodle, or Top Ramen, Top Ramen goes for about .10 cents a pack, thats cheap eatin'. As for where to stay, look up Motel 6. They usually have fairly clean room, and are usually more uh well there pretty cheap (sometimes). You cand find rates on the internet, but if you try to stay to close to a park, it will cost you. try to distance yourself from the parks and you can find rooms from around $30 to $40 a night, if you really go cheap, you might find some as low at $20, but they may be a bit scary(insert our stay in Little Rock, at a total dive, to this day I am no longer allowed to pick the motels) My best suggestion is to go to walmart, but some sandwich stuff, and a cheap ice chest, and eat out of your car, you will save a TON of money not eating out. If you have to eat out, hit Mcdonalds, Wendy's, Burger King, or whatever floats your boat, and try to go cheap,. Remember, Motel 6, Walmart, Top Ramen (or Cup o Noodle, they are like 50 cents), sandwich stuff, and a $2.00 Ice chest, and your on your way to a cheepo vacation have fun

I can't wait, we will be going to Cliff's Amusment Park today, and I will be taking all kinds of pictures, and will certainly do a trip report, I drive by it everyday, and can see the new Falling Star ride, but have yet to see the Drop Tower go up, so I'm not sure it will be up, but, it is basically a carnaval ride, so I'm still holding out hope. The only sad thing is that Elissa's favorite Water Park, well in name only, will not be open untill mid May, Water Monkeys' Adventure. (EDIT) Woops almost forgot the best news of all. My work has a coupon for all day passes for $11.95, team that up with free parking, and that is a cheap date my friends

crispy replied to Millenniumguy's topic in Random, Random, Random

Controversial Coasters!
crispy replied to jarmor's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
That is TOTALLY true. My former roomate moved back to Santa Cruz and rented a Studio Apartment for $950 a month, YIKES The Santa Cruz City Goverment had a chance, to not only clean up the worst part of town, but find a way to really help people in need, no one wants to raise their children in that environment. The area is very pretty, but I'm very glad I left -
yeah, but they also don't ever add the 10 million dollar coaster either, while the addmittance is free, most of the stuff there, food, and gifts are pricey, its also $10 to park. With thier main expense being the upkeep of the Giant Dipper (something they do very VERY well), thay are very VERY profitable, I'm sure they make more money than any individual Six Flags Park. Six Flags is not doing so well

I was playing arond on the internet and found a site that had some Attendance numbers, and to find the small Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk at #19 with 3 MILLION, was a shock. They beat evry Six Flags park out there, the closest being SFGA with 2.8 million They have one good coaster, and one crappy coaster, it must be the stinky beach brining them in BTW this is 2004 numbers and here is the link to the Coastergratto website where the numbers can be found AMAZING!! http://www.coastergrotto.com/theme-park-attendance.jsp

I'm not alone, my wife was home last night, and I very rarely drink like that. I'm home alone now, and the only thing I've had is coffee
-
I rarley do shots, I usually do mixed drinks, but My FAVORITE tequila is Patron Silver, its pricey, but super smooth, other that that I have Crown, All sorts of Bicardi, and Madori, Ameretto, ect, again I usually do mixed drinks, cause I really do not like the taste of Alchohol. But last night I had Peppermint Schnapps. as the peppermint hides the alchohol taste, so it goes down pretty smooth, if not almost overwelmingly peppermint, one of my favorite shot drinks is Goldschlager, I like Cinnamon better than peppermint
