  1. I also like that tunnel for that wooden coaster that goes under a huge parking lot and back through the other end. They need to turn off all the lights down in there and put fog machines and strobe lights in there. It would create a spooky effect.
  2. What stand up is sitting in Gurnee's storage?
  3. I still would like to think, we could get our stand up coaster, if we paid the money to rebuild (Batman: The Escape). Does anyone know the status on it, sense it was last stored at Darien Lake? If whoever is not going to use it, I wouldn't mind having it refurbished and installed in Gotham City. As for the indoor attraction, I would rather them spend the money for a true indoor coaster. I don't think anyone wants a Dark Knight. Many people I spoke to did not like it or said it was over hyped. Could the building have possibly been an enclosure for (Jokers Jinx)? I don't think that ride exceeds 90 feet. On wikiepdia, it says that Joker's Jinx is only 78.8 ft tall. Not only that, but this would have been a plan under the old Premier Parks management. Most of their plans were for thrill attractions.
  4. I've been going to SFA for years. The staff can get like that at times because when you ask people to do it nicely they still do it. I do agree, they are not suppose to yell but it can get irritating when people don't listen. I plan on going to the park in maybe a week or so, to check things out and take pictures. They should really consider putting some nice lights on Superman lift hill. For all of the people who have seen (DOMINATOR) and (BEHEMOTH) you will notice the red lights on the railing of the lift hill. Superman would look very appealing in the night if it had one of those.
  5. The best tunnel on a coaster has to be Flight of Fear at Kings Dominion. They keep it dark with no lights. I can take my LED keychain light and flicker it on and off during the ride and it scares people. Thank Premier Rides for building this. It's my favorite ride.
  6. You do have a good point. I would like to see the ride list if you can find it. So, I was right about the building for the dark ride.
  7. Sorry, I meant to say "A bot would not respond back to you like I am. I forgot to put the "not" in there.
  8. Believe me I'm not a bot. A bot would continue to respond back to you like I am.
  9. I know. I wasn't bashing on you, I was being friendly. In other words, I can see a brand new regime possibly being brought aboard. For some reason, I just can't see (Stark Investments) really keeping Six Flags Inc for a long time. A company like that is looking to make a quick buck off the company, with it coming out of bankruptcy. Six Flags Inc definitely isn't a quick job in reviving. They are going to wait for a good buyer and sell it. That's just what I think. So who is looking forward to the Coaster After Dark special at SFA this season? It's about time they started one.
  10. Hercules, look at what (Capitalize), wrote. It was plan that Six Flags Inc had given the county board to show them, what the park was going to install over the years. That way approval would be a lot easier for the installations and possibly future attractions. Rumors have been brought to me that the old CEO, (BURKE) was going to continue with the plan shortly after the park received the Hurricane Harbor expansion. Now here is one thing that interest me. (BURKE) made the decision to close (ASTRO WORLD). In the last post I pointed out that (Batman: The Escape), was a stand up. It's possible that (Batman: The Escape) would have been rebuilt here at SFA, in order to continue with the master plan. If I'm thinking correctly, before he could really put anything into effect, (SNYDER) took control of the company and the ride relocations went in a different direction when (SHAPIRO) started his family friendly idea. Now that I think about it, I do wish that (BURKE) was still our CEO because then we would have possibly gotten our stand-up coaster that was on the master plan. It would have been cool to introduce a new batman villain and use (KILLER MOTH) as a theme. Think how cool that would be. Killer Moth was like a copy of Batman. He built the (Moth layer) and modeled it from the batcave and even built himself a (Moth Mobile). He was an anti-Batman. This theme would have been cool for the Intamin Stand-up at SFA.
  11. (JOSH LINN) is right. We were suppose to get a stand up coaster. I actually wish we had gotten that instead of Batwing, because Batwing turned out to be a break down mongul. Everytime you turned your eyes towards that ride, people were walking back up from the ride because it was broke. Not sure, why they have never been able to get their knowledge down on that ride, but it's not one that I mess with anymore. A lot of people also thought that when ASTRO WORLD closed, that SFA would receive (Batman: The Escape), but it ended up being sent to Darien Lake. It would have actually restored our master plan and added the stand-up coaster that was on there. Here is a wikipedia link of the coaster. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Batman_The_Escape
  12. I was just mentioning that it's a possibility. Now the company is being ran by bondholders. It's not like how it was back when (BURKE) was in there because he atleast went toe to toe with Dan Snyder, but lost. (SHAPIRO) does not know a huge steak in the company at all, so his removal could be put into effect if they wanted to. All depends on what the bondholders want.
  13. I remember hearing it a long time ago. One of the things we were suppose to be with the master plan was a stand up coaster but Batwing took the place of that. Some where in that master plan a very sizable building was suppose to be installed some where in Gotham City. Rumor said that it was suppose to be some (Sally Dark Ride), but who knows? Sally could have had it for a while and it could have possibly turned into some sort of indoor coaster as time went on. If you really wanted to know what was on the master plan you would have to contact the county board and get the information from them. Sense it's real old and the company never followed through with it, I'm pretty sure they would be more than happy to give you the run down on it.
  14. I would like to see the company continue this parks master plan from years ago. The building that they were going to install opens up new ideas for attractions. What do you think think was going to go in the building?
  15. I see what your saying. Pretty good point you make. But here is something I had on my mind. Was it a kick in the gut to everybody when (SNYDER) lost his seat? If I remember correctly, the bondholders decided to remove him. Whats to say they won't do the same thing to other members of the board, including (SHAPIRO)?
  16. That's right. I did forget about that. But I still say that (Paramounts) can be used.
  17. First of all, yea, Marvel still has the contract with Universal, but can't the same thing be applied for Nickelodion being used in both Universal and Kings Dominion? If you have the money, they would easily sign a deal with someone else as well. I'm pretty sure if someone else wanted to use Warner Bros, they would just go ahead and sign the deal with them. I just thought Paramounts would be better for Six Flags than Warner Bros. The company has never really used the Warner Bros theme to the fullist. All I really see from them are Loony Toons, Batman, and Superman. Other than that, no monumental theme has come from it. They don't even have a Loony Toons 4D show. I thought the parks would have received something like that a long time ago. Not only that but it's very hard getting approval for things like Batman and Superman. If you want to compare DC COMICS to MARVEL, I would say that Marvel is easier, given the fact that they have been doing more moves than DC Comics. DC Comics are still stuck on Superman and Batman and still can't get the second Superman movie in production. Not only that but I'm having major doubts about this Green Latern movie coming out on time. Bottom line is, (Paramounts) puts out more franchises more frequently that can be used for both thrill rides, 4D Shows, and great family attractions. Just think for example, on whats going on now. A New Paramounts movie park is being built in Spain. It goes to show you which motion picture company is having more success.
  18. No, I can assure you I'm not a bot. I've been into the amusement park things, for you and are probably one of the most faithful coaster rides that you will meet. Just think, if they had spent some real money, they could have possibly enclosed the show stage arena as well. That way, it would have made it very easy to do a big haunted house attraction for Fright Fest. Over all, a lot of people aren't too impressed with SFA's Fright Fest in recent years. So many people have been taking the 2 hour drive to Kings Dominion. It's almost like, it's not even worth doing a Fright Fest for this park at all. Bottom line is, they need a new haunted house attraction and it needs to be a scary one, regardless of their new family friendly idea.
  19. But they really don't use theS Superman and Batman thing to the fullist. If not, thats all they ever use is just Superman and Batman. Sometimes I wish they had a deal with Marvel, instead of DC Comics. Your thinking a deal with Warner Bros would be monumental but Kings Dominion did more with PARAMOUNTS PICTURES. That's why I mentioned Six Flags dropping Warner and signing a deal with PARAMOUNTS. Themes like the Stark Trek, Adam's Family, and of course OUTER LIMITS could be used to make new attractions. Just go on a wikipedia and look at their movie list. I would rather have themed attractions for their films rather than dragging Warner along and not getting much from them.
  20. Another good idea I had in mind is seeking a new deal with a motion picture company. This way they can start making indoor rides, 4D shows, and possibly backlot tours for particular films. They don't seem to be doing much with WARNER BROS, these days so why not just drop them, and invest money in a motion picture company that you can work with. If you really want to know what I think, I always thought (PARAMOUNTS) would be better. Now this is not an attempt to bring back Paramounts theme parks, but a lot of their films can be transformed into money making attractions. For example, think of the new STARK TREK FILM. That movie would work well for a huge 4D attraction.
  21. EXACTLY. Why in the world are they thinking about building a park in another country, when the parks here in the U.S. still have a lot of improvement to do. When you come to think of it, it doesn't make the corporate management look good when they create this paradise park in another country, and still can't seem to get anything working for the parks in their home country. They did mention that the over seas parks would be put on hold until they get financially stable again. I thought having (La Ronde) and (Mexico) was enough. Like I said before, I hope bringing back the old school Fright Fest is some where on their list because I can't see this family friendly versions of it lasting much longer. Halloween season is suppose to be scary, so how can you promise the general public a spooky park event when the monsters jobs are to offer a friendly welcome to you? They need to consider changing it the name to their Halloween event. Sense it's not scary anymore, they should call it something like (Hallow Ghouls).
  22. The LIM is nothing. It's the noise that it makes when it's going through the spaghetti bowl. And yes, if your that close to the ride you will hear it and it will flood out your conversation if you don't talk loud enough. This is why I say the next ride renovation should be (Joker's Jinx). If you ask me, I would have liked to have seen them stuck some flat rides in where Thomas Town is, rather than installing a kiddie area that does't match the theme of Gotham. Or better yet, they could have used that land to create a new show arena for a new BATMAN show. This would have replace Batman Thrill spectacular, and also could have possibly been used as space a rather BIG haunted house maze for Fright Fest. If it pays off for the park, then I guess you can't get mad at it. But if it turns into something that people don't really use, then it will be another bad investment and make the park look bad.
  23. And finally someone agrees with me. This is the best time for them to start improving things. Better yet, they should now focus on becoming more unique, which means stop building the same coasters. Build more rides that are unique and make the park more signature. Improve on Fright Fest and over all entertainment that is offered inside the park. I hope this did not change all the additions that the parks have been promised for 2011. And again, I will say that certain parks need a new coaster, not another water slide.
