  1. Now that I come to think of it, the ride is pretty cool. But I do enjoy the script of the ride. I wish I had enough money so that I could design a true scary version of this ride that completely blows people's minds away. They did a good job on this project. Hope to see another Mummy if another Universal Park gets built.
  2. Even then you can still hear the noise. And it really wouldn't be that long of a distance from Joker's Jinx to Thomas Land. You would still hear the noise. We will see how people react to it when it opens up on Memorial Day. I just think after a while it will get annoying when they are running two trains on Joker's Jinx and every three minutes you have to sit in listen to it run through the cycle, and then get your conversation out before the next train starts. That's kind of how it is when your sitting right next to the ride eating Dip N' Dots.
  3. I don't really think there is anything they can do about the noise from Joker's Jinx. As I said before, the only way to dimer the noise is to enclose the ride, but everyone on here seems to hate that idea.
  4. Over all, I just want to see the parks get better and more unique from one another.
  5. Your correct. It was just wishful thinking of mine. The part of the ride I really like is when you first see the Mummy and he says " YOU WILL NEVER FIND THE BOOK". It sounds so cool when he says that. Now here is something interesting I had in mind. When they were getting (ARNOLD VOSLOO) to do the voice acting for The Mummy back in 2004, did they have him record numerous dialog just incase they were going to build more versions of The Mummy. Because the Mummy character in the ride is voiced by him. So I wonder if they have numerous spooky dialogs of him as The Mummy just incase the built another Mummy in Tokyo. Again, another random thought I had in mind. Any thoughts?
  6. Now that Snyder is gone, who will become the new (CHAIRMAN)?
  7. I just saw the new Mummy video. I knew it was going to be a clone of the Orlando version. But doesn't anyone else think that Universal could have made the story and ride course different from the Orlando version. The only difference in the ride was (THE BOOK OF LIFE). The Mummy animatronic was different as well. But altogether it copied to Orlando version. I always thought that they would have done a completely different theme and theme it off of (THE DRAGON EMPEROR). Any thoughts?
  8. That's exactly what I was saying and I think it would be the best bet for them. Like I said, most people only go to the park closest to them. For all the other people that travel a lot they would probably pay for the chain wide one. To make it more unique they could call the chain wide pass a (Universe Pass). And of course, for all the people who know they are going out of town, they could upgrade their park pass to a (Universe Pass) anytime they wanted. Both passes would allow guests to enter the park 30 minutes before opening and could also grant them (ERT) when the park closes. Sense most people come to Six Flags parks on the weekends, the (ERT) for rides would be on Saturdays and Sundays. It's always good to give guests more benefits with their season pass in order to keep them buying. Not only that, but when a new ride is built, I think it would be cool for the park to hold a season pass holder event where they can come early and ride the ride before it opens to the public. This would only be for people to receive their season pass home in the mail and pay for it on the early process day for season passes. How does all that sound?
  9. Or what they could do is the Cedar Fair method. They sell a season pass for that particular park that your at and then they have a platinum that goes for all the parks. Maybe Six Flags Inc should do that. This is why I got excited when I heard that a group of bondholders wanted to merge the company with Cedar Fair if they got control. But then again Cedar Fair offers a lot of deals. Arriving at Kings Dominion after 4 oclock, the price for a general day admission is only like thirty dollars. If you have a season pass you can enter the bottom of th park early, to avoid the big crowd of people rushing down there. Six Flags should consider doing these things if they want to improve.
  10. (Larry) most of us have to disagree with that. SFA is does not have enough in there to make it that expensive. Once they get let's say 4 or 5 more rides, then maybe. But there is no way they would get away with charging people that much for an SFA season pass. If they did that, then Kings Dominion would really be making more money. But as far as things changing for SFA, there may be more things added in the future. I can expect more money to be spent on improving the parks, now that (Snyder) is not there taking all the money for himself. But I don't think this is the end of board of director members leaving. With Stark Investments in charge, it's possible that they may want to adopt themselves as board members. Same thing happened when Snyder took the company from (Burke). As of now Shapiro is still on the board, but it doesn't mean that he wont see the back door as well. For all we know, this whole Stark Investment could just be a quick way for them to make a lot of money from selling Six Flags Inc to another theme park company. My question, is who would they sell it to?
  11. WoW, it's interesting how someone feels the same way I did about it. When he first took control of the company, I knew it was bad news. With (SNYDER) not being the owner of the company anymore, how will things improve for this park?
  12. Well of course you all may have heard that (DAN SNYDER) lost his seat on the board of directory of Six Flags Inc. Here is the link. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/04/30/AR2010043002502.html How will this change the company?
  13. That's all in the past. Other Six Flags parks have had their share of violence in parking lots too. Again, it's nothing to get all worked up about. The staff has been doing a good job in hiring good employees and friendly ones too. So you should not see that at the park anymore. If anything bad like that were to happen, get it on camera and then show it to guest relations or a near by supervisor and they will take care of the issue.
  14. I agree with Yoshi. Six Flags America rides always have empty seats, even on the weekends. Normally people want to ride with their friends, and it gets all mixed in with the flash pass riders too, so a least 5 seats don't get taken. They need single rider lines for a lot of their rides, including the ones that just seat 2 people across.
  15. I have always said that the park needs to run in a complete loop. Not sure, why they have never gotten around to it or why there is always some excuse as to why flats never get put in this park. Another thing that has been on my mind, is how many people actually notice the speed difference between (JOKER) and (POLTERGEIST) at SFFT. Here I will post a link for Joker and a link for Poltergeist. Notice how (POLTERGEIST) keeps its speed throughout the whole ride. Why can't Joker's Jinx be this fast. POLTERGEST: JOKER'S JINX:
  16. I agree with (Thrillrider). During the weekdays they don't get big enough lines to even use Flash Pass. The only time it really gets on my nerves is during the weekends and when a ride like Superman or Joker's Jinx only has 1 train going. They are forced to alternate to every other train being a flash pass train and it holds the main line up a good bit. I don't use Flash Pass either, and never really was a big fan of it coming to Six Flags parks. The only time I really was okay with it was when it was just the middle row. When they started letting them sit wherever they wanted, I was totally against it. They need to go back and just designate the middle seat for (Flash Pass). Making the middle row isn't heart breaking to riders, because anything close to the back and front is where most people stand in line at. That's the way Flash Pass was intended to be. If they did it this way, more people would be happy again.
  17. They do it in all good fun. Now, I can't say the same thing for people in line because I know most of them get mad. As I said in another post, they need to get rid of Flash Pass. On weekends when they only have 1 train, it makes the wait in line twice as long. On top of that I don't think it's fair unless you have rides where there are multiple trains, to put in an express line or a single rider line. In conclusion I think everyone should have to wait in the same line. It looks a bit unorganized when you are exiting the station and there are a tone of flash pass people in your way, on top of that non-riders who got stuck holding possessions of people who did not put their stuff in lockers.
  18. Sooner or later they are going to need a new coaster. That's what most of the general public wants from that place. No theme park should have to go 10 years without a new coaster. I hope you don't mind the small tangent, but what exactly is going on with the motion that (Capital Avenue Management) filed against the current board of Six Flags Inc?
  19. I am aware that they sold two of them. And yes, I know the third one is still at Magic Mountain. It was just a past suggestion I had back when I heard they were removing them. Not to be off topic, but I wonder what the new motion that (Avenue Capital Management) filed against Stark Investments is doing to Six Flags Inc right now. For something like a week or two, there has been no new news on the current condition of Six Flags Inc. I wonder if (Avenue Capital Management) is actually succeeding in getting a trustee from their company to run Six Flags Inc. But back on topic. There are numerous things that they could do to make haunted houses at Six Flags America. They could use the (Grand Theater) and turn that into some sort of horror house. Or, I would suggest using Renegade Rapids, as some sort of haunted trail. I wonder if there are any spare areas over along the course of that ride that could be used to create something similar to what Kings Dominion did for (Captain Black Beard)? In other news, an employee friend of mine just told me that the park got suggestion box. So if you go there feel free to jot down ideas of improvements, and possibly the park management will decide to put them in effect. I gave my friend a few of them I know are easy for the park to do.
  20. I'm responding to KDCOASTERFAN. First of all, Burke had plans to renovate SFA after the water park installation. Everyone here knew that the water park at SFA had to improve to get people coming back to the park. If you look at it, only 4 years had gone by sense the last coaster installation. It was even mentioned on another site that, the parks that received Hurricane Harbor were going to start receiving more renovations shortly after. By 2006 or 2007, SFA would have had a new ride. But when Snyder bought the company the plans were canceled. And sense our last coaster installation, it's been 1 years shy of a decade. Second, if (DEJA VU) is too tall for Southwest Territory then stick it over in Gotham City. There is tones of space over there for a new ride. Third, I have to say that the comment you made about people coming to SFA regardless is false. Eventually people will stop coming to the park, if they think it's never going to get a new ride. If it hadn't of been for the Tony Hawks Half-pipe and Thomas Land people would have seriously lost interest in the place. They knew they had to add something in order to keep people in the Washington DC area, thinking of the park. Over all, the new management has been cutting corners too much with this place, and it's time for them to start working on us and a lot of the smaller parks. The bigger parks have been good for numerous years now. Great Adventure and Magic Mountain can go a couple years without getting major additions. I'm not saying they have to go a decade, but a couple years at a time to allow some of the smaller parks to grow. People would be surprised to see how great the parks could be if all of them were on an equal level. Same thing goes for the DISNEY parks. None of them really out-do each other because they all have something unique to offer.
  21. I wasn't talking about Washington DC, just Six Flags America.
  22. I thought Vekoma fixed the problems with both (Deja Vu's). Both of them were re-opened with other theme parks and operated well from what I heard. So what was the problem giving one to SFA? As far as Two-Face was concerned, they fixed the problem. For the remainder of it's time it sat in the station just waiting to be given a second chance. The lights inside of the station still came on as normal like all the other rides do. The park didn't want to take the risk of something else happening so they decided to keep it closed until removal. Again another ride taken from us, that was replaced with nothing. How much longer do we have to sit through this nightmare? With the way things are going with the bankruptcy, I get the feeling that SFA may not see anything new for 2011.
  23. Because the attendance shows that they are not making money during Fright Fest. Only weekends, Memorial Day, and 4th of July. As said before, the place could be doing so much better. When (DEJA VU) got removed from both Great America and Magic Mountain, one of them should have came here to replace Two-Face, once the modifications at Vekoma were done. Anyone would have thought that Deja Vu would be a perfect fit for Two-Face, but instead they trade it outside of the company. And you still have not told me why you don't like my previous Fright Fest suggestions. If you don't like them, what do you think they should do?
  24. If they were not making money on them they wouldn't be doing them. Second, why don't you like the ideas I suggested? Their a lot better than what the park is currently doing and people would probably find some fascination in them. They have to do something, if they want more people to come. This is part of the reason why (Resilient Capital Management) has been fighting for control over Six Flags Inc because they don't feel the company is doing enough for the common stock holder, which also is effecting how the parks are operating. Now back on topic. A lot of the rides could be improved with minor Halloween themes that I mentioned in order to make them more appealing for Fright Fest. (KENNWYWOOD) theme park did this and it works well. Again, SFA is probably the easier park to improve right now and it's getting no major attention. Something is wrong here.
