Mirabilandia Discussion Thread
Niller replied to momo1tx's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
You have got to be kidding me. How is it not the guys fault to go in a restricted area without permission unknowingly of staff to get his hat I think that what he is saying is that when the public and non coaster enthusiast just hear about things like this, people who dies or gets serious injuries on a ride, they thinks that there has been something wrong with the ride which then caused an accident, which then leads to people being scared of going on a ride. -

Just a quick question. Have they removed their Suspended Twin Hammer called Hurricane? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MPC2l0eIScw Because I can't find it at their website, if they have, do anyone who know why, it looks like a fun ride. -

What Was The Last Coaster You Rode?
Niller replied to SharkTums's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The last coaster i rode was Desert Race in Heide Park, their new coaster for the 2007 season, which is an Accelerator Coaster, it was pretty disapointing. It's about 3 weeks ago or something. -
Tallest Ferris Wheel for Beijing 2008
Niller replied to thomas2's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Sorry. My fault. 1 mile is about 1,65 km, then 1,9 km is 1,15 miles. Then, (according to my calculations), this Beijing wheel will travel with a speed of 1,15 miles per second (1,9 km per hour). But it still is'nt that fast compared to the speed of an escalator, as you, Calvin, wrote is about 2 miles per hour. -
Tallest Ferris Wheel for Beijing 2008

The London Eye is 424 m in circumference and it takes 30 min. to make one full rotation. It means it travels with a speed of 24 cm per second (0.79 ft per second) or 0,9 km per hour (0,6 miles per hour). And with a height of 208 m, this one will approximately have a circumference at 628 m, and when it will take 20 min. to make one rotation, then it will travel with a speed of 35 cm per second (1,15 ft per second) or 1,9 km per hour (0,78 miles per hour). At The London Eye you can just walk on because it goes this slowly, but I would think the reason why you cannot just walk on at this one, is because it goes to fast. -
Okay. Sounds great. Thanks for the advise and help. I'm supposed to go with my parents so driving around and stuff like flying from Europe to the US should not be a problem. Thanks again.

Hey everybody out there. Maybe this kind of topic has been made before, but i seriously need help to find a cheap or, if not cheap then, "a not so expensive" way to have fun at Cedar Point. I live in Denmark, about 4000 miles away from the US, and i want to find a cheap flight to Sandusky or any nearby airport, for example Detroit or Chicago. Not to far away. Anyone who know a place to search for flights?? Also are there any place to search for hotels? And the last question. When will be the best period to visit? I'd like to avoid the huge crowds and so on. But it would also be great if the weather is'nt to bad. I'll be very happy if anyone could help me. Thanks.

I've always thought of why SFMM don't have any escalatores like they have at Tusenfryd in Norway and at Liseberg in Sweden like in this picture: Picture from Theme Park Review's MASSIVE Europe Trip Photo Update!

I know about terrain but that was only for the excitement so it wasn't just a flat landscape or something and i also know that the last part of the layout is a little bit wrong, but I thought it would be cool if the Corkscrew went through the Loop so I made it that way.

This is a recreatiion of the inverted coaster Talon at Dorney Park. I've made it a few months ago and uploaded it in the SpeedZone section at ThrillNetwork.com but just never thought of uploading it here, but here it is. I think that it's one og the best coasters I've ever made in NL. But I have never ridden Talon so I actually don't now the layout that well. I have tried my best by looking at pictures and videos and I think it ended up being very good. Enjoy it Talon.nltrack Immelman Loop with the Corkscrew going through Zero-G-Roll

Most comfortable?
Niller replied to thrillrideseeker's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Mine is also the B&M Mega Coaster or the B&M Floorless seats... And this may be a damn stupid question, but do you think that it could be possible to buy one of these coaster seats, and how much do you think it will cost. it's not because i want to buy one, but it would be cool to have one of those at home for example in your living room, just a crazy thought i had because i have seen these single coaster seats that you can try to sit in before you go on a ride... lol
